I know you’re a small team, but you really have to prioritise the Mac app at some point. It is so far behind the curve I have had to switch over to Cold Turkey on my computer because I can easily circumvent Jomo and there are many many bugs in this app.

I myself come from a generation that had and now has unfettered access to YouTube, instagram, etc… since its infancy. My mind has developed an extremely obsessive and addictive habit towards these applications, causing me to not even be able to do my bed in the mornings, I have had phases in life when I somewhat restricted my use of social media/gaming/xxx and it led to me completing my bachelors in mathematics and landing a great job, but I was never fully free until now. It has been only 5 days and my screen time is down from 4 hours to less than an 45 minutes a day. This focus had led to me being so productive I completed projects that I previously thought were going to take weeks in days. I dabbled with other methods such as screen time passcode and assistive access. But assistive access genuinely limited some important tools in communication I needed and screen time passcode required me to have my fiancée constantly on call just in case I needed to search something up or use the internet. This in app allows me to set a clear boundary between using technology for my benefit, versus using it as an escape for my boredom. Thank for giving me my life back.
Does not sync with the ap
You have to continuously create the same rules and blocks time and time again, nothing syncs. This should be so basic
Great but UI a bit complicated
Took me a while to figure out the UI. I think they should make it easier to activate or deactivate a rule based on your location.
Will not let you edit
Sometimes I need to add more time to the app that I block, and it simply will not let me. I don’t have it programmed to not let me. It is a glitch. 90% of the time I do not have a need to add more time but occasionally something comes up and it’s really frustrating that I can’t easily just add five more minutes when that happens. Feeling like an app is controlling me is the exact thing I’m trying to get away from.
Great App, Broken Upgrade Process
I actually like Jomo and decided to upgrade to the Lifetime plan because I believe in the app. Unfortunately, the upgrade process is poorly designed. The app instructs users to purchase the Lifetime plan first and then request a refund from Apple for the annual subscription. I followed those instructions exactly, but Apple denied my refund request. As a result, I ended up paying for both an Annual subscription and a Lifetime subscription. If this upgrade path depends on Apple approving refunds, it’s not a reliable system. Jomo should redesign the upgrade process so customers aren’t put in this situation. For example, they could offer the Lifetime purchase through their website, provide a prorated upgrade, or use another method that doesn’t rely on Apple’s refund process. I still think the app is great, but the upgrade experience left me frustrated. I hope the developers improve this so future customers don’t end up paying twice.
Just get it
I looked for a screen time app that would actually work and am so glad I found Jomo. Does exactly what I want it to, works seamlessly with great documentation and support, reasonable price, ideal experience. I definitely recommend.
Not consistent
This app was great at first but then it became very inconsistent if it would work or not. It felt like the app would choose which days it wanted to work. I’d open the app and expect it to track and nothing would happen. And then there were days the app was closed and I didn’t even touch it and I would get tracking notifications. I will be looking for something that works properly.
Great app
I’m trying out this app rn and it works great! Much better than the other options, especially with the strict mode. There is one issue I found though. It’s really easy to bypass. All you have to do is go into settings and remove the screen time permission from it. Though I’m not sure if that’s possible to fix. Lovely app though, maybe I’ll just block the settings app lol

Life-changing app
Started using JOMO over 2 years ago and it has changed my relationship with my phone and social media as a whole. I pay for the annual Memebership and I truly believe it is so worth it year after year espically as someone working SMM ; being intentional with my user experience is so important me! If you’re on the market for an incredible app to block apps, JOMO is that GIRL 🥹🤍

Literal Lifesaver!
I wasted so much time in my life scrolling instead of living and trying to reach my goals. I literally was on my phone for 11hrs a day 💀 But I’ve been working on my graphic novel pitch, I’ve been reading, working on crafts, and spending time out in the world instead of watching it on the screen. It’s 10000% worth the annual plan. My critism is that I’ve noticed a lot of the art on the “blog” is AI. :/ For a company who’s goal is to get us off our screen, it seems ironic that a computer generates their at.
It was great until it wasn’t
This app was incredible at first. There is so much possibility with all the features included, but lately, it’s simply not working. The strict modes, which I think are the only true way to limit usage behavior, aren’t counting time spent. I set 30 minutes of X dot com daily, and i’ll be on it for well over 30 minutes and I think to check on my time usage, and it hasn’t counted a minute. In fact, today, it went from locked up, to now I have 15 more minutes of usage. I don’t know what happened with it, but unless It can be fixed, this app is not worth your money. A shame, because it’s far more affordable than Opal, and comes with essentially all the same features. I know the devs are a small team, and I am happy to revise my review if things can change, but I am seeing similar reports of the same issues in reviews here. I would love to buy the app outright for lifetime use, but if it’s not going to work as it should, it’s not worth investing $100 into it. Hoping things can get better.

