It would be good to have a choice of theta noise
Would really appreciate the pink noise without engine vibration element. Just waves or a natural sound. I'm the sort that can't sleep in hotels with a ventilation fan humming constantly, or who'll pad around a house trying to work out where the vague machine humming is coming from. Rain or waves excellent. Quite an expensive app. Would be good to have a couple of theta choices or the chance to preview before buying. Appreciate this isn't the goal of the app.... But still. Also, pls note my email address which terminates in.eu isn't recognised, although I'm happy to see logging in isn't necessary. But for those who do want to share their email addresses with you, this could impact other European Union users. Quite a lot of emails terminate in.eu here. I'd hoped to contact you via a ticket but can't and I'm guessing, after multiple captcha attempts, that I can't submit this because of the email, again. I'm guessing it's that because there is no indication, when trying to submit a ticket, of why it's blocking.....

This app seems very professional, and I would definitely download it if I were you, but but I’m pretty young so my parents won’t let me spend money on it. Me and my sister tried to do it and we really want it but we didn’t have any money for it again if you have money for it I definitely recommend you getting this app you can immediately tell that this app is professional totally recommended for the people that have money for it. Doesn’t have to be for people that have problems with sleeping? this is an app for people that have trouble sleeping and people that are perfectly fine with sleeping recommended.🙂

Too confusing
It works!!
I've struggled with insomnia for years. After giving birth three months ago, it grew much worse. So on top of the normal sleep deprivation, I still couldn't sleep. This app has changed my life. I fall asleep easily now, usually before the session is finished. Even when I get up for feedings in the middle of the night I can use the app to fall back asleep if I have trouble. I don't have the anxiety I used to about sleep either. This is absolutely amazing. UPDATE: I started using this app again and while the hypnosis is still wonderful, I wish it would turn off when it's finished. I wake up many hours later to find my phone still on and my battery drained. Please fix!
Used to be good..
Just re downloaded this as it used to work a treat, but now you have to keep screen unlocked or it won't play. Too much of a drain on battery since once it's finished your phone will be unlocked all night potentially. V disappointing so will probably delete.
Has a bug
I really love this app, however when I lock my iPod the app stops. Considering I only use the app to sleep I can't keep my iPod running the whole night.

Soo downloaded this app. So I seem to be required to sign up for a 7 day free trial. I do t understand how I saved $7.99, do you mean that it usually requires one to pay $7.99 in order to partake in a 7 day trial? I’m not willing to risk not canceling a trialSubscription, only to be billed $9.99 for my first month there after. It seems to me there or to be a better “free” version.

I find his voice calming, but not crazy about the background music.
Didn't work for me
V disappointed - it's the first sleep app I've paid for but just didn't do it for me. I think it's the voice. I've only just started using hypnosis to help me get back to sleep, and wanted something I could use on my Sonos. I've since found one on Spotify.
Used to be great...
until I tried to use it on my iPhone 6. Now the app stops working when I dim the screen. Some of the other DM apps do this, some don't. If fixed, this will be a perfect app (again)!

Stops playing when screen locks
I just saw another review of someone saying that this app doesn't work with iOS 8. They described the exact problem I'm having: the session will stop playing when the screen locks. Kind of useless when the point of the app is to help you sleep, but you have to keep the phone on and unlocked so the app will play. Wish I could have saved my $7. It's unfortunate too because I used to use Darren Marks' hypnotherapy exclusively and love his work.
Bring back the old setup!
I like the sessions. The older setup before this new update was easier to navigate - everything right on the opening screen. And app picture of the girl instead of the simple, elegant blue square isn't appealing.
Sounds sinister!!
Love the relax app by the same guy so wanted to try the sleep one. I find his voice on this one so sinister and weird - sounds like a serial killer in a horror film! Not relaxing at all
Used to love
As my title suggests I used to love this app. Especially recently as I've had a lot of very restless nights. However, since updating to iOS8 I've had one problem in particular which I'm surprised no one else has reviewed about. I would play one of the recordings and then lock my screen so I didn't waste too much battery power. The recording would carry on and I always drifted off before it would finish. Now I can't lock the screen otherwise the recording will just stop. I have to leave my screen unlocked which isn't great as its then having to be unlocked all night while I sleep. Please sort this out as I already suffer from having a rubbish battery life and this certainly doesn't help.
Relaxing, de-stressing and puts me to sleep
I love this app. I've been using it for years now. Puts me into such a trance and immediately relaxes me or guides me into sleep depending on the recording. It's amazing!
Doesn't work right with IOS8
Used to be a good app but it doesn't work with IOS8 - the playback stops when you lick you phone, so the only way to use it is to keep the phone live. Instead of fixing the app, a new subscription based one came out, so now you get to pay twice for this app if you really want it. I'll just go back to white noise tracks instead.
Sleep deeply
This is fantastic! It is very relaxing, and I constantly get to sleep before I hear the end! This is the best I have seen in the genre, and anyone who buys this, like me, had trouble sleeping, I can assure you, the night you buy this will be the best night sleep you have had in years!

