Great with a few niggles
The best full featured pixel editor for mobile that’s allowed me to be productive and create assets literally anywhere. It’s got a fantastic amount of functionality. It’s not without some niggles though. Some functions/options seemingly have no explanation and finding help isnt intuitive. And the amount of times i’ve accidentally tapped and hidden all my layers only to have to spend 5 minutes enabling them one by one again in complex artworks back to how it was, has been enough to make me cry. I also don’t like the fact it shoved a massive splash screen in my face asking me to share on social media over and over again at random … i paid money for the app, this isn’t ok. So it could do with some tightening up for smaller screens, and an absolute UNDO. I also would love to know what option makes layer FX sometimes be totally ignored when adding them to a group —or sometimes not. I would recommend it though.
Many issues despite best in market
Backup is wildly inconsistent, data loss is imminent the moment the app enters the background. No recycle bin or recently deleted temp folder; if you accidentally select something you don’t want to delete there is no good way to catch that due to UI design. The app’s design and functionality compels me to treat it like it’s “broken” and to assume all of my projects could be randomly deleted at any moment, due to the app’s instability and poor backup system. Also, tiled mode was broken in the last update. It does not work anymore. That’s integral for pixel art. Despite all of these issues, there is no better alternative for iOS or iPadOS, thus giving my 2nd star.

Limited downloads
It is good for pixel art, but you are limited to 3 exports, so you gotta screenshot it instead which is pain.

The trial mode download limit is way to small put it at like, 100? Otherwise it’s pretty good.
Good, But Just One Thing…
It’s a great app! I love making pixel art on it. But, sometimes when I close the app it deletes my files / sprites and I have to start from Scratch.

It’s like procreate and ibis paint x had a baby. I like the customization options. I wish there was a more in-depth tutorial lol that’s it.
Paid features
The app interface and usability is great, I made many pieces with it. Only after did I realize you need premium to export them. So if you plan on saving your art I would not recommend this app.
awesome but frustrating…
so, i’ve used this for a while and it’s sick! amazing for animating..but the bad thing is after a while you have to reinstall it due to these bugs where you can’t fill in something with the bucket or the move tool doesn’t work, and the layer tool bugging. and also the line, elipse, and rectangle and contour tools becoming invisible. please fix this. if these bugs weren’t here, it’d be 5 stars!! good app!!!

I need iOS 1.16 to use this but this iPad is very old and i cant use it...
Absolutely wonderful
This app is wonderful for people beginning to do pixel art. It’s easy to navigate, easy to use, and is free to download. The only downside is that to unlock the full potential of everything in the app you need to buy premium, but overall, this app is a must have for people starting pixel art.
Can I get a manual!?
I have no idea how to animate on this app and no matter how hard I look I can't find actual instructions.
Has merit, but not very intuitive
I’ve tried dozens of different raster art and pixel programs, but lot of things are hard for me to figure out in this app. You have to go into the app settings to turn on pressure sensitivity. It’s a gamble whether or not the brush size slider will eventually work. There doesn’t seem to be an option to change the brush opacity, or at least one I could find. It’s a little annoying that canvas rotation isn’t the default, but I found it in the settings eventually. Canvas flipping appears to be locked from the free trial, which I found an odd choice but not a big deal. The layer settings were really hard for me to intuit, I double checked the app settings and long clicked the layers several times before realizing you’re supposed to double tap them. Pen pressure works well but I wish it had more settings to properly control it. The themes are very cute, my favorite is the frog one. I wish you could detach the layers docker and move it around. And the app doesn’t seem to have built in palm rejection. Still, you can manage to make pixel art in it. There’s just some frustration involved.

Locked layers- please fix
This is a good app, but you have no idea how frustrating it is that it lets you grab locked layers and then gives you an error code instead of totally disabling the layer like most apps do. I’m trying to grab my target layer, not the locked one… I locked for a reason.

amazing, but unusable without paying
i dont know why it doesnt just simply cost money. it misleads you into downloading it, making stuff, then realizing you cant export and your work is unsaveable. then makes you pay to save it. this is actuallly so frustrating because if the app just costed moneybto download it would be perfect
Easily the best pixel art tool
It’s just really refreshing to see a pixel art suite done right- easily customizable interface, easy exports, everything ya need and then some. Regular updates, and a classy UI to boot. Exactly what I needed for sprite design!

