Wave size accuracy
I use both Surfline and MSW. Surfline for info and MSW for accurate wave height. MSW gets much closer to reality than Surfline even though they are the same company now.

Surfline is just nowhere near as good, and they keep badgering users to pay money for an app that's not very user-friendly…. Sad to see magic seaweed bought out and shut down by a greedy, unscrupulous developer like this…

Super helpful planning my ocean swims and surf sessions! Only bummed now that our local surf cam is no longer available on the free app.
Inaccurate
Never had a problem with Magic Seaweed, couldn’t fault them - their app layout was easy to read/use and the forecast was always accurate. Since MSW have joined Surfline, I’ve had to try look for another app - as Surfline is inaccurate. I live in a city and drove 4 hours (there and back) for no surf at all because the app was wrong. I checked 3 different beaches and each one had an incorrect forecast on the app. I had used Surfline in the past before MSW and had the same problem back then.

Surfline not as good
Msw was much better designed for those who cane to the app as swimmers. Minor change but has very destroyed the value i get from the app.

Magicseaweed was the only way to see the week’s surf, now is with Surfline whose subscription is very expensive. I’d be ok with at least having options for subscriptions, But not paying a lot for surf forecast, now is good only for the pros…
Magic seaweed is average
It is an ok pant do me I couldn’t find any better but I’m in Australia and it does not come up with Australian beaches when I search it won’t come up with what I need and u have to pay.

Fantastic app, though like everything else it's restricted to money... downvoted because it’s moved to Surfline which only gives you 5 days instead of 7
Only game in town
It’s good! Used to use “the surfers view” but they don’t exist. I might be wrong but I haven’t found an option for push notifications for certain selected locations to alert me when conditions are good enough for getting into the water. Otherwise I love the app

Ich vermisse Infos zum Spot, die früher mal drin standen (zb „Achtung vor starken Strömungen hier und da“). Wurde das der freien Version gestrichen und in die pro Version verfrachtet? Ansonsten solide App mit vielen Spots und relativ verlässlichen Angaben zu den aktuellen Bedingungen. Vorhersage ist mäßig akkurat, aber das ist ja immer so…

i think this is a great app for quickly checking the times although it is slightly annoying that only some of the beaches don’t have cameras or have to have the pro setting but that’s a minor problem

Weak Sellout
Have preferred MSW to Surfline and always use it to double check Surfline when they say it is good. Very sad/ upset about the sellout This was the only good alternative app and now they just combined to one worse app.
