What they complain about
- Subscription model feels greedy and expensive
- Ads interrupt you constantly on free version
- Free version limits entries after twenty-one days
- Overtime calculations are too rigid and confusing
I love this app! Been using it for years
Good app to track work hours and see estimated paycheck
No long term functionality for free users
Don’t waste your time unless you like paying subscriptions!
Very Good App
I been using this app for over 4 years now. Very accurate if you know the percentage in taxes they take out. I wished they could have one more deduction for union jobs that take out once a month it would help me and maybe other customers that have this app
Booooooo you got greedy
Used this all for years but is now greedy I can’t log even one month before it asks me to pay
Single user transfer
For one person user it’s very easy, as long as the employee is trustworthy. Transferring to another user if the employee leaves is very difficult. I ended up buying another license for the new employee. Maybe it’s possible but it didn’t work when I tried it and now the employee is gone…
Great
I like it very helpful tool
Disappointed
I’ve used this app for years. Recently got a new phone and disappointed to see that now I will get charged to use this app :(
Great App, But Poor Support
Great app especially for tracking your wages in home care or other industries where wage theft is common. However, there are some bugs that force the app to close and break certain functionality (ie being able to input hourly wage) and Developers don’t respond to emails.
I love it, but a subscription
Overall, I think this is a great timekeeping app lots of versatility lots of abilities, but I think it’s biggest downfall is that it’s prescription based
21 Days Available on Free Plan
I work one job but don’t have the same hours each week and because I start at 6:45 vs 6, it can be annoying to manually calculate. I loved that this app did the math for me each week. Then I started getting ads and thought that’s fair, I didn’t want to pay for it so ads are a fair trade off. But then I get a notification that I can only log 21 days for free. Which is also fine because I work Monday to Friday and each month would be 20 days logged. So does the month not reset? Will be going back to manually calculating my hours each week.
Great App!
I’ve been using this app to track time for years now and it is always reliable. Easy to use - highly recommend.
Getting disappointed with hour tracker.
It does not log in automatically when I get to the job site.
7 day work day
Have an option for working 7 days and on the 7th day have the option for double pay
Over far from accurate.
Overtime doesn’t make sense
Glb
No Spanish Language
Must have. For real
I had it for 10 years plus. Must have.
Hostage Ware
Works pretty well but stops working after 21 days without a subscription. Old data is still accessible but nothing new can be added. No warning.
Exporting data
When exporting data can you add the quick scroll selector alphabet to the job list please. Thank you.
Great but only 21 entries
It can only hold 21 entries for free version and can't work with biweekly system in case you have missing hours
Ads
Way too many ads even on free account
User & easy friendly
Love this app. It’s easy to use, they don’t mess with it by constantly updating it or by trying to make it aesthetically pleasing but making it super not user-friendly. I use it EVERYDAY for work. So the app is VERY user friendly! Soo glad I bought it. I do wish for two things, they either had a website or an easy way I could upload/save it to excel or Google Sheets and an options to make the font size bigger. I’m not that old but it seems with every iOS update the print on everything gets sooo small.
Can’t sign in
I recently went from Android to IPhone and I’m unable to retrieve my old account or sign in
Helpful and Easy to Use
This app is very helpful for tracking work hours and calculating pay. The interface is simple and easy to understand, which makes it convenient to use every day. I like how quickly I can add my working hours and see the total earnings. It’s a great tool for anyone who wants to manage their work time and payments accurately. Highly recommended for workers who need a reliable hour and pay tracker.
Not anymore
This was great until they decided to charge five times the amount for it. Pity.
Almost perfect
Disappointed that such a well-designed app falls short where it really matters — invoicing. Despite the intuitive layout and ease of use, it lacks the ability to export your tracked time to a professional-looking PDF invoice with your company logo and branding.
Great app
Highly recommend, use it all the time
Why?
47.99 for a year subscription? Why?
Good but way too expensive
I trialed using this app for work time keeping between the office, WFH and being on site. For that it worked really well, although I did not use it to the fullest extent as that seemed too involved for my requirements. At £30pa it is far too expensive in my opinion for me to justify when I use so little of what the app can do. Instead of this app I now just use one Excel’s timekeeping templates for £0pa and that still does more than I need. I think this app is more appropriate for self employed people who need lots of detail and functionality, not salaried staff like me who only want to track their weekly total time spent working. So I deducted one star for being too expensive, but if you are self employed I can see how it could be much more useful and perhaps worth a greater amount to you. If the developer reads this and can launch a ‘light’ version for £5pa - that would be far more appealing to me and would get 5 stars. Even better would be a lifetime subscription option at an even better price point in return for a lump sum for funding other developments up front.
Timer inaccurate!
