USED to be great…
…until I got a new phone, and suddenly I need go through Shortcuts and all these insane steps just to add settings to a specific app? No thanks! Time to find a new app that won’t make me jump through hoops!

Best thing ever with my ADHD!
I donated but the app lacks features
I donated cause I am also an app developer and I know how much time it takes. But why can I still open my apps past my limit? I wanted this app cause it blocks my addicting apps when Ive spent too much time. But you can just open it anyway… Also I wanted to collectively spent 2 hours maximum on social media apps. But theres no way to collectively set limits, only per app. I was hoping for more features. Hope you guys can improve the app!
Great app
I like how you can customize the time that you can use the app, customize the message. Overall works much better than the normal “screen time” from Apple IMO Edit 9/2/2026: Not a huge fan that they told me that if I reviewed on the App Store, I’d get a free halo, and then I never hear anything back from them. I’ve been a user of this app for over a year and it’s been helpful, but nobody likes being lied to.

The timed sessions are an amazing way to lower screen time! really good app and the fact that its all totally free is also amazing
Funktioniert meistens nicht richtig
Wenn ich eine App entsperren will, funktioniert es machmal perfekt, aber manchmal verbrauche ich eine Entsperrung und die App öffnet sich nicht. Kurz darauf bekommt man zwar die Entsperrung zurück, aber geöffnet bekommt man sie nur sehr umständlich.
Very customizable
I love how customizable the blocking can be. It can be very specific or very general and all in between. And the ability to schedule the blocking to certain times of the day is really useful. Can be a little buggy sometimes, especially when my phone restarts, but it's better than it used to be and I'm sure it will continue to improve over time.
too complicated app

Works reasonable, annoying notification
Recently, they added an annoying “daily summary” notification that can’t be turned off. Another notification added to the endless stream you already receive daily. Unfortunately, I’ve now turned off notifications from this app entirely. The app works pretty well overall, but it’s sometimes janky, and YouTube blocking doesn’t function properly in the browser (you can never unlock it).
It snapped you out of it.
Let's be real, the short videos and everything suck you in. This shakes you out of it in intervals that you want.

I have a really bad scrolling habit on YouTube but when I go in entertainment it does not show the Youtube option when I go in creativity it shows only youtube when I select YouTube even the whole creativity section gets selected And all the apps which should be in creativity shows up in other Still when I select YouTube , YouTube does not get blocked , photos and camera does

The best app for time management
I have had this app for about 2 years now to limit my social media use. This app has helped me manage my personal time in life and limit my time on social media through discipline. I highly recommend this app if you’re thinking you’re spending too much time on your phone and looking to cut back on social media apps or any app to enjoy more of your life.
Glitchy Stopped working
Glitchy and frustrating The app is extremely glitchy and has stopped working properly. I tried deleting and adding the schedules I wanted to adjust, but it’s not responding at all. It keeps blocking apps when I don’t need them blocked, and vice versa. Very frustrating and basically unusable in its current state.

Would work better if the timer always started after trying to open apps. Sometimes it’s hidden and hard to tell if it’s working or not.

O app é muito bom, mesmo a versão gratuita tem os recursos perfeitos de bloquear o acesso a cada tempo determinado, separando o uso diário de 1 hora em frações, ao invés de liberar a 1 hora de uma vez como acontece no limitador de apps nativo do celular. Porém o desenvolvedor não parece se importar com as outras línguas. Existe uma opção para você se inscrever e ajudar a traduzir o aplicativo, e já enviei umas três vezes e não obtive retorno. Enquanto isso o desenvolvedor busca realizar outras ações promocionais do seu app. Ou seja, ele não busca deixar o app mais acessível a outras línguas, ainda mais tendo pessoas voluntárias que estariam disponíveis a ajudar. Como cliente, eu não recomendaria investir dinheiro nesse app, visto que o desenvolvedor não parece se importar tanto assim com seu público, nem com a expansão dele.

I’m so grateful to this app and the creators. I really struggle to turn off the phone at a reasonable time so I can get sleep, and this app has been very helpful.

