Excellent!
Giant ad - Unusable
They put an ad in the middle of the entire screen that I can't dismiss (button doesn't close it). So... after many years I can't use it anymore. It's a friggen UI on top of NOAA - I wish these greedy surf app devs would realize they offer very little value. Make it free with no ads.
Easy To Use- keep it simple
I use Epic every time I surf which (which isn’t that often) BUT it’s great and it’s simple. Just reorganize your forecast chart to your liking and you are good to go. No frills.
Inaccurate
Very inaccurate, like not even close to what the surf and water temp is. The water is never 85 in San Diego. It also said 4 ft waves and it’s been 1-3 here all week. Wasted my money on this one.
Requires location data
I’m sure the app is great but it requires location data to be enabled to use. I don’t want to share this with a random developer, I just want to search for spots I know and view the forecast.

Excellent user interface, easy to use.
Couldn’t pull forecast.
Got the paid version. It shows me no data… .. If it did what it said it does .. I live in Cape Town, and it couldn’t give me any forecast information on any of the spots.
Poor reliability
I’ve been using this since MSW started charging silly money. Paid for an annual sub and it’s been ok until this weekend where I can’t get a forecast. Please fix as the app is otherwise good
good app design. never updates the surf report
the app looks great. but really only functions for tide report. wind is almost always off. water temp is accurate in only some areas (like santa teresa costa rica is good and socal is totally messed up). wave size is literally never correct for example. im at j bay SA right now and it says it’s 14ft. which is super off. the biggest sets are at around 6ft right now. also the j bay report is not specific? sidenote you have 1 report for an area that’s around a point. it would be nice to know if it’s only good at super tubes or at lower point. maybe split the area to two or 3 points and label them by the spot name? gotta keep using MSW until epic starts updating the surf forecasts and the app more frequently
Good, but don’t rely on water temp
Water temperature is off in locations near me, and it’s off by more than 20 degrees. It’s mid winter in Southern California, yet it reports the water temperature at over 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Obviously wrong

Stuck on Define your experience page
Couldn’t get past setup. Stuck on define experience page. Option to try premium for free or stay in free plan with options to enable ad tracking and google ads which doesn’t tick when you select and leaves the done button to proceed greyed out.

Widgets don’t work.
Love the UI and beautiful design of this app. But widgets don’t work, decided to sign up for trial of premium and just found out. So since widgets won’t work. I’ll be canceling.

I would give this five stars if the tide data was more accurate. Tide times are way off in South Florida.
Nice interface, lousy forecast
This app is beautiful to look at and has the potential to be really useful. Unfortunately, the forecasting is wildly inaccurate making the app useless at this point.
Needs Landscape Mode for iPad
The title says it all. The app looks beautiful on my iPad Pro however 95% of the time my iPad is in landscape mode with a keyboard attached.

Welsh Surfer
Not very impressed at all. I live in Wales where there are hundreds of great surf spots. It a single one is displayed in this app. Deleted immediately
Great app
I was trying to find an app that focuses on waves forecast and I have finally found it . Great and neat design , easy to navigate and well designed overall. The reason it’s 4/5 is that I can’t get the widget to work , can’t even find it once I try to add it from widget and I have given all sort of access and enabled all in setting.
Weather Info Has Never Updated
This app has the best UI design of any surf app. Widget is perfect. However, without accurate and up to date information it’s just useless eye candy. I’ll keep it around just in case there is an update soon. Windy is still #1.

Widget doesn’t work
Unable to add the widget to Home Screen, only Today screen. Even then, it just says “Unable to load”. Looked through Settings and looked at Go Premium and neither mentions anything about the widget. I liked the clean interface thou. Onto the next one!
Looks great - moon phase?
Great looking app and widget, would have loved to have the moon phases in here also since it already has so much data. Please consider adding this
Growing on me
Need more time to see accuracy of forecast. Would love an option to see buoy data closest to my local.
My trusted fishing companion
This has become indispensable for surf fishing. Beforehand, I can figure the best day and time to hit the beach, and figure out what tackle to bring. It makes surf fishing much less of a hit or miss experience. Also lets me know when the wave energy can be too risky for fishing.
Apple Watch?
Great app! It’s nice to see some of my favorite spots here. Most apps don’t have the spots close to me. The only thing I wish is that there was a widget for the Apple Watch also. After that, it would be 5 Stars.

This app is great, is there a way to add these data points to the Apple Watch complications? Love ad based products, this seems to be the only one not asking for an expensive subscription model, keep it this way please!
Better than Surfline?
Epic is a much more accurate app and even though it’s small when the hurricane earl swell came in Surfline was saying it was only 2-3 everywhere on Long Island but epic said it was around 5-6 and it was spot on and there has been many other times like this when it had happened