Just figured out after a year of using (yes my bad) that the timer is quite inaccurate somehow. I noticed when turning on my phone, the timer said 2:37:00, then after locking and turning my phone back on a few minutes later - it had gone back to 2:35:00. Despite knowing the time you started working it fails to calculate the correct time from that!
Good, needs more features
Custom overtime rate (not just multiples of normal rate) needed.
Basic version is great so had to get full version
Love the app and going to start using again but even though the free and paid versions are great in their receptive areas. But there’s something I feel the app on both the phone and Apple Watch are missing something, but haven’t worn Apple Watch for sometime now, but looking forward to see if the developers added new features

Great to keep track of your hours
I use this for construction payrolls it’s simple and easy to use. I’m giving 4 stars because it would’ve be nice to have an iPad version. Really good app and I’m using the free version.
Got greedy
The app is simple and does what I need. I was getting close to upgrading when it was a one time payment. Now they want $60/yr to get unlimited entries, I just don’t see the value in that. I’ve found another, more reasonably priced app that I’ll be switching to. Shame, I loved this app.
App
Love the app used it daily to keep track of hours but hate now that you have switched to subscription based
Great App
Hey, super great app tea breaker of your clock and clock out at work specially if you are a freelance and don’t have a system like regular payroll companies do very handy to have it on your phone.
Payed for the app years ago
Payed for the app years ago and now I have to pay again to keep using it? Makes zero sense. Will be moving to another app.
Good app, needs a little more customization
It’s been a great app to use so far. My only issue is with the overtime. You only have the option to pay overtime after a certain number of daily or weekly hours. Some contractors get overtime always on Saturday and Sunday regardless of hours through the week. Some get double time on Sunday always. It would be nice if you had this feature. For now I might start looking at other apps. That fit this need.
Fine app, Another subscription though
After having to pay for a full version of this app mere months ago. A subscription model has now been released that striped away the features I’ve already paid for. Features are fairly basic and user friendly. Exporting the data to a plain text email is nice. Just a real shame it’s now a subscription.
Good app
Loved the app, until they decided to charge for entries. Can’t justify the money, unfortunately!
Excellent tool
Perfect if you work from home. Its hard to keep time accurate if your company only requires you to submit a timesheet but there is no clocking machine
Updated cannot export.
Used this app for months with no problems. All of the sudden I can’t export my hours to my employer or anyone for that matter. It’s a shame. Won’t recommend this to anyone from now on.
Good app but…
I have been trying to figure out if overtime is counted for a 1/2 day: if I work 6 hrs and after 3, I hit 44 hrs. So 3 hours should be overtime. Does the app already account for that, or no? Also, seems like pay week is added to pay periods, giving you a total sum, which is(and a disappointment) confusing. It would be much easier to have your pay week start a new pay period. If the app does this, that’s fine. I just can’t figure it out. But overall, it’s one of the better time keeper apps I’ve tried. But not 100%….yet. Please address this if possible. Thank you in advance
It’s okay
I like the app, it’s good but I don’t wanna have to pay for premium so I can have more than 6 or so entries. Lame
Great app but
I need an option to stop going into the application from live activity lockscreen every time I hit pause/stop button? I just need to control (stop/pause) quickly without leaving the lockscreen. Hope you can add this option, please.
The wonder of HoursTracker
This app has been great in almost every way. The ads are really annoying, especially since I’m from before they were a thing
An app I paid for is now useless
Paid for this app when it was a one time purchase years ago. This company fails to honour that purchase and is now asking $60 A YEAR for me to have access to the same features I ALREADY PAID FOR. Doesn’t even deserve the one star. $60 a year for this app is outrageous.
good but…
overall it’s pretty good but only thing, I only can set the rate as integer (i.e $15, $16, $20) I wanna set the rate with decimal.
Overtime, copy/paste function
Lacks the ability to amend the overtime rate, it’s set at 1.5 and 2x. I actually get 1.3 and 1.6. Also when doing an overtime shift, the option says that it applies after so many hours, it should also or instead say that it applies after a certain time. For me it’s 1.3 between 8pm and 6am, except sundays and bank holidays where it’s 1.6. Not into the copy paste function. Although I like that you CAN copy a shift, you still have to manually select each one, you can’t select from a calendar (preferably) and you can’t set a repeat pattern say mon-fri 9-5 with set breaks included. Also the free version allows you to enter 21 shifts, perhaps the paid version should instead allow access to these features instead of extra clients/shifts. This is why I won’t pay for this app
Great app
Great app easy to use , I use it for some freelance stuff I do, so I use it periodically, most recently I went to add some time to it and was prompted to purchase an app I have been using for quite a while now for free. Not too happy about that. Will be using a different app, not because this one is bad , but mainly because they sprung a purchase to it. Not sure if I can recover and export my prior entries.