I wish there was a way where u can pause the time u have left because i’ll open instagram just to show my friend something and then i feel pressured to use all my time up at that moment which feels against the app’s mission. It has helped immensely tho to end my doomscrolling

Doesn’t really work I have 6 ten minute timers and for like 3-4 every day it just doesn’t work for a hour which is so stupid I really like this app when it works but I don’t understand why it dosnt work all the time

My fiancé downloaded this app and was immediately happy with the results. I decided to download it too, and it really does help! Instead of mindlessly opening apps and scrolling, I get a personalized reminder of why I should be spending my time wiser. It’s something I got to choose myself! I have the 20 second block on and that’s also helped tremendously. I really like this app and will continue to use it.
Blocking unadded apps
I had a limit for my banking apps. And I hadn’t used them all day I went to use them and it would say opening in 5 seconds then not open . Kept happening I needed to use my banking apps. So I deleted the group which was limiting them in the app. I go to use them and it says they are fully blocked. They arnt in the app anymore shouldn’t have anything to do with ScreenZen anymore but they are fully blocked . So I haven’t been able to get into my banking apps in hours. Which is not good I need to be able to access them. Ridiculous.
Efficient at blocking apps, just watch your time settings!
I used ScreenZen to break my social media addiction since my good reasons to quit didn’t really help. Instead of using time limits I decided to block the apps completely for 180 minutes. ScreenZen created great friction which helped me get off screen for a week. When I urgently needed my browser for a project, I was completely blocked. I had to tap my screen every minute and wait for 3 hours. If I didn’t tap my screen, my iPad would fall asleep and the timer would reset. The 3 hours app lock ruined my focus and caused me to binge-watch anyway. Developers should limit this strict lockout feature to a maximum of 30 minutes to prevent dopamine crashes. Next time I use ScreenZen I would only use a 15 to 30 minute lock. After waiting for the app to unlock, I would get a 30 minutes session, 3 times a day. A 15 minute unlock delay helps me break my impulsive urges without wasting too much time.
Good but I forgot my password and now can’t remove anything.
I have been using this app for a while now but I have forgotten the password and unfortunately made it so I can not delete apps and can only disable using my password which I don’t know if there is a way to have this not happen please inform me.

This app was really helpful.
Overall, this app has been a massive help when I have been trying to reduce my screen time. It is particularly helpful because you can change the settings easily giving you control over how you choose to block apps, rather than having strictly imposed bans it gives options and that is helpful. However, I would like it to have an ‘emergency’ feature that you could press to bypass blocks where you need to quickly without having to go onto the app itself.

Brilliant concept, bugs & ads detract
In concept, this is the single most valuable app on my phone. I would pay a month monthly subscription for this with no question. It’s so much better than standard blocking apps because with those you turn them off and then don’t turn them back on. With this one you don’t have to disable it entirely. However, there are two major issues with the current implementation. The first is that it’s a free app. Yes, I know a lot of people might think that’s a good thing. But I prefer to pay money for quality apps. And at present I get no priority support, I get no reassurance that this app is going to continue to survive, and I get these annoying ads while I’m waiting for apps to unlock (most notably was the one where the creator kept trying to advertise his own band to me, which I had absolutely zero interest in). I just want to pay a fee to not have to deal with any of this stuff. The second issue is that, at least on my device, the ability to add a new blocking group — a MAJOR feature — broke several months ago. The button literally just disappeared. I’ve taken the time to help them by reporting the issue twice with full videos, but haven’t even had the basic courtesy of an acknowledgement, let alone a fix. So at present the app is only half functional and I can’t add any new blocks. Ultimately, I just wish they would hurry up and offer a paid version so they would actually make some money to fix these things. Until then, I’m on the lookout for something that takes this concept and does it a little bit better, and I’ll happily pay for such an app if and when I find it.

I’ve had this app for about a few months and it’s been amazing. My screen time has went down and I’ve been utilizing my time better. Definitely a good choice if you want to get back on track with your life! I love how it breaks the screen time up and gives u time to think!

It ACTUALLY helps you focus on school.
I currently do homeschool, and by that It gets VERY easy to get distracted with screens and devices especially if you’re just sitting at home all day. I’ve been procrastinating school for months and I’ve stayed at the same percentage for about 6 months. I just downloaded the app a few days ago and BOY DOES TS WORK WONDERSSS I’ve been able to achieve 2 credits within a week because of this app. And if you’re someone who CARES about streaks.. this is gonna be the app for you.
Very effective
I’ve had a few apps like this over the last couple of years and none has worked so well as this one at keeping me out of a scroll hole! The one problem I’m having is that when I want to add a post to instagram, I can’t hear any sound - so I can’t hear the music i want to add or any sounds from anyone else’s reels/posts/stories etc. Would be great if this bug could be fixed! Then it would be a perfect app 👍
strict blocking apps problem
I have two different groups one for strict blocked apps and another for limited use group. The problem is when I open the limited use apps the apps on the strict group are also unlocked. Is there any solutions for that ?
