Description

This App is a simplistic playback client for TV and Radio streams served by Enigma2 based set-top-boxes (STB) using the OpenWebIF web service running on the STB. Just enter the IP-Address and the port number of your Enigma2-based TV receiver and start watching Live-TV-Streams or Recordings stored on the STB.

This App supports use of multiple Bouquets with TV and Radio services and multiple locations with recordings on the STB.

With the upper HUD (Swipe Down during playback) you can select the audio channel and activate subtitles.

The bottom HUD (Swipe Up during playback) enables zapping through LiveTV streams. During playback of recordings you can pause or use fast forward playback, which is limited because of using an HTTP connection for streaming.

Enigma2 is a Linux based Open Source operating system widely used in receivers for satellite or cable TV. The App does not require file sharing (like SMB, FTP, NFS) enabled on the box. It only uses OpenWebIF via HTTP to read the Bouquets with your favorite TV stations and their current EPG information. Same applies for showing all the recordings you made on the STB. HTTPS for accessing OpenWebIF is not yet supported. FTP is used to backup some App data.
