Oh no! Porn sites being advertised. Disgusting and repulsive.
I reviewed this player and now must change my review. The advertising is obnoxious and when I see porn site advertising the app automatically gets the “delete” treatment. Been using the app for years. Disgusting, repulsive, and sad.
My favorite podcast app, but with a few crashes
I’ve been using this app for years. I love that it can be set to download the latest episodes automatically. It can also be set to delete items in the queue when it has ended. My favorite thing is that the queue stays put no matter what. This means that if I accidentally tap a slow a few places down, it DOESN’T REMOVE everything above it, including the show I was in the middle of listening to. This is something that drives me CRAZY about most of the other popular media players. I like the latest addition of suggesting podcasts, BUT on a different screen that I never have to look at if I don’t want to. My only issue is that the app crashes/won’t run whenever I turn my phone to portrait mode, (which happens to me A LOT!!) Other than that, this app is a PERFECT 5 stars!! PLEASE don’t take any of your current features away.

新しいポッドキャストを検索する際に、日本語を入力してもほとんど表示されなくなってしまった。そのため、最近は、別の場所でrssのパスを確認したうえで、それをコピーアンドペーストしている。そこが改善されれば使い勝手が良いアプリなのだが。

Pueden agregar el podcast de momento decisivo
This app is suddenly shoveling garbage at me. It also removed my paid upgrade. Was better before.
I used to love this app. It worked as a podcast player lean and mean. Now it keeps recommending podcasts to me and it took away my paid upgrade to remove ads. I liked the limited functionality before. This “upgrade “ does nothing. They are not even podcasting 2.0 compliant. Why change and not upgrade the back end. Don’t waste your time.
Great app but…..
I love this podcast app and have used it for years. That being said, they sure do consistently find ways to break something with every update. The latest major update made it so that you can no longer see the length of podcasts in your playlist queue. It sounds kind of petty, but I used that feature all the time to know if I had enough podcasts queued. The information is still there, but all you can read is one digit. There is no way to tap and see the rest of the information.
Looks good, but has issues.
I like the layout of this player more than any other. Unfortunately, the player just stops playing for no reason and you have to type the play button twice. Other issues also on IOS.
What happened to search?
I’ve been using RSS radio for 10 years or more and love it. But has something gone wrong with the search function? Now when I search for podcast titles the app find only about 2 out of 10 that I search. There are so many podcasts that I want to listen to, but simply can’t find within the app. I’m close to moving to a different app, that I don’t want to have to do! But if it can’t find the podcasts that I want to listen to, I don’t have any other choice. Help!
Google ads in the way
This was a great app but lately google ads have popped up in the middle of the app. Very annoying
Crashes constantly now
This was my go to app for pods for a long time now. Recent updates have made overall stability simply worse and worse as the app just crashes after a minute or two on an IPhone 16 plus and repeat installs.
It's good
Shuts down during a call and resumes afterward. It's not loud enough to hear without 'phones in many situations, but I guess that's Apple's fault.
My Most Used App
I have used this app every day since downloading it in 2016. It is by far my most used app. After a series of nonsensical updates I find myself considering alternatives. The app will just stop playing a podcast. It’ll just stop. The one thing it should do, it’ll just stop doing. This is a five star app with a two star mindset.
iOS 26 broke equalizer
After installing iOS 26 audio on only this app is distorted. YouTube and other music apps play just fine.

This easy app is by far the best Podcast player out there.
Fell off this year
This was my go-to podcast app for years for many of the reasons other users have posted. However the most recent update has made this app borderline unusable. Playback stops suddenly for no reason multiple times per day, menus disappear or crash constantly. Hopefully it can be fixed.
Great app
I have been using this app for years and happily paid £2.99 a year for no adverts. I am now getting bombarded with messages to pay £14.99 a year for the same privilege Not a chance.
Recent update broke playback
After recent major update, App doesn’t seem to play in the background properly, so CarPlay doesn’t work well. It will go silent at random times, and I have to kill app and reopen to continue listening. I’ve been using this app for ages and love the customizations and options. I’m sure they’ll get it figured out, but right now it’s broken.
