Brilliant
No AFLW
Went to check out the AFLW to find the 2026 season isn’t in the app. Super disappointing. Support women’s sport!
Footy App
It would be much better as it use to be without the ads!
Can’t see certain leagues
Great app I’ve used it for years but most leagues aren’t there anymore I can’t see SANFL, WAFL OR ALFW for this year.
Falling behind
Was my goto footy app but has increasingly driven me away with the ads and failure to have finals or AFLW programs listed. Would have been happy to pay a subscription to get rid of the ads but don’t think that option exists.
Great app
Best app wish I could remove the adds
Adds
To many adds
To many betting inducements
To many betting inducements on this app, little flashing signs and most annoying of all when I change screens from Match Day to Ladder a betting app floods the screen and the only way to get rid of this pestilence is to shut the footy app and reopen it, pathetic really ! I really cannot share this app because of the betting
No aflw 26, too many ads
How hard is it to update the app to include 26 AFLW? And stop making me sit through endless ads just to find out some stats from a game.

No AFLW???
Ok
Easy to use and read
Disappointed
Would be good to add the AFLW 2926 fixture seeing as it’s started! Why advertise that it has AFLW scores and states if you don’t even add them. So disrespectful.
Where’s AFLW2026?
Love this app but I’m on a train to the first AFLW match of 2026 and the app hasn’t been updated to include the draw etc.
Too many adds
Too many adds and they go for way to long
Great app
Great app but please before you fix bugs don’t release new ones. The menu bar doesn’t respond to dark mode now.
Great App
Footy live is so good works so well tells me all the information about footy that I need to know, West coast eagles are my favourite team and it tells me everything I need to know about the team ,tells you all the stats of live and past games.
AFLW
Why is the AFLW not included anymore on this app?
Love the App, Hate the Ads
I’ve had this app on my phone for quite a few years. It’s a standout. This season, just when I want to look at match progress I get bombarded by multiple ads, usually for online slots, which have nothing to do with AFL. Please introduce an option to pay to get rid of them, or get better advertisers. I realise you have to make a living but you’ve destroyed the user experience.
Filled with ads
Yeah nah. Filled with adverts that are hard to step away from
please add afl fantasy points
my phone is to old to get afl app so i need another way to check fantasy points when i’m out, i got this app thinking it would do so, but there isn’t. pls add fantasy points, and also the ads are killing me when i’m just trying to check the scores quickly. i see no reason to use this instead of the afl app, pls remove ads or have a small fee to remove them.
Best AFL App Out There
By far the best AFL app I have ever used. The live match tracking is excellent and the ladder is compact and informative.
WAY TOOOO many distractions before I get to to view what I was looking for.
“Just the facts Mam- just the facts”
Great for following Footy
Great app for Americans to follow Aussie Rules. I wish it worked in landscape mode on my iPad, but since the iPad version has essentially been discontinued, I have to use this one.
WHAT HAPPENED??
It was such a great app easy to use, but that all changed you introduced clumsy Ads. It’s just horrible to use now And seems they’ve lost their feeds for other competitions. Ie aflw Coates … and previous years info VERY DISAPPOINTING
Ads
Stop the automatic ads interfering with reading of articles
Great app
Go Birds!
Dr Who mikent
So: we’ve turned back time and gone to 2022 Worser $ worser!!
Excellent
Just want to let you know, that out of sports apps around, you guys are the winners by far. Well done and long May you keep going. Awesome and thank you Paul 🇦🇺
Premiership ladder
The commercials drive me nuts
Changed for the worse
Used for years but now have to put up with ads. Suggest a paid version ad free and where’s the vfl drop down gone?
Fantastic footy app
Great categories, great stats during games, quick and easy to use. Expert panels and news are good features. Very fast. Love it.
No longer a good option
It’s round 2 of AFLW2026 and still not available. Ads are now hugely disruptive.
Bonza
Keeps us foreigners in touch with Australia's game. Great app, but not as good as it used to be. Too awkward to access video content and highlights of the matches.
Bye bye after a long time
I have had this app for over 10 years on my phone, but it’s time to part ways because of the stupid ads you have implemented form be wanting to switch between tabs. Well done on ruining a great app. Cya
Painful advertisement page
The app has excellent information, when it's working. The nuisance advertisement that cuts in is difficult to close down.
Simple and effective
A well implemented app which gives me a great wealth in information to keep me up to date on AFL, much more concisely and well organized than the official app.
Downfall of once a great app
I hope people reading any app reviews always select “Most Recent” because the true ratings reside there. So for Footy Live and its NRL cousin, I am so disappointed to what has become of these. Ads interfering and slow ladder updates and what’s happened to the VFL, SANFL, WAFL pages? Going to delete this app (and the NRL one as well) unless developer can convince me otherwise. Mate, you have till this season’s end
Keep up to date
This is a great way to get my footy news in the USA
Scam adverts
Be warned, scammers have infiltrated the rolling adverts in this app!! Do not click on any of them!!
Too many ads
Has the scores and stats, sure, but so many ad popups. Well, I suppose that’s what you get for free…
Had to delete and reinstall twice
Had to delete and reinstall twice before it would work after the August update. However all seems to be in order now. This is best way to stay on top of what's happening...ESP since fox soccer plus only airs select matches each week...and that's the only way I can get it on tv in the US.
Stupid ads
Went from favourite app to worst app. Way too many ads.
Where did the tipping go?
I just did the last update, and the footy tips tab has gone? That was s great addition, please get it back!
Needs a major update
This app is ok but the player profiles and stats haven’t been updated for many years Can’t see where they were drafted or or previous years stats
Was good
Was good but lately I been getting a black screen now and again. Also the scores don’t come through a quickly as the AFL app. Needs some improvements.
Great App!
Love this app! Been using it for several years to keep up with footy games & news. Best footy app out there!
Do not waste your time
This was the best footy app for a decade, now it’s a gambling slop fest with endless irrelevant full screen ads, AND they’ve binned AFLW and SANFL scores. Literally useless now.
New version 5.0 looks great
Vastly improved over last year. The news is much more comprehensive, standings seem better, several new options. Giving 4 stars for now (preseason) but hope to move it up to 5 once I see it in-season.
So love iPhone swipe up to can their ads.
Only takes a fraction of a second to swipe up on an iPhone when their full page ads appear. Then reopen and ad gone.
Good app but v frustrated can't sync calendar
I like this app but have tried countless times to sync to my calendar with no luck
