Works really well
This app updates quickly and shows me scores quickly. The only downside is that you cannot watch matches with the AFL live pass outside Aus but watchAfl is really good for that..
Rubbish for old tech that works fine.
Can no longer use as have incompatible devices.

Too slow to load both app and website. Get your act together AFL.
Text too small
Written text is too small and not adjustable making it very difficult for those of us with eye issues. Otherwise, from what I have been able to read, it seems okay.

Great footy AFL app No complaints, except little slow loading...
More bugs than past versions
Too buggy. Content is good, but too many bugs in the revamp, especially on WAFL section (e.g. Try to open article and just refreshes the home page). Also, live stream has really slowed to be practically unusable.

Fine but what about notifications?
I live in the UK and try to keep up as best I can with the scores and news. The app helps a bit but I can't get notifications set up at all without logging in to AFL Live. Which would be fine, if I could find out how to register from the app (you can't) and if I wanted to pay for a subscription (I don't get the chance to watch regularly so what's the point in paying for a subscription just to have notifications!). Real shame for people outside Aus...

Garbage. Full of bloody pop up’s and of course Ads ads ads ads ads ads ads and more ads. As if the AFL wasn’t leaching enough money from people.

Not quite sure what all the complaints are about, it's a great app with lots of uptodate content. UK user.
Still worse than 2012
This app cuts out a lot compared to the 2012 version which is frustrating and I have an excellent Internet connection. a small positive is that it does seem to be at its most consistent during games. However, it can be almost non-existent in the half hour before the game. If the AFL is going to ban streaming of the pre-game on individual sites for the half hour before games, at least do the courtesy of putting it on your app properly. In addition, the score on the left panel updates about 20 seconds before you hear it so you know what's going to happen before it does which is very frustrating...

Reads data from your clipboard for no apparent reason… hence the “pasted from iPhone” notification when you open the app

App is great, I'm in the uk and it works really well to keep to totally up to date with the AFL. Steaming radio on my phone is faultless. Only gripe to the AFL is the lack of video streaming option for international fans. Happy to pay a fee for that, but no option possible. Hopefully you'll sort that out for 2013.
Needs improvement
Overall this new version feels like a step backwards. Basic things like the news section being full of video highlights rather than news says it all really. Shame the AFL didn't bother looking at the layout of other leading sports apps such as Sky Sports Football app. Let's hope this all gets fixed in an update soon.
Broken without support
In app purchases confirmed by Apple but not respected in app. Absolutely zero support from developers .. but many similar complaints across the inter web. Should have looked first. Avoid this app

Can’t stream video
I spent $14 to be able to watch my afl live pass, I am in England currently and there was absolutely no problem purchasing it until I encountered many errors, I’m very angry and after many searches as to why this was happening it let me know I cannot stream it overseas, would’ve been nice to know that In the first place
Excellent and incredibly easy to use
Download it, a no brainer and very easy way to follow what is happening in AFL world. Everything you need, the basics, the scores, the data, the reports, videos and so on. Yes highly recommended!
Crap
Way to go AFL You want to expand the game globally, but then publish a buggy app which crashes/sticks and is otherwise slow when being used
Excellent App.
Highly recommended for clarity and information. Living in London, it gives me exactly what I need in real time. It is better on the iPad than on my desktop as the info is easier to access. Takes a little while to load, but that happens with many of the Apps/Newscasts etc. which originate in Australia.
Video never works properly
Amateur hour at Telstra. AFL video never works properly, when it isn’t buffering the quality is awful. On wifi so not a connection issue, Netflix, YouTube and every other website streams perfectly. Radio stream drops out regularly too. It really is a disgrace in 2019 they can’t get this fixed.
Good design
I cannot comment on the in app purchases, but the overall design of the app is excellent.
How!?!?
I can’t believe that in 2018 one has trouble just listening to the radio coverage on this app. Whether using WiFi or 4G it cuts out every 5 mins for about 10 secs and generally have to push pause and play again to get it to play. Poor form as it’s the only way possible on a smart phone to listen to the footy
