Classic fun :)
Grew up with these games. The art style took a lil bit getting mused to but every game has its own art style and I ended up enjoying the game from start to finish. Definitely feels like it could of used more a climatic duel of some kind with the boss man, like usual, but it didn't stop for playing the game for a second time :) good stuff!
Problem
It is impossible to enter the forest even with a map. Please fix this issue

Great mobile adaptation
This was my first time playing Monkey Island on a mobile app. The experience was seamless, and I didn’t experience any glitches during the run through. The game itself was well paced and the hint book was a nice fall back option. It was fun to interact with both old and new characters. Thank you to the developers for making a nostalgic game!
Game is prompting me to purchase again
I can no longer play the game I purchased, as when I try to move screens I’m prompted to buy it again. Apple Support did not respond to my request for help.

Character driven but …
The characters are really annoying.

One of the best
For mobile games, this is probably the funnest one I’ve ever played. The attention to detail, the graphics, the dialogues, the background music, all done really well. It’s surprisingly challenging and extremely addicting to play. I wish they had more levels or made another game so I can keep on playing.

Unfortunate nostalgia
I was eager to relive the memories of playing this game and was excited to continue with my quest to discover the secret of Monkey Island, however after paying £9.99, like the other users, I thought this issue had been fixed however it’s not recognised that I have paid so I cannot continue. This app is essentially a scam and I would not recommend it as you’ll be disappointed. How do I go about getting refund??
So. Much. Dialog.
I only made it 10 minutes before deleting the game because I don’t have the patience to sit through that much dialogue. Even skipping the dialogue took forever and requires multiple swipes. The graphics were amazing, so if you like games with heavy dialogue, you may enjoy this. I just can’t do it.

L’aventure est toujours aussi cool à suivre. Même si je comprend la morale de l’histoire de fin j’ai été un peu déçu, je pensais pas que ça allait ce finir d’un coup..

Is the iPad App not allowing the game to be played in clear HD? Seems like the picture resolution is off? I’ve played my games on my iPad Pro and this is the first that looks a bit, well off!
So much fun!
I had so much fun playing this! I’m part of the old school point and click games played as a kid like the original Monkey Island games, Indiana Jones, even played original Leisure Suit Larry games as soon as they came out. I miss those so much so it was great to see the style is still going! Great graphics, music, story and narration keeping it quirky and fun to play.
Ending
The game was awesome better than the 1st game! But the ending is horrible, all the hrs of gameplay and all ended up being a waste of time. Was all just a story and never get to unlock the treasure.
Paid initially for game, and disappointed to be asked to pay again.. Corrected, updated review.
Although I was initially disappointed that the game was updated to a “free to play” mode, with an option to pay extra to get a full update, and there was no provision for former owners, the developer was kind enough to provide an unlock code after writing them and informing them of the situation. I am updating my former one star review to four stars, and happy that the developer took this step. I would have preferred, though, that the full version would be provided automatically to former owners. Possibly this will happen with a future update. The game itself is a true gem, and brings back fond memories of how adventure games should be made.

No sound/dialogue at all
Demo mode even if you have paid
I brought this game back in august last year. I went to play it for the first time during long flight yesterday and it stopped after an hour. After getting home and getting Wi-Fi it seemed to be in demo mode?! Wanting me to buy it again. I delete the app and re-download it, losing my save game too! Still wants be to buy it again! The only way to actually own a game so it works without issue these days is to pirate it! Guybrush would do that!

Restore option?
Edit2: Three months later and still no fix for the restore option. Meanwhile it now shows up in Apple Arcade for subscribers to play while purchased owners get nothing if they need to restore it on a new device. Perfect way to do business and keep paying customers engaged. Edit: One month later, where is the fix for the restore of past purchases? Is it too late to ask for a refund? Where is the restore option for those of us that purchased the game before it became free to try? Still waiting….

Purchase AGAIN?
The game itself is brilliant. Always loved monkey island. Unfortunately though.. I purchased this game when it was first released on mobile and completed it. After completing it I deleted the game. Going back on today after seeing an update.. I’m greeted with a demo or PURCHASE AGAIN. I’ve already purchased it and now being asked to buy again.. AND at a higher price than I originally paid for it. Why is this?
Promising re-visit
In the scenes with all the kids, it was at first worrisome for older fans that they MI they remember is a kid game now, but then you’re Guybrush again and it all satisfies. I am at the part having the map to the mop and a hint refers to place that I can’t find; I wish it were clearer whether this is the point at which you have to buy the game before proceeding or if I missed something, it would be nice of the devs to make it clearer.