Latest update removed swipe down feature
This latest update removed the ability to swipe down on the player to reveal the menus underneath it. This is a feature that’s been around since the beginning of this app. Can this please be brought back? I didn’t realize how much I used this until it went away. I like the rest of the updated features.
New problems
After the recent update certain but not all podcasts I am listening to shut off when the app is minimized or the phone screen goes dark. This never happened before.
No app support, NO SOLUTIONS!
Once again, no app support. After last update I was unable to import my own mp3 files. Wich has been what I used this app for for several years now. They responded this time, asked me questions I answered then NOTHING. Months and months have gone by and not so much as an app update till now, only that one issue I waited months to be fixed is still there. So I eventually had to find another app and what was once my most used daily hourly fav app, has now been moved to the lost cause pile. So sad. **they say this issue has been resolved with latest update, THATS A LIE. The update is what broke it!**
Most Versatile Podcasting App
I have been using this app for around 10 years and while this little guy is not available everywhere I want it to be (in my new GM EV), I just can’t quit it. Over the years, I’ve listened to numerous podcasts over thousands of hours. What I appreciate is that it has every podcast that I’ve wanted to listen to, including one’s where I had to download a URL to get an ad free version of the podcast. Even better has been this apps versatility in setting up a listening queue. I like variety and will have news and business podcasts interspersed with more dramatic or cultural podcasts. As it stands now, this app’s only limitation is the storage space on my phone!
Latest “update”
The app crashes all the time whenever we swipe it the “wrong” way, usually down. Get this through your heads: WE DON’T CARE WHAT THE APP AND ICONS LOOK LIKE! WE JUST WANT IT TO WORK! But speaking of how it looks, we DON’T need to be reminded of which podcasts we subscribe to on the Downloads page.
Bad update
This used to be the best no-nonsense podcast app out there. Used to be! Now sluggish and cluttered.
Ever & Always Best Podcast Player
Been listening to podcasts since 2014, seen a lot of podcast players. RSS podcasts has been my ride or die since I found it. It's flexible; it's customizable; the Dev Still Supports It . . . With Love! Remains the best.
Used to be good
This used to be a pretty solid app. Used it for years. Ads could be irritating and I’d occasionally tap them on accident, but could mostly be ignored. Unfortunately, the latest update added a pop up screen asking you to buy the app that shows up all the time. It manages to even break podcast playback sometimes. RIP I guess.
It’s back
The issues from the last update have now been fixed. Back to being a great app.
Crashes
Since the update it crashes a lot. Sadly might have to start using Apple Podcasts or Spotify now
Unstable as of late
The app seems to be experiencing structural instability as of the latest update. The “now playing” screen goes unresponsive, downloads aren’t starting without explicitly opening the app and refreshing, and playback progress is frequently forgotten or regresses. Also the app is crashing far more often. Not sure what’s going on but something needs to be looked at.
Best podcast player
The best option for people who love podcasts. Easy to use, stable.
Background playback not working
I have been using this app for many years. It was always well made and worked as expected. Recent updates have made it almost unusable since the app must be open and screen on for audio to play. Unless fixed soon, I’m moving on to another app.
Great but 2 Suggestions!
I’ve used this app for at least 4 years now and I really love it! It’s extremely easy to use and not much fuss. I’ve tried other apps but there was always something that annoyed me about the others (ridiculously difficult to upload RSS feeds). I can’t give this a complete 5 stars because there are two issues that have started to become a bit inconvenient. First, I would love it if you could create separate playlists for specific shows that way everything isn’t in the same queue. Lastly, the most recent update has really made it difficult to effectively use the app. Whenever I try to use any of the playback options the app freezes and I have to exit out of it every single time. Please fix this issue!🙏🏾
Latest update not very good
They removed the ability to scrub the audio to the end in the mini player. They now fill the download queue with distractions of stuff that is downloaded, not just what is downloading.
