Flight changes
Friendly, professional and efficient changing of flights for more effective use of time
Passport upload
Incredibly hard to upload my passport details, beyond fustrating and unable to do so manually into the app

Wasn’t sure where the airpoints card has gone, luckily the person at Mite10 helped
Hate the UX changes
The date picker for booking a flight is so much harder to use than it used to be, and the ease of viewing airpoints is so much harder than it used to be.

Very tight
It was a very very hard trip. I'm not that big, but I couldn't even lower my table down as there wasn't any room, as the front seat row was too close to our row. A very tough trip for two people in their mid seventies. As a New Zealand, I've always spoken so highly of Air New Zealand, but now I'm sadly questioning that.

I am gold and app does not show that I have 3 bags on domestic flights when on flexi plus -
Irritating
After recent updates this app constantly says no Internet connection when opened. One always has to close this irritating message before one can use the app.

Love flying with Air NZ . Had one disappointing trip when Air NZ was swapped to a chartered flight on my way back from Vancouver and we were not aware of it. Otherwise it’s been great being with Air NZ. How do I add a family member to my Koru membership or status ? Thanks Shashi
All form, poor function
This app continues to get slower, more plodding and less responsive.
Meal options fail
I flew from Bris to Auckland on 25 Nov and returned to Bris on 9 Dec. for both flights I requested a gluten free meal for my wife, who is a coeliac. On both flights AirNZ failed to provide. This was not merely disappointing, it was also medically risky, as my wife is also a type 1 diabetic and also has blood pressure issues. Please look into this and resolve. Thank you.
Boarding pass won’t work
The app is still working OK, however the boarding pass won’t open in the app, which makes the whole app redundant.
Slow and inconsistent
Doing anything other than booking flights is counter intuitive. Want to book parking? Click on that and go around in circles. It’s be great to simply click on ‘parking’ and it pulls through details instead of manually logging in. Having to remember flight details and times is difficult for me.
A Big Compliment
Air NZ has been my go-to airline for my whole life. Their focus on customer service care has never waived, despite the many challenges that they have faced. It is easy for some to be critical when times get difficult and the past few years have probably been the most difficult since the Erebus Disaster. Well done to the whole Team, from the Board, CEO, management and staff for their commitment to ensuring that despite the financial challenges, they remain committed to being the best, but at the same time, achieving profitability despite fuel costs and engine difficulties, both beyond your control.

Good Airline Product
Although our NZ142 Brisbane to Auckland was delayed today December 4, 2025, by a late arrival of our plane last night and the required crew rest time we had good communications from the airline and I heard no moans from any other customer . The A320NEO product is very good and the overall service provided was great. My only brickbat is that the purser had rudimentary command of the English language and struggled with NZ place names, and very embarrassingly provided poor updates to the passengers regarding connections. Sad.

I love how user friendly the app is, you can always see and manage your flights from one place, change seats, get updates on check-ins, bag-drops and departure times. Points update quickly after a flight is taken and if for some reason points don’t show you can claim the points though a very easy process, providing information available on the app for the booking you want to claim for!

Poor experience renewing membership and booking flights for the world once out of NZ.
Confused
I find the app easy to use once your booking has been made thank you. However, I travel to the UK on a racy or do dry disappointAir NZ booking and collecting the co partner airline air miles/point update impossible to do which is very disappointing.
Slow with glitches
App can be slow to load and will often glitch when you click manage booking

The app doesn’t allow you to understand how status points change dramatically on a daily basis
Slow to update
The app overall has changed so many times within the last 10-15yrs but lately when you make a change it takes ages to update properly. Makes it frustrating when boarding the flight.

Great to be able to check details quickly, any updates & add info yo calendar. Plus love the reminders!
Connection Problem with App
every time i open the app it is frozen and i get a message saying there is no internet connection even though i have mobile and wifi connection. fix your app!
Good App
Easy to use & very clear. Nobody is perfect hence the 4 stars.
Slow to update
This app is very handy. But is very slow to update and notify. For example, often I have boarded before it advises we are boarding and when a flight is changed it does not update leaving you unsure if the change has been successful.

Name spelled wrong
Air NZ has spelled my surname wrong and won’t correct it. They also force customers to use a gender honorific.
Update works under iOS 18
App now works under iOS 18, but I did have to delete it and reinstall from the App Store.
Too slow
The app has good from amazing a couple of years ago to a real dog. It falls over often and struggles with basic transactions. Sort it out please

Always on time and if delay always provide vouchers. Smiling and very friendly

Flight notification
My flight to auckland was cancelled but the notification on my Home Screen said it was on time. Even after the flight was suppose to leave. Assuming some setting on my own phone needs to be changed but not clear
Almost perfect
Love the coffee order alert when you visit the Koru lounge, the boarding passes, and Airpoints screen. I wish I could add my Airpoints card to Wallet though like I can with Air France | KLM would make things much easier.
Seat selection
The previous version when we could select the seat straight away was better.
Needs work
Check in failed, necessitating an early trip to airport. Various boilerplate pieces of info are missing or inappropriate - wasting time. The backup is to phone or visit the website in a browser, both of which are inconsistent and misleading. Sign in to the app is also error prone. Failed to recognize my valid points number - which is quoted inside the app! Looks nice though.
Great and easy
The Air Nz app is a versatile, flexible and an ease to use. All I need to do from booking a flight a taxi and extra baggage is at my fingertips

This is a great app, you can really manage your flight and all elements around your flight direct from the app, change flights, well worth using if you fly with Air New Zealand. Really hope they do an iPad app soon..

New app is clunky, slow and has lost a lot of the relational database features. My Airpoints number is dropping off, frequently. My passport info is always lost. Really need a major improvement. Has seriously been a step backwards.

Cannot see multi city flight bookings on app. (Or on website.) No way to monitor upcoming flights without phoning Air NZ.
