Amazing
I love doing puzzle games like these, from the story line to the mechanics every thing was perfect. This is one of the few games where the ending cut scenes got me on edge wondering how she’ll get back home. Really hope that there will be a second game💯
Too easy
As someone in their twenties, it could just be me, but if the game becomes entertainingly difficult, I’ll come back and change my review. Beyond that, I wish the creators had put more time into the dialogue (or used text) for the no-outcome actions. Get used to hearing “I have no reason to scan/do that”.
Nettes unterhaltsames Spiel
Das Spiel macht Spaß, wenn man auf klassische Adventures und kleine Logik-Rätsel steht. Das Setting auf dem fremden Planeten fand ich spannend. Dass man ein Kapitel probespielen kann bevor man kauft finde ich großartig - gerne immer so. Ob 7,- Euro gerechtfertigt sind für ein Handy-Game, das man in ca. 3 bis max. 4 Stunden durchspielt und das keinen wirklichen Nochmal-Spielen-Wert bietet -- muss jeder selber wissen; die Entwickler sollen natürlich was verdienen, aber der Preis ist m.W. vergleichsweise hoch. Ansonsten alles top.

nice retro game with bugs
Fun to play this retro game. But there are two problems so far. First, the inventory - if I have too much items, they just disappear. Looked at a video, there the inventory has a scroll bar. Not in my game, unfortunatrly, so I have to start over and have to be careful when I pick up items. This also leads to additional uneccessary travels back and forth. Second, the tree puzzle. Because I had to do some steps again after problem 1, suddebly the first puzzle to open the trap door of the tree house doesn‘t work anymore. The 2nd to open the cabinet always works but closes the panel so I can‘t get up. Sometimes it opens again, but normally it doesn‘t so I can‘t get up and can‘t continue. So, I am stuck and have to redo things over and over if I forget about the inventory. No fun, sadly.

Dreary colors
It’s just depressing looking couldn’t even get past the first scene. So dark and grey
Beautiful and interesting story/setting but
But the loading screens in the 3 islands and the church area are SO ANNOYING (get stuck on a puzzle and spend 4 mins switching between islands then realizing you hit the lever but didn’t change the island so you gotta sit through it again.) it was at least nice pixel art loading screens but still got dull after the first 7 or so times. Otherwise absolutely beautiful.
Stylish, little substance
Stylish animation scenes. Very basic and simple gameplay. If you've ever played a point and click, you'll likely find this very easy
Glitch
Every time you get to act four, what happens is I try to get back to the lower level seven, but it doesn’t work. I even tried resetting the game and it still didn’t work. Hopefully, you could fix this bug.
New shadow?
This game is amazing but I must admit I had some difficulty with some puzzles like the last one in the 5th act where I had to watch a YouTube tutorial since it made no sense. I understand the need for some difficulty towards the end of the game but the book was kind of useless in the puzzle I mentioned, and for opening a door by using a panel which had some switches in the fifth act. Other than that it’s amazing in many ways that I can’t describe. It’s also very obvious that the ending was a cliffhanger but I really want to know if A New Shadow is a sequel to this game thats coming out. If it’s not, or I mixed it up with something else I’m terribly sorry but I’m still curious, as I would love to see a sequel to this game . Pls respond as to why u didn’t give a hint to solve the last two puzzles that a mentioned.

Not too strenuous
Most adventure games I’m totally lost but this one I was able to mostly get through without spoilers. Needed a few. The story was a bit low calorie but the excellent art made up for it.