If the deep sleep is referring to how long it took to download, then it is certainly working. *yawn* 15 minutes and we're still not even half way there. I love his deep relax too. Shame I'm going to need a can of monster just to stay awake long enough to even give this a chance to send me off.....
Good but the free relaxation is better
Darren has a great voice and turn of phrase for this. His timing is very good. This meditation is good, but a little rushed compared to the Deep Relax meditation by Darren. I don't get the same space out feeling on the count down with this app that I have with Deep Relaxation. Also, the meditation finishes almost immediately after the count, I would have liked a little more to push me over the edge. So, save yourself the cash and download the free app. They do the same job, except the free app does it better.
Meh
Not a fan. App does not turn off when u complete a session. If you're asleep, why keep playing. Needs more user options to customize the experience.
Deep Sleep by Darren Marks
This was one of the worst hypnosis apps I've come across. It was very short I was so irritated by his voice I couldn't get to sleep. Personally I couldn't possibly recommend.
works when nothing else will
I am astounded at how good the app is as I have suffered sleep deprivation for years. I use this and other apps of Darren Marks, and on those nights where I cant get to sleep , so long as my room is darkened and quiet, I simply fall asleep listening to the app every time, I would suggest that you put the phone face down on something soft if the animations are likely to disturb you.

Too many pauses between syllables, and long drawn out words was very distracting. The double voice over was far from soothing. I was very disappointed with this session. However, I highly recommend the total relaxation session by Darren marks.
Please re-record
The audio quality is not as good as his other apps. His voice is great but the drawn out syllables is jarring, especially during the countdown, it's at number 3 or 4 when he says "ever more reeeellllllaaaaaaaxxxxxxxeeeeeddddddddddd" and it causes me to jolt back. Now I anticipate it and can't relax. The audio is pretty muffled too. I love aches and pains app he has, I use that to go to sleep because this one is so silly. Please re-record this with more confidence and better sound mixing.

Absolute waste of money
This is a terrible app. When he first starts speaking I thought his voice was a joke, can't understand how that is meant to be soothing. It's only 20 mins long which is not enough time to send u to sleep and it was so rubbish it didn't even relax me during this time. When it ended so quickly and I wasn't anywhere close to being asleep I ended up feeling furious and even further from sleep than before I started listening to the app. Do not waste your money, there are far better free hypnosis apps on here

Now that I have this app.
Worth it!
I suffer from clinical insomnia, anxiety and panic attacks and my brain can never shut off. I've gone 3 or 4 days without sleep and it's miserable, I've tried a ton of medications both OTC and prescribed, seen many doctors and tried homeopathic treatments as well. Adding this to my sleep regimen has helped SOOOOO much. I use an app called brainwave in the background while I play his hypnosis and I am actually able to sleep 80% of the time. It's mind blowing honestly I will buy all of his apps when I can. If you also suffer from an overactive brain, anxiety, bipolar, insomnia or simply lack of sleep due to stress, I highly suggest you try this app.

Quite helpful
Once you solve the problem of earphones in bed (I just plug my iPhone into a bedside stereo) this is quite helpful for a chronic insomniac like me.
Updates made it worse
I downloaded the free mp3s that came with version 1 which are excellent. I don't like the recordings on the updated wifi free version and find the background animations very annoying. I will keep using his mp3s but not the app