Enshi*tified onboarding and dark patterns
Tons of dark patterns during onboarding, railroads you straight into payment. There’s freemium where the power features are paid, then there’s this where 99% of features are paid, the free tier does basically nothing. For an app that claims to help me get my time back from other abusive apps, they clearly have no qualms abusing me as a user themselves.

Incredibly helped my screen addiction to Instagram. There are multiple ways to handle this situation that I found to be very useful to find the one best for me.

This app has helped me immensely. I love the added features that make it stronger/more adaptable than Screen Time. I have been using it for just under a month and my doomscrolling is less than half of what it was before.

I love this app so much!! It really really helps me use my phone more intentionally, i personally love the option of writing down the reason for using apps before gaining access to them. One thing i would really appreciate though is a more aesthetically pleasing lock screen when apps are being blocked. Maybe something similar to the screen time page, or allowing more customization in that aspect.

I have been very satisfied since I started using this app to lock my mobile apps and I have been able to manage my time a lot with this app.
Would be 5 stars if it worked
This app would be fantastic if it worked and did what it was supposed to do. Unfortunately, certain apps, including distractions like messaging and Spotify , are never blocked, no matter what settings I use. I’ve gone through their entire trouble shooting process. It didn’t help. I reached out to tech support. Didn’t hear back. The design for setting up blocks also works poorly. You can pick apps from pre set categories that don’t really make sense (my work dual authentication is under banking) and then Jomo tells you how many you’ve picked total to allow, but there’s no way to see the a list of what you’ve selected so you can review it and make sure it’s what you wanted. You have to click through category by category and check them individually, which would be annoying even if the categories made sense. The way they use websites makes the ability to block “everything but” nonfunctional. You can only pick everything OR up to 50 apps you want blocked. That would be fine, but at least 100 random websites are listed as “apps.”Many are sites I’ve absolutely never used or don’t recognize. I’ve even deleted my browser history but they’re all still in there. If I try to select “block all” and then deselect just maps, so I have access to nothing but maps, I’m over the limit of 50 apps to block because each random website is counted as an individual app. You can opt to allow all web browsing, in case you’re easily distracted by your phone, but having the entire internet at your fingertips is somehow not an issue? But you can’t opt to block all websites. It’s a really wonky design that destroys the functionality since choosing what to exclude doesn’t work consistently.

It works so good! I just wish that they expanded their features in the basic mode more.

L’idée est bonne mais le temps d’écran ne s’actualise pas chez moi sauf si je le fais manuellement en ouvrant l’application donc peu d’intérêt

Une super appli qui m’a permis de passer de 8-9h de temps d’écran (5h d’Instagram) à 3-4h (30min d’Instagram) PROBLÈME : depuis quelques jours mon application ne fait que de crash avant même que celle ci se lance. Je ne peux plus ouvrir l’application.. si le problème peut être corrigé pour profiter à nouveau de JOMO 🙏

This app gave me back free time I didn’t know id had, i haven’t been able to crack my phone addiction in YEARS! tryed every app, hack, and advice but jomo is what did it!!!! I literally cant recommend this app enough!
Inconsistent
I’ve been a paying customer for 51 weeks and am not renewing. I use it on strict mode allowing myself 15 minutes a day on specific apps. It used to do this very well but now the application of it is wildly inconsistent and the tool is ineffective. Sometimes the app will kick on and block after 15 minutes, much of the time it does not. When I restart my phone it’ll often work again for a few days then stop blocking until the next restart or when it changes its mind.

the phone app is practically perfect, works great. in the mac app i can't select exceptions for websites to keep unblocked (eg. linkedin in social media) and i can't see my screen time compared to my goal screen time like you can in the app. other than that, which the first issue might be my fault, its great! thank you.

its good and i use it on my mac its got a nice design and keeps me from getting distracted, but when i want to take a break from it the app regularly freezes so i had to delete it
Looks nice, too buggy
Nice features and UI, but unfortunately it was too buggy. I started breaks and often would not get access to my apps. Occasionally it actually kept me locked out of apps even when a blocking period had ended. I couldn’t trust it anymore so a switched to an alternative

Please make it so if your thing opens at three and then closes at four instead, it opens at three and you get to spend an hour on it anytime after three, but then, after an hour, it closes so I don’t always have to get on at exactly 3 to have my hour! I always miss it because I’m hanging out with friends :(
Got locked out
I was using Jomo for months with great success, then all of a sudden it locked me out of the app and I couldn’t adjust my rules or take a break. I was locked out of my phone for awhile and deleting the app did not help. I ended up finding a workaround by denying Jomo access to my phone but it took 30 min to fix. Would not recommend at this point.
No Widget
It’s an excellent app, but why isn’t there a widget that allows me to check my screen time for today?