Let me start off by saying that I understand the time, effort, and skill it takes to put together and release a game. I get it. I hate criticizing because I def cannot do this. However, as a player, I can never understand why game creators create games that lack in logic and order. Be ready to click randomly on the screen because there’s no story that has a progression. I don’t know how this game has a 4+ star rating. Something is up. It’s a game for the mindless. Randomly click on the screen until something happens, and then, you go back to random clicking. I’d rather pay for a game than get these “free trials” waste of time. Who likes this? This game seems unfinished. There’s no direction, no coherent sequence. Oh, and the items you collect…. What are they? You don’t even know because they look like nothing recognizable in your inventory. Two stars for the effort but zero for creativity and strategic story writing. It’s sad when developers don’t see the game from the player’s perspective. And Unity has awesome games. Why they chose to associate w this one? 🙄
Took my money
I played in intro and fell in love with the game right away. I paid the 6 bucks to unlock the full game but I’m still locked in the play for free section. I uninstalled the app and redownloaded, and tried to restore purchases from prompt in game but nothing happens
Excellent puzzle game
Absolutely great time playing this game, the puzzles and the hints in the diary/book were challenging enough to stimulate me into getting on track and the artistry was excellent for a retro style game, if anything the movement controls had a few hiccups but the story, the puzzles, and the character were everything I like in a puzzle game of this sort, thank you for making it, look forward to the sequel.
Game doesn't work
Tried the free game and couldn't get past where you're supposed to insert the geometrical block. Deleted.

Great Environments….But Not Much Else
The game opens with a strong set of visuals and story premise. The tutorial feels well integrated, but I was left wondering what this astronaut’s deal was. We don’t know where she was going or why. We have an objective-escape the planet- but I find it unusual that the astronaut’s first goal isn’t to get in touch with someone else about her crash- does she have no oversight? That would be fine for a solo explorer, except for a small tidbit of info dropped at the very end of the game. It feels like things just don’t add up. The environments are very well realized for this type of adventure game, and very thoughtful in their functionality for mobile. I do wish the various creatures were better realized; at first, I felt like they must “actually” look like that on this strange planet. However, another reveal later in the game defies this idea and highlights that these silhouetted creatures definitely aren’t well thought out in terms of design. The puzzles were reasonable; for better or worse, the days of sitting stuck on a tough puzzler for weeks to months without a walkthrough or guide are gone. Mobile does tend to make puzzling a little less robust- the types of puzzles begin to feel a bit repetitive by the end of the game. That said, they did feel well integrated into the world that was crafted. However, the character lines around the puzzles really cheapens the experience. I don’t want to feel like I’m being led around by the nose or that I’m listening to a kid’s TV show. Several times I wondered if this game was directed at kindergarteners because of the tone the astronaut was using. Still, I appreciate that the character is voice acted at all- full V.O.’s can be somewhat rare in the genre. Our astronaut is also very curious about the planet, but is adamant that she’s getting out of there ASAP. Isn’t she an explorer? well, here’s a chance to explore! More than once we also end up relying on her gut feelings, adding to how contrived the short story line feels. The reveal in Act 5 is pretty cool; I didn’t know what to expect about the fate of the planet, but it wasn’t that. Unfortunately, the end of the game really leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently this game connects to something else the developer has done, but it wasn’t clear that you needed that knowledge ahead of time to make the ending feel exciting. It’s also possible that this game will get a sequel, but if it doesn’t, there are so many unanswered questions created by the ending that it feels incredibly unsatisfying. I did not expect to end this game feeling very sad about the outcome for the astronaut and other environments/creatures/etc, but that’s where I’m at. Final thing: the musical sting used in cut scenes is really great! But it gets old fast. A little more variety would have been nice. Overall okay. I’d add a half star if I could just to support the work that went into all the art, but I just think the story isn’t tight enough to support the experience this game needed to really make a splash.

