Great App, But Missing iOS to Android Sharing
Great app, but one frustrating limitation This app is very minimalistic, smooth, and easy to use. However, it’s really frustrating that I can send files from Android to iOS, but I can’t send files from iOS to Android. This issue has been around for quite a while, and I really hope you can fix it. If you add iOS to Android file sharing, I’ll gladly give this app 5 stars!
跟新到1.18后不显示设备
原本挺好用的，但上周localland从1.17更新到1.18，废了一半即“附近的设备”不显示设备了(手动添加也无效，甚至添加完直接显示错误)，大概情况就是：1.7版时打开软件直接显示同WiFi的所有设备，升级到1.18后，似乎抛弃了安卓手机端(只能通过扫码等啰嗦方式使用)，M芯片mac不显示Inter芯片Mac上的localsend(iPad air4也是，但倒是能被M和inter设备都搜到）
Stop emailing yourself!
For years I’ve been emailing myself photos, documents, etc. I knew Airdrop and Dropbox were a thing, but this app makes life 1000% easier than all of them without an account or subscription!! I am definitely going to donate to them! Just beware, you might need to allow LocalSend on your Windows firewall settings, so do a little research on how to do that and you’re set!

Agonizing user experience
Honestly this is what I’m looking for for a file transfer software but the problem I’m having with at the moment is selecting mass amounts of media, scrolling though media is hard as it sometimes thinks you are selecting, selecting mass amounts of media is hard as it stops automatically scrolling when selecting and when I press accept when I have 999 media selected it doesn’t even get added in to the queue.
Great when it works but frustrating as hell when it doesn’t.
When it works, it is the best tool for transferring files locally. When it doesn’t work however… you can try resetting devices, messing with firewalls, sharing via a link, restarting servers, turning off VPNs, turning off cellular, slamming your head into the keyboard, exhaust all troubleshooting options and it STILL won’t work.
Great App
I'm using this app more than a year, Its a great open-source app by a very responsible developer. He could make it like other apps that you need to signup with your personal information, pay or display ads and many other ways to make money out of it but he kept it completely clean, free and opensource. Thank you

Didn’t really work
Worked once on the same home WiFi between a windows mac and iphone. Can’t find each other after that. We got AI before a reliable wireless text.

Great when it’s updated
Currently on version 1.17 on laptop, not working with version 1.18.1 on iOS/iPadOS. Haven’t posted 1.18 exe installer on their website yet. Could have rolled back update to make it work again but chose not too. Worked wonderfully until this update snafu.
Feature suggestion
Great and very useful app. However, one important feature that is currently missing is a scrollbar for easier navigation through large numbers of files, including photos and videos. Adding a “Select All” option would also make transferring all files in a folder much faster and more convenient. In addition, the ability to sort files from oldest to newest or newest to oldest would significantly improve the user experience. Hopefully, the next update will include these three features: a scrollbar, file sorting options, and a Select All button for files and images. Thank you for this excellent app.

Worked perfectly
Sent a music file from a Linux os to my iPhone. Download was quick, file works perfectly. Now I have a playlist independent of ads and reception. The app is great!
Luck Based
I tried so hard to like this app, but it seems it simply relies on luck whether it will work for you. Fantastic if you’re one of the lucky ones, but for the rest of us… not so much. No amount of using the same internet, directly entering the IP, or any other fix would make this work. Just… disappointed

Great app but missing „select all” feature

It worked great before with all the files and images sent fast but now only camera images pass and the screenshots get corrupted on the receiving device. I use it to transfer images from iPhone to Samsung

Love the app- But bug found
Love this app! It works great across all my devices. But on iOS, there’s a small issue—sometimes file residue is left behind even after I move everything. This takes up storage space, and the only way to clear it is by deleting the app. It would be really helpful if you could add a “Clear Storage” option.
Bad for big files
Probably fine for small files, big files are a nightmare because this app doesn’t work in the background at all.

File auto delete after receiving unsupported files
I am using this app from last few days on my Pixel,Ipad,Mac but when I am sending some video,files it auto delete & showing error unsupported format please fix it as soon as possible

Пробовал с включённым и выключенным VPN. Перепробовал все настройки в приложении, но в итоге ни по IP, ни по другим каналам связи телефоны и компьютер друг друга не видят
It’s great. Really
I’ve been struggling to get my video exports for content from my pc into my phone. This solved it instantly. Google AI told me about it. I did some digging. And it really might be the best way to transfer videos. Takes like 2 minutes for a 3.5gb video to drop into my phone. It’s all anonymous and offline. It’s amazing. Thank you Tiem. You’re like Batman or something. Only cooler.

The app data size goes on increasing as its caching sent files and we cannot delete them = app size goes increasing into multiple GB. This has already been mentioned on your GitHub repo.

I tried to send files from Android to iphone which were connected to the same network but it didn’t work.
Flawless when it decides to work
This is open source and free, all developed by one person, and I take that into consideration when writing this. Although the app detects my desktop almost perfectly every single time, it has the opposite effect when trying to discover my laptop. I have tried all troubleshooting solutions, but the problem still persists, which is a shame since it’s fantastic other than this one issue. Hopefully, something can be resolved soon, maybe using Bluetooth to send files instead of wifi as an option.
Transfer speed
Everything is good but the file fransfer speed is very slow and bad minimum 1 GB file want wait till 15 minutes to 20 minutes ☹️😞

I have tried so many apps that are supposed to allow me to put my android phone’s photos onto my iPad. Some work a bit and then stop or demand money. Most don’t work at all. Just downloaded this one and it worked immediately, quickly, and easily. I’m super happy to have finally found one that does what it says it will. Thank you!

ive been using localsend for around 4 months now (as of 8-26-24) and its the best replica of airdrop i could find. cross platform compatibility, sending modes (sharing via link is awesome) and history far surpass what airdrop is capable of currently. obviously like anything given praise, it comes with deficits (albeit minor). no persistence in the background makes convenience a huge anchor to shy away from using localsend, though i do understand why because of apples strict limitations. besides that, i definitely recommend it.
Samsung s25+ receiving issue
I cannot send files from my iphone 12 to s25+. It’s name doesn’t even show up.
