Horrible partners
Playing bridge with AI but AI that knows squat about bidding and playing. Opens with 5 points. Plays heart when previous player trumped it. Explores all the less suitable options until I’m stuck with 7 NT if you want to learn, or merely want a pleasant game , do NOT buy this app.
Contracts
The games are arranged so that E/W gets the MC majority of contacts. That’s not acceptable. I am deleting this program
Percentages of finesses
I love Bridge. This is Bridge game is pretty good. My big complaint is that finesses hardly ever work! In real Bridge, it work at least 50% of the time.
Bridge tournaments not for beginners
Too often the hands provided are in a word - terrible. One Jack as the only face card in the hand, for example. Perhaps more advanced players could manage, but I find the tournaments quite frustrating and discouraging.
Decent game, annoying bidding
Often computer partner does not respect settings. I set 5 card majors, program sometimes calls 4 cards anyways. Often too aggressive, bids its own 5 cards suit twice and thrice despite the fact opponents are bidding and I am passing. Annoying sounds that cannit be turned off in settings.
Wrong game with results sent
I have gotten results of games I didn’t participate in. Just now received result… I played the game 4 players but my name is not mentioned. It’s like I didn’t play!!! Don’t understand??????

Awful layout, no way to adjust display
Very sorry I impulsively purchased this app. The “cards” are huge on my phone so a long suit often breaks across two rows. Horrible to process. Suits display low to high left to right and can’t be changed, and I am used to the reverse. Once trump is set, the suits in your do not reflect this (with trump on the left), your hand just starts the same. Very clunky. And I haven’t found any bidding hints or analyses but I will keep checking. Rather than provide useful adjustments instead you can change the table pattern and the tablecloth! Ridiculous! Apparently Omar Sharif’s name has been dangled as bait to sell a rather poor bridge app. Very disappointing.
Tournament Games Statistics
I usually play 3-4 tournament games every day, and it seemed that most of them are played by the computer with N/S just having very few points and just playing defense, usually not successful. Decided to check results since March 1 for the games I played. According to my best guess concerning how many games might have had the 30 player maximum, only about 25% of the scores were positive numbers, so the hands are set up for E/W to win most of the bidding and have unusual hands when N/S bids. Players enjoy playing the hands more than generally unsuccessful defense, so it would be appreciated if the hands were more even. It would also be nice to know what the bid sheet looks like for North, because I often can not figure out why or why not a bid was made. I have not been able to figure out if North is just a really bad player or is he doing a convention I know nothing about. Even with this lack or trust and getting to the correct contacts, I still are close to 8000 points and have won my share of points, but it could be so much better. Thank you for looking into these two concerns.

The % of times you will get very low points is unreasonable. Opponents get great hands a statistically unreal # of times. The card order, no matter what you choose for your pref, winds up putting blacks and reds together, making your hand hard to read. And this is the exact same game as Bridge V+ only at a higher price

I love the app, but when I’m playing rubber sometimes the screen freezes. It won’t let me advance to another game. Any suggestions?

Frustrating!
So frustrating! A lot of times my partner will open with 9 points or less in his hand. Or as a response to my opening will take me to the next level with 3 or 4 points in his. I would not recommend this app. to anyone. 0 stars
Good play but Need better “ROI”
The program plays the game pretty well. Would be nice to know what conventions it plays, as some bids don’t make sense unless “oh, that 2 heart bid (holding a singleton 2)” must have meant “transfer to spades”... oops! Also, would be nice to have better Return On Investment — as, for example, a tournament that has a “price” of 20 points in order to win 25, which means I drop 20 points if I lose but only gain 5 if I win.
Disappointed
I used to use this app over 10 years ago. I liked it a lot. Then got Bridge Baron. Which was great but expensive. With my latest phone I went back to this and am not happy. I like to play a simple Goren style. All the convoluted conventions you use are too much. For example I want to set it to require me or my partner to have five trump to open. There are so many conventions the simple game is lost.

Will this review stop the app from constantly asking for one? Best interface of any of the bridge apps, no doubt. But, still, it bids very questionably much of the time. No way anyone could dependably learn to bid properly playing OSB. Experienced players know when the algorithm fails and can override or ignore.
Time tested
I have been playing this game by Omar Sharif for years and years. It is user-friendly. I am a much better bridge player now than I was before I started playing this game. The bidding is heart of winning and this program will help you be a better bidder.
Tournaments ?
The app is stuck in some sort of “Tournement” mode. Can’t play simple Bridge. Will delete app if it doesn’t correct itself?
Slow down
Great app but the cards shoot around too quickly. But still love the app and highly recommend to avid bridge fans.
Honors and play
Please double check your coding. I just played a hand where North had honors in hearts (J,Q,K,A) yet the program ignored this and bid clubs. Then during play, when I won with the King of Hearts in the dummy it insisted I was in my hand. Very frustrating when I am practicing to improve my game.

Great app
I really enjoy this app. Play it every day and have improved my game significantly over time. The interface is largely intuitive and easy to use. Very occasionally the computer players make bids that have me scratching my head, but that is rare. (Though I just played a hand where I bid 4NT and North responded with 5H, but had no aces!) One suggested improvement: the “Hint” button plays a card for you. Better to have it highlight the card so the player can decide for him/herself whether to play. (Also, the Tournament section requires tickets to play. The tickets are for sale, but the app constantly gives bonus tickets for free, so I’ve never had to buy tickets. Not a complaint! Just don’t understand why the bonus tickets are given. )

In the latest I phone update, the game no longer fits the screen. Letters overlap each other, and the game is too narrow and too tall for the screen.

I have been playing Omar Sharif for years. I often want to stop playing the current game and start another. The current version does not allow me to do that.
Best I’ve found
Update: Yay! Repeated requests for reviews of this app have been done away with in the latest update. Please update your app! 3/4/21 I’ve been playing with this app since it first came out. It’s the best it’s ever been in the current update. I generally play the tournaments and at times have not understood my partner’s bidding, leads or play. But I can’t specify which game or tournament. PLEASE stop asking me to review this app.

The app keeps taking away my points and reverting back to the beginners play. It stinks!

Revisited this app that I bought ages ago and found the recent updates made it work well on iPad - I would like more bidding conventions, like rkbc, but most enjoyable.

Stupid changes to this app
I have enjoyed playing this game for many years. However, I now cannot control the auto play, and what is the point of that, I want to play, not watch a machine doing it. Also the cards have now been arranged in the opposite way to the recognised system, I.e high to low. Whoever decided to alter my computer without reference to me? Scary
Dummy
The dummy doesn’t behave like a normal player.. It frequently jump bids when it should pass and passes when it should bid. I have been playing the app for many years and the dummy seem to going a little gaga..

Now playable on latest ipod touch (previous release was too slow). Game look has changed - but all the options are still there. Game play appears to have improved.