Great way to do Pixel Art on iPad
I’m new to pixel art, so I bought this 2 months ago. Since then they released two big feature updates - may. Using this app with Apple Pencil to me is easier and more fun than Aseprite. I am sure there is a power feature missing here or there. But if you’re looking for something for your iPad to do pixel art, this is the one.
TUTORIAL
I deleted this app because I couldn’t even make a single thing. I wanted to make some sonic sprite animations but I can’t do ANYTHING. PLEASE MAKE A TUTORIAL (I don’t know how to do anything, like make the pixels bigger)
Decent But Overpriced
Reasonably decent app for pixel art on the go, but it’s 5x the price of Aseprite on PC, which is far more feature rich. The offer of a monthly payment instead of the ridiculously high “lifetime” price is just offensive.
It’s a drawing app!
This app is awesome for pixel art! I learned to animate on it and it works great! It has all the tools you could want, and if you’re not using it for business or exporting things it’s free! It costs a little money but it’s definitely worth it.

Exporting behind a paywall is insane
Don’t get me wrong, the app is good (if you get used to it), but making the export function behind a paywall is crazy. It’s not too expensive though, with one dollar per month, so at least I can get behind that. In terms of what if gives you for free, it’s good. I know the devs have to eat, but please make exporting a free function at least…

Perfect studio, but a minor bug.
I believe this is the go to studio for anything 'pixel art' that people need. My only complaint (and I don't know if this is exclusive to trackpad or not) is occasionally, the color defaults to transparent. I don't understand how or why this happens, but I know it only happens while I'm using the pencil tool. Other than that, it is a very great app, and I look forward to using it, as it has made a good first impression.

A pretty good pixel art program but one problem
Its overall a really good pixel art/pixel art animation app for mobile! But one thing, exporting your drawings/animations should not be behind a paywall and that’s one thing I do not like about it
How do I change the brush size
This is a very good game 10/10 but I I don’t know where you go to change the brush size

Full of features, but sometimes unintuitive UI
I’ve really just picked this app up recently, to finesses some character animation for a game. It seems to have most of what I need, particularly good animation control and multiple layers. Currently finding my way around it. I find myself frequently googling for instructions, though, because many basic operations are counterintuitive. For example, I could not initially work out how to add a new animation frame; the pallet-editing controls are not easy either. On the one hand, I’m sure I’ll learn my way around it; on the other hand, it could probably be a little easier for newcomers. The proof is in the pudding though. Excited to see how I get on with actually using it.

Pretty good, but lacking some essential features
Love the idea and how some things are executed, but as it is now the app is very frustrating to use. - Almost nothing is labeled or explained. I don’t know what half the buttons do and there are several features which I can’t figure out if they even exist in the app. - Simple tasks (like copy and paste) are hidden behind several layers of menus. - The selection tool doesn’t work: being still for a moment causes it to grab anything underneath it. Also selecting another tool should deselect your selection. - Unbelievably difficult to paste images from other programs. Can’t paste an image as a new canvas, only as a sprite sheet - The layer system is impossibly annoying to use. Creating, naming, and doing anything else with layers is very difficult and annoying to do. Is also missing some crucial features like locking a layer. - Way more things need their own buttons or gesture controls, instead of having to hold down for several seconds and then navigate a confusing menu Overall this app could learn a lot from the ProCreate drawing app in making a smooth/fluent drawing experience. You can do pretty much any essential thing you’d want to without opening a single menu or making any unintended mistakes when navigating the UI But it does have some nice pixel art features that most other drawing apps (like ProCreate) lack, like outlining, cornerless pixel brush. With these and some other changes this app would easily be 5 starts (:
