What people like
- Helps you reclaim hours of your day
- Simple and easy to use interface
- Great for breaking doomscrolling habits
What they complain about
- Hard block mode costs extra money
- Free version is too easy to bypass
- Subscription feels unfair for a simple tool
It helps!
Easy to use and understand. I use the free version when I don’t want to be distracted by messages.
Terrible options
Hard to use and could not block websites.
Good
But maybe too loose. Too much control for user. Make it stricter
Not very effective
I like the app functions but it is WAYYY to easy to unblock and get distacted again and spend hours doomscrolling. I wish the hard block mode was free.
Sigh..
I genuinely loved this app before you had to pay for everything. It helped me so much with being productive and not being on my phone but now if you don’t pay it’s super easy to get past all the blocks.
Did everything i could
First time deleting it made apps permanently stuck on block 2nd time even with the deleting instructions still stuck on blocked Please fix
Good
I’m starting to feel a change. I’ve been stuck in this endless loop of coming home from school and instantly getting on socials like TikTok and YouTube for hours. I wouldn’t get anything productive done every day because I was glued to my phone, I started losing motivation and lost interest in my hobbies, but downloading this app has been helping me restrict the urge and gain the motivation and energy again. I now wake up and my routine feels more stable and I’m able to come home and get things done. As much as I love this app I do feel as there’s no reason for it to cost money. But yes I do reccomend 👍
Review
Only thing that I don’t like is that the restrictive options cost money. Let’s be real, people get this to stop gooning, the lower level things help but for high level gooners, not so much. But other wise pretty good app.
Great App
App is awesome! Perfect to keep me accountable and not scroll social media for hours in bed each night.
No sirve si no tienes premium
Great app; extortionate pricing
The app is definitely great, helpful and well made. But its pricing is extortionately and unethically high for something designed to free people from smartphone addiction.
Rating
I like the deep breaths you put in when we unblock the contents. It reminds me of mindfulness. Thank you!
I like it
I like it and it made me write a review so
Honestly
Baaaad app high prices
Good blocking
Just a tad bit confusing
It's good but one huge error
I like the app, better and simpler than other time blockers. However there is an error with the timing, it doesn't block for the hours I se
So good
The best app so yup can focus on
Muy caro…
En serio 60€ al año? Menuda lástima
Genuinely helpful :>
I wish that there was more available to free users (specifically the hardcore block mode where you can’t unblock it), but this app has helped me for sure to be able to doomscroll less. Would recommend!
MONEY
Why is money needed for an app like this?? It makes zero sense dont get me wrong this is something I’m trying change abt my self and I don’t wanna play money. This is the only thing stopping it from being a 5 out of 5.
Thank you!
I had been struggling to manage my social media and phone usage, this helped me more than I expected it to. My screen time drastically went down and because of that I became so much more productive. Thank you, Refocus!
Why?
Why ooh why is this app billed on a subscription model? What is justifying this? Why can’t we just buy it for a fixed price knowing that it only affects local configuration, and no interaction with any kind of external server should be needed so that it can serve its primary function? Subscriptions on everything is definitely the cancer of the digital era.
Peak
It’s been a good app but the free restrictions shouldn’t be inf. Unblocks
Helpful with strings
I have been using my phone less and have seen a difference in my presence in my day to day. I do wish there was a lifetime membership. If an app is made to better someone's life, and it works, I would want a lifetime membership.
Es lo mejor
Realmente gracias.
Amazing I love it
It has helped me so much. I spend way less time on social media or checking my emails. Highly recommend.
Sometimes auto blocks
Sometimes apps are already blocked from the beginning of the day it’s inconsistent but it’s merely a small inconvenience atp, good app it was fixed now as of aug 2026
Please make it harder to unblock
Good app and I know it needs to make money but maybe if you add ads when you do a medium unblock it would make free users a lot happier
Refocus is amazing
I love this app so much because honestly it’s the perfect balance of feeling restricted on apps, but also being able to bypass them as needed. The act of having to go into a different app to stop blocking your social media etc. makes you reconsider the time you’re spending on whatever app you’re trying to block. It doesn’t require any code which is also nice and it lets you hold yourself accountable.
bruh
i coudn’t unblock my apps!!!! this ruined my life
Good app. Helps my TikTok addiction
Wish that some features weren’t blocked behind a pay wall, but overall very good.
Help pls - cannot delete this app for the love of all that is holy
Installed refocus along with several apps in that vein to see which would work best. After finding a free app for the same purpose, decided against purchasing refocus, logged out, and never blocked any apps. However, when I try to delete the app, deleting is not an option? I’ve looked at the guide etc, I’ve tried the usual buttons, but it simply does not give an option to delete the app, only to remove itself from the homepage. Please help!
Great way to manage distractions!
I love how easy this app is and how it helps me relax but not fall into endless doomscrolling
Refund please
I installed this app while distracted and it’s now charged me for a full year. It didn’t help me with issues of having to use same apps for work and personal life. It said it would notify before renewal but it didn’t. Please refund
Love it!
Love! Easy to use!
3/5
It’s helped with less screen time although it’s really easy to unblock.
Love it!
This app has helped me get off my phone and I really appreciate that. I’ve reclaimed 2 hours per day from my phone.
Super
Very helpful!
Its a very useful app even for free users!
good but expensive
a lots of appreciation to the developer of this app . you made my life more focused. but lots of basic features are chargeable