Showing adds to a paid subscriber
My subscription runs for many months, but all of a sudden I got adds and was being told that I need to subscribe to remove them. Not acceptable. Upon giving a bad review I was contacted by the developer with instructions to go to settings and restore my subscription. At first this didn’t work, but after closing the app and shutting down and restarting my iPad the app stopped showing me adds. It appears that the subscription price is increasing, the last time I purchased it was $3.99 per year, it looks like the next time that it comes up for renewal it will be $19.99. A 5 times increase is A LOT for an app. That seems like too much to pay each year so I guess I’ll be checking out other podcast apps to see what they have to offer.
Good Podcast Reader
My favorite podcast reader. While update initially bricked the app, support worked with me to fix the problem (which was particular to me apparently).
App ruining
This app has been ruined. I use to be able to listen to my podcast while browsing other apps or while my phone is closed. While now those features are locked behind a paywall. I would give this app zero stars if I could.
Summer 2025 Update Not Good
This has been my fav podcast app for quite a while. The update a few days ago have resulted in the screen freezing making me unable to change episodes, rewind, FF, etc. after I try to do either of those things, the app shuts down. I hope it’s a simple and quick fix.
Ads in recent update
I loved this player! Gladly purchased premium because it was great. The recent update introduces ads to paying users. I will be looking for a different app. Such a shame!
What has happened???
Nothing stays added to the play queue. Keep adding over and over without joy. Please address this.
Still the best!
After all these years, this is still the best podcast app, in my opinion. Every now and then I try others to see if they have surpassed this app. They have not. Other podcast apps get more attention and praise, including ones that don’t play video. I don’t get it. THIS is the one to get. So customizable. And it plays video!
Application is very buggy now
This used to be a fantastic app. Most recent updates are full of bugs. Auto refresh fails no matter what I've tried. I need to manually force refresh. The downloads screen is messy when it used to show just the downloads, i don't want suggestions on my download stats. The download screen used to show live updates as podcast would download. Now it just sits there until they're downloaded and it gets erased from the download that screen there's no real updates, its a useless screen now.
Possible huge price increase
Subscribed a couple years ago for $2.99 a year. Renews in Sept. Latest version came out in May and ads appeared. Wanted $14/ year to remove ads. Even though I renewed 8 months ago for a year.
Update ruined previously great app
Suddenly I’m getting error messages & ads have appeared since today’s update. The feeds won’t refresh so not this previously great app is ruined.
Review
I was really enjoying this app but a fairly recent update has changed that. It’s less intuitive and I seem to have less control now.
New devs make random changes
Been a user of this app for more than a decade. The new devs have made the interface more cluttered and stripped away previous functionality. The new rounded buttons go so hard tho. Very Web 2.0. Very cool. Very cutting edge. I also really enjoy the bold font. Super great for legibility. Can’t wait for the next update where they break or “improve” something else. There are plenty of other podcast apps. This one’s new owners destroyed it. Goodbye. So long. Happy my subscription is up in several days.
Critical Freeze
After updating to iOS 16.6 on an iPhone 14 Pro Max, the app gets stuck on the launch screen. I can only force restart the phone using the Volume Up → Volume Down → Side (Lock) button combo. Please fix this as soon as possible. I currently can’t enter the app to export logs.
Ads now gone (Paid for it, now there are ads)
Edit: thanks for the reply. Ads now gone following your instructions. This has never happened in previous updates so hopefully was a one-off. Here’s what I said before: I paid for this app. Now in the latest version they have inserted ads. It’s a classic bait and switch, charging for an ad-free app and then later deciding to make extra money by putting ads in anyway. I’ll make sure to avoid this developer in future.
Was a big fan but
It's just stopped working. Am now unable to search for a podcast - I get a message saying the operation couldn't be completed, even after deleting and re-downloading the app. The app was also crashing and closing after a few seconds, hence the need to re-install. Both issues reported using the in app feedback function but no response or fix forthcoming. I cannot stress how disappointing this is as have been using this app for years now - it has been a constant companion on trips abroad - and have subscribed also; to see it now fail and break with no fix is upsetting to me.
Can't be cast
This app would get 5 stars if there was a way to cast audio wirelessly to my chromecast and listen at home, rather than needing to plug it it. Otherwise it's a fantastic simple app that lets me download entire podcasts from a non Apple website