Try-before-you buy! FASLE INFORMATION That is what they claim. The company is disgraceful but even worse Apple is too ignorant to stop the abuse & lies. They will promote it as Try-before-you-buy but Apple appears to be more concerned about doubling profits if you buy it again. This company has refused to offer a restore option and that is an intentional act of deceiving the customer. The product is Try it, pay to use it once! That makes it rent the app not buy it.

1.01 update nerfed my purchase
Since the update the game has become convinced that I have not purchased it… it’s currently unplayable.
Finished in 3 days
I love the Monkey Island games and this was the first one I played on my phone since playing Escape from Monkey Island on the computer 15 years ago. The artwork, graphics, storyline, and dialogue were very good. The puzzles were a lot easier than I remember on the original computer game. I sadly finished it within 3 days and the ending was a bit disappointing. Overall, a fantastic and creative game. Please make it longer and more challenging!

I get to the point where I have to pay and I am getting promoted for the Apple primary account holders. oTP I get the opt, but because the game is stuck in landscape, Apple otp entry is not working

Quel plaisir de retrouver Guybrush et Lechuck, mais une étoile en moins car il est hallucinant qu’en 2023 des développeurs ne proposent pas de sauvegarde dans le cloud pour une app multiplateforme, impossible de continuer sur mon iPhone ma partie commencer sur mon iPad 😓
New version removed my purchase?
I had purchased the game months ago but now when I start a New Game it prompts me to buy it????
Decent
Maybe it’s because I’ve never played the previous games but I found the ending to be abrupt and incredibly unsatisfying as a heads up. Up until that point the game was enjoyable, the puzzles made sense and the hint book was appreciated when needed. Aside from the ending my only other issues is the two finger swipe to skip dialogue sometimes didn’t work and would take multiple tries until it did.
Great adaptation for iOS
Point-and-click adventures have always been a bit hit-or-miss on console/mobile depending on how much effort the devs put into changing up the controls, so I was a little worried about how this would play on iPad. Very pleasantly surprised as to the result, and I kind of hope that other point-and-click games in the future take note. Everything is very smooth and streamlined, and I didn't come across any of the technical issues noted in older comments, so hopefully those have been fixed. Story-wise, it's classic Monkey Island, with familiar music and top-notch voice-acting. Blasts from the past don't always live up to your memories, but this one did, at least for me.
Game Ending is rushed
Game starts off strong, but then you notice the game is recycling areas throughout the game, and without spoiling anything the ending is utter dissapointment. One moment you’re about to see the climax of the story, the next…well youre let down in the most laziest way possible. Such a shame, I grew up with Guybrush.

Soooo much dialogue
There should be a lite version of this game. There is so much dialogue that you can’t skip through and because of this the game is very slow paced. If I had known, I wouldn’t have spent $10 on this game.
Replayability issue since the latest update
Really enjoyed the game but there seems to be some glitch with the game since the latest update. I’ve already purchased the game but when trying to play through it again for a second time I keep being presented with an option to buy the game again on the App Store and can’t progress the replay beyond a certain point. Obviously I do not want to have to buy the game a second time just to do another play through! Hopefully the developers can see this and fix the issue with the next update as couldn’t see how to contact them through the link provided on the App Store.
Wonderful and Nostalgic
I played on hard mode and it was wonderful. Everything you love about Monkey Island with some fresh twists. Familiar locations and characters along with some new ones. Lots of fun references to earlier inventory items, challenges, and storyline. It will definitely be a better experience for folks that have played the original games. People complaining about the ending don’t get the reference. It’s actually genius. The graphics and audio are great and the puzzles are the right level of challenging. I never pay this much for apps but, well, it’s Monkey Island!

Enjoyable overall
A solid edition to the series but would rank it 4th in the over all collection. Puzzles even are hard mode are surprising easy, but I guess you kind of know the format after playing all the other so many times. I’m very glad it was made, very happy to pay and support the developers for a life time of great work. I hope it inspires a new wave of growth for adventure games.
Eyepatch
This game is ok.. However after getting and enchanting the eyepatch the game refuses to allow me to equip it.. Super frustrating, and i cannot proceed in the game until I'm able to put the eyepatch on.. Please fix this!
Love the nostalgia but controls are defective
None of the controls that require two fingers work, so I have to listen to painfully long dialog. Woe to me if I accidentally select a scene I’ve already cleared. If these were corrected, this would be a 5 star game.
