Does exactly what it says with a single purchase and no ads.
Ads and Delay
The start up ads are ridiculous for a paid app. They play their ads every time you pause/play. Also the delay between live radio and this app is significantly longer than other free apps

Suggested improvements: (1) Add back-up alarm function (2) Add alarm fade-in
Best radio ap I have used
This app has more stations than any app I have used. I submitted 2 small station I currently run and they were submitted and added right away. Keep up the good work.
It was great
Don sheet I got the app, I made a shortcut when iPhone connected to CarPlay different things happened. Morning and evening commute, local radio station. Other times, my favourite playlist. Worked brilliantly. Recently, it stopped playing the morning commute station. Played ok from the iPhone. Now, every time I open the app in CarPlay, it takes ages to display the radio directory, then promptly crashes when I choose a station.

Was on verge of buying internet digital radio App saved me couple hundred dollars plus love its simplicity and full sound
Added Adverts
Purchased foolishly thinking this would mean the end of adverts apart from ones broadcast on station itself, sadly this is NOT the case. Adverts played upon selecting station, pausing only pauses or even restarts adverts forcing you to listen before being able to hear your chosen station. Disappointed!

Great about but bad new behavior
I really like Receiver and connecting with global radio stations. I would love to give it a 5-star rating, however, it has started changing stations by itself every 5 mins. I would like to understand how to stop this new behavior that seems to have popped up on its own. Happy to change from 3-star with some help from their support.

LOVE THIS APP!!! I can play my favorite music anytime by choosing a station that plays it, and I can hear any station anywhere in the world!!! I mostly pick stations without commercials and listen to them most of the day. Best radio APP out there!!!!
Cannot play iHeartRadio stations
Stay clear away from this app. It cannot play every single radio station as most of them are owned by iHeartRadio and cannot be played on this app. Useless if you ask me. Just use iHeartRadio or Music.

Seems to be broken on Apple Watch
I’m unable to choose or search radio stations or find my favourites list. When I use the crown the app keeps going to the volume screen which is jumbled up with overlaid text.

For a long time, I have been looking for a Radio app with no broken links and this is the only one I have found 100% works all of the time like a lot of the people that use this one I am a former OO tunes user but this is amazing. I love it. Keep up the good work.
A lot to be desired
Overall it is an okay app. Yes, you will get access to a lot of channels, but the channels also possess ads. As many as a minute worth of ads before any non-ad content (i.e. music) plays. Also some stations take a long time to load and play. I would recommend other streaming music apps before purchasing this one. I wish I could get my money back.
2 Shortcomings
Overall very nice But… 1- The Favorite option (Heart) does not work on streams you have added via url 2- Does not show the streaming codec or bitrate information that is being received.
Laggy
Takes ages to switch between different channels compared to other radio apps, if not timing out altogether
CarPlay Broken
Great app but CarPlay doesn’t work since iOS 15 update.

Hi, I have been using this app for nearly 3 years. But I generally prefer to use the watch app for convenience. I have noticed with the recent watchOS update that the favorites button is no longer featured. That was a saving grace for me to find my saved stations. Now I have to use the rewind forward buttons which takes away convenience I needed. Also I would like to suggest in future updates to incorporate a recents tab to go back to previous stations as another option for the app user. These can and need to be fixed.
Best but with a crucial flaw
This is the best radio app I’ve found but the lag in tuning and switching stations is insane. Almost enough to make me switch.

Wish it would show the bitrate somewhere, hard to know if I’m getting the local HQ streams of some stations or something different, be good to see the bitrate and format so I can setup my stations quickly

This has become my favorite app on the Internet for Internet radio!!!!!!! They really add your stations really quick, especially by the next day, which I really love a whole lot!!!!!!! Thanks to the developer for everything he does for this app. I really appreciate him a whole lot and I wish I had known about this app years ago!!!!!!! This app is a whole lot better than TuneIn radio!!!!!!!
Flaky
A warning, this app has not been maintained, and Siri shortcuts only work intermittently. It’s also not eligible for a straightforward refund request, they’ll ask you to talk to the developer that hasn’t updated in eight months. As a result, I’d have to recommend almost any other streaming radio app.
very good player but…
it’s one of better radio streamers , but with one big flaw - no split screen , you have to run it in all screen and thats bit annoying. hopefully in later updates that issue will be fixed
Online radio
Very long time for loading and start new/next radio station is irritating when listening in a car. Lack of option to keep highest bit rate of quality - 5g unlimited. Well,Some cars has high quality sound system.
Battery
This is IMHO the best radio app out there if you leave it hooked up to a charger, but if you plan to use the battery for any length of time, be prepared to recharge your phone (a lot). It really is super energy-hungry.