The voice acting 💀
Just stated the game, visuals look great, but the voice acting is killing the enjoyment. I feel sad to have to mute it as I feel like I’m going to miss out on a lot of the other sounds the game has to offer, but I know I won’t be able to hear past the delivery of the lines. Never heard someone sound so unbothered/cheerful about crash landing on an alien planet 🥴 might be worth updating to offer the option of muting the voice acting?
It’s not good at all
The game was just too complicated. It was just the voice acting sucked. The story was bad. The puzzles were way too complicated and bad. It just felt like a horrible game that didn’t have any passion. It is not worth five dollars. I do not wish anybody play this game and I do not wish that you spend your five dollars on this load of trash.
Some of the worst aspects of “retro”
The story is good, and the puzzles integrate well. But a symptom of some of the older games that this one imitates is that to add complexity you have to memorize (or take notes on) lengthy arbitrary sequences of symbols or actions to proceed. It’s not enough tho figure out “oh, I have to follow the left-right sequence shown on the arch to navigate the path.” You need to remember all 14 or so steps of it. This unnecessary frustration occurs in several places.
Beautiful Game, Worth it
For those of you who grew up loving the Nancy drew games will love this. This game is the classic puzzle solving point and click and I LOVE IT. Not only is it super creative but the main character is a woman of color which makes me super happy cause that is pretty rare. I am desperately looking for another game like this just because I enjoyed it so much!! Totally worth $5.99.

Just not my style
I have loved all of the Snapbreak games except the last 2. They are more like visual novels with tons of dialogue. If this is your thing, I’m sure it’s a good game. I just don’t have the patience to click through all the dialogue. I would love another old school Snapbreak game though!

Disappointing
Had this on pre order for I don’t know how long was really looking forward to picking it up however I was disappointed to see that it’s overall just dull…. The voice acting is terrible and the puzzles if you can call them that are just plain nonsense so disappointed
Cute with some flaws
I generally enjoyed this game until I got to the fourth act and getting to the dorms was just very confusing and unclear. I ended up having to go to a walkthrough to get the answers but it still wasn’t intuitive and so I’m not sure if I’ll play through the end because of it. The story was compelling. The retro graphics are cute but it made navigating difficult - hard to see what you need to click on or if there are hidden items to pick up. The puzzles are at a middle difficulty which expands the possible players.
Stuck in bug - Maybe will try again later
Got stuck in an area of the middle islands in act 3 because I couldn’t back up. Maybe I’ll try this again after the developers get more bugs worked out.
All The Essences of a Retro Adventure
This pretty much hit all the spots of a retro point and click adventure game. I enjoyed it and the story was good. Now I want a sequel or a prequel.

I’m honestly so sick of getting excited about a game preordering it waiting for months to play it for 10 minutes then get asked to pay for the rest especially when the first ten minutes doesn’t make it worth the money whatsoever so this would have zero stars but I’m unfortunately forced to put at least one
Wow..
Amazing game. Love the style and the story. But I have to say that I played it really fast through and I wished there was more story from the alien. Also little minus point was the ending, I mean yeah it suits the game very well but I just wished there was more backstory what exactly happened.
Nice game, let down by voice acting
Really enjoying the old point and click style but the voice acting from the main character is simply dreadful. She sounds like a patronising primary school teacher. Playing it with the sound off. Shame.

Love the retro feel. Sound effect and music is nicely done. Puzzles are diverse and not boring. Not too difficult that it gets frustrating. The twist and the character swap is great! Wish there’s more! Maybe a whole other game of playing as the Alien (the local)? Sequel? Prequel!!
Another brilliant game turning out to be a complete waste of time!
Just as I was throughly enjoying the wonderful game I was stopped in my tracks. Why? To play the rest of it I have to pay for it, something I cannot afford to do. Why oh why can you game developers not make your games available to everyone, why do those of us without the money have to miss out on the chance to play such brilliant games? Alas, game deleted!!!!

I have just finished this game and really enjoyed it. The graphics are great, the puzzles engaging, and I love having to go back to writing a list of clues on a piece of paper to refer to later. Reminds me of games from the 90s. Great story too. I would agree with someone else that the voice acting is a little stilted, but it’s not bad enough to put me off the game. I would really recommend this to lovers of sci-fi and puzzle-based video games.