Disappointed- No Car play
I bought this app as it says it works with car play. Yet it doesn’t show up in car play. I feel like I’ve had £3.99 stolen from me for an app which doesn’t do what it says it does.
Receiver
This is a very good app. I would’ve given it five stars but it is very annoying how they always ask you to read the app so I am finally reading the app. Excellent band fidelity and good choice of radio stations.
Too many ads!
Beautifully designed app ruined by far too many over the air ads. Completely ruins the listening experience. I thought by paying for the app upfront I would avoid this. But unfortunately I was mistaken. I feel like I was hoodwinked.
Issue with BBC Radio
I have loved this app for many years but I am now getting frequent buffering issues particularly with BBC streams. My internet and other apps work fine. Time for an update?
Best Radio App by far.
This app is amazing. Thousands and thousands of stations. The ability to add new ones. User interface is very intuitive and works great with CarPlay.
Invasive demand to rate before used
Demands a star rating before using the app, maybe should wait a week or so and not be so demanding, there’s more to life than product reviews.

I bought this app so I can listen to the radical on my Apple TV 4. Can't deny that having the opportunity to listen to the radio (and search for stations) on the ATV4 is great. However, I am completely unable to get the podcast part of the app to locate any podcasts. According to the app, there are no podcasts, anywhere in the world. I have tried on my iPad and iPhone and both give nil returns.
Great on Apple TV and iPhone but not iPad
A radio app that works great across iOS and tvOS. Everything syncs with iCloud. Features include alarms, podcasts and weather. Reliable, tons of radio stations and a simplistic albeit dated UI. The player is based on the stock music app interface prior to iOS 10. Sure it makes the app feel dated but it works fine. All is great unless you’re using an iPad. If you’re in landscape mode you get a digital clock and no way to access to the player controls. It gets annoying having to rotate my iPad almost everytime I use the app. That and implementing the iPad’s multitasking features, slide over and split view, would be much appreciated. Overall, iPad issues aside, well worth the asking price. Having tried multiple radio apps I’ve settled with Receiver and use it daily and my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Reliable and no hats
I’d prefer this to all the alternatives; I’m not sure why they get so much more attention and our automatic through APPLE. All things considered I like radio Receiver best
App purchased, downloaded, now no internet connection message
Money spent on app purchase and all I’m getting is a ‘no internet connection’ message. I wonder how I downloaded it?! Not a promising start.
Ideal
Like that all stations are replicated to all my devices and CarPlay. Are you able to include the stations metadata to hopefully identify the songs or dj’s? That’ll make it a five star app!
Generally unstable
This app has too many shortcomings. The lack of buffering and auto-resume means you will have frequent interruptions and will have to manually reset playback. Also, this apps crashes often taking the wifi stack down with it. Finally, I opened a support incident with the developer and never got a response. Try "TuneIn Radio" instead. It works far better than this app, has buffeting, auto-resume and recording. It is also very stable.
Good but misses important features.
Really really need to be able to report failing streams and be able to add my own podcast feeds. Unless this is here but hidden some how. Also, on ATV needs to be able to show the rest of the podcast feed!! Also to fave radio and podcasts you have to hit play then fave. Why not tap the i in the list and then have it there? Got lots of stations though and seems the best for this on Apple TV. Syncing is also great, but please add the report and new podcast feeds. Thanks for the reply. I understand as you're using an API to list someone else's streams it can be awkward, but you're customer facing so to speak. Look forward to the new features and customer podcasts and what not. Keep yours the best radio player on ATV.
Probably the best radio app
For reducing phone time I was looking for a radio app which I can app operate through iPad and can listen to Indian radio stations and songs without ads. This app perfectly serves that purpose and more.
This is a con: says HomePod support but doesn't work
This app is just another internet radio app - I can't find any way to get it to automatically play using my HomePod... and there are no instructions to explain how this is possible, other than by choosing the station on your iOS device and using Airplay.
Apple Watch
Thank you for fixing the volume on the Apple Watch. It works fine now. But the play button disappears when playing (sort spoils the visual look).... Still my favourite internet radio app by a long way!!!

Good except when used in landscape
Amazingly, when the iPad is turned to landscape, all the controls disappear and a huge digital clock appears. There's no obvious way to control it except swipe up or switch to portrait. And as iPad covers and stands are designed to be mostly used in landscape, this is a bit of a dealbreaker. Personally I want a one-touch way to turn off the radio if a phone call comes in. Shame, as otherwise it is a good app, and excellent on Apple TV.
