Horribly optimized
Game is great, but it runs horribly turned your phone into your own personal heater and stutters and skis and if you get past a certain point and go to try to open your phone, it just crashes
Need more campaign :(
Love this game quite a bit. Big fan of the tournament mode and kind of wish that were an alternate campaign option. Also just really wish for a lot more campaign in general.
Would be 5 start but….
A round the 200 population mark the sandbox crashes, every time. Similar reviews saying the same thing but it doesnt look as though the developers can fix it?
first one was better
i’ve put a lot of time into both of the outlanders games. and can honestly say the first is far superior. the slow way the villagers work in this, and lack of prioritization of tasks, makes it really frustrating to get things done in certain levels/situations. it would be really cool to see similar mechanics added to this game!

Lost progress//Crashing
Fun until you want to make a big plot and it crashes and you lose all your progress. Beware of lag if you want to do anything big
Lack of campaign additions
This new tournament style is ok. But makes me think of the myriad of other gaps that are just click and wait. Not a real simulation or challenge. Wish they would focus more on the campaigns again. Will probably cancel the subscription when it renews as this and outlanders 1 are the only games I use it for.
Could have been better
What would have been a fun, engaging title turned into an annoyance from the overuse of text speak in a normal tutorial. Using “rn” instead of “right now” was the straw for me. If the game ever grows up, I’ll try again.
Took away challenges
Long time players basically have nothing to do. Is there ever going to be new campaigns?
Love the game but…
I love this game, and find it very fun and addicting to play, but it makes my IPhone 16pro overheat like crazy, and over time the game gets laggy and eventually crashes. Could we please get this fixed?
I loved it but now it’s giving me to much pressure
So when I first started it it was pretty fun but then when my sandbox world went deeper a villager died and the place ran out of food so it made me cry I bit so if you have a kid maybe don’t let them have this because the pressure on them might be a problem
Renaming villages
I love this version of the game. I just wish I could go in and rename my village since I forgot to name it before I finalized it. Maybe add the ability to rename them, and maybe make it so that players HAVE TO give the village a name before they finalize.
All good things must come to an end
The game is now boring. If you’ve never played, do it—so, so fun to do the campaign the first time. Extremely worth it. But now the new tournament mode is all that is left for longtime players and changes this from economy/strategy to a luck-based card game, and limits creativity terribly. Too bad but it really was a fantastic game before this. I guess they want a new audience? I’d love to know what metrics they saw that encouraged this, just out of curiosity after enjoying it so long, to understand such a radical change. Well-designed challenges every 3 days (take your time to keep it fun!) would’ve been more beloved by the players I know. I wish devs had saved their “card game” lucky-draw idea for a spin-off, some separate game, or trialed it a bit, not replacing what worked here. Feels like a kids’ version of what was a great game. I don’t play this card game anymore but thankfully Civ is out on Arcade now!!
Fix the crashing
I’m obsessed with Outlanders 1 and 2…most notably the sandbox gameplay. However it crashes non-stop and it’s extremely frustrating. I want to give it a five so bad but it’s so annoying.
MUST PLAY
Ninaaaaaaaaa! Haha lol. My gf told me to play this for like a year and a half but I finally am now and like holy wow! Really aesthetically pleasing and very friendly. I love this game so far and the villagers like Nina are really a time. Yep. I think I like this lil life. HAHAHHA. I think what was missing inside me has now been restored, thanks Nina.
Crash, after crash.
First few hours playing and the game keeps crashing. It will not reload the saved game. By the looks of other reviews, this is a widespread issue.

Everytime i try to start a game in samdbox mode it keeps crashing before loading the game. I used to play this alot and loved it, decided to pay for apple arcade so i can it again but it keeps crashing. I wanna play! Please fix!

The game is amazing at least top five and all Apple Arcade games but the game still closes after 100 and something villagers, I can see that you guys updated the game so it can run more smoothly with more villagers, but is still doing the same thing after like 100 something villagers, I can’t fast forward that much or the game were close. I can’t move around at night while in fast forward or the game will close I can’t try to make houses in fast forward or the game will close. It makes my phone really hot not to the point where I need to let it cool down, but it makes it hot and I have a iPhone 17. Can you guys at do anything about it closing after a certain amount of villagers? I will literally pay for this game if I had to been on and off this game for years, just because it keeps closing out but Besides it closing out repeatedly the game is amazing I would like to just add that we need more ways to cook food on the winter biomes. Thanks again. Hope you see my message if you don’t then at least I tried……
Great improvements, but I’d still want a few tweaks
I really like the game and it’s a proper sequel, but I do miss the icons for buildings having a preview of what they looked like
Constant crashes
I love playing the game on my iPad but not only does it take a lot of space it crashes every 3 min I have erased everything except the stock apps and I’m fully up to date and it keeps doing the same thing this is really beginning to piss me off fix it plz apple
I want to love it, but..
I want to love it, but after I build more than 10~ buildings my phone beings to heat up and lag. It’s a beautiful fun game, and I really enjoy it. But I can’t get past the intense lag that comes with it after a certain point. My phone turns into a block of heat, it stutters and struggles so bad. I have an IPhone 15. It makes me sad.
fun until it stops working
179 in-game days, population of 80 and now the app crashes everytime i try to load the save. it was fun for 2 days but they shouldv built the game to be played all the way through. waste of time
Keeps Crashing
Honestly this game is a 5 stars from me IF I could play it. I had one sandbox save that kept crashing to the point it was unplayable. I couldn’t even get one minute of playtime on that save. When I created a new save, it ran smooth until my population got to around 120. It keeps crashing, so I have to keep opening up or restarting the app just to get about 2-3 minutes of playtime. I’ve had 4 saves total that kept crashing and got desperate enough to delete two of my saves to see if I could run my latest one, but it still crashes. It would be nice to play my saves again.

Used to be fun
Used to be a lot of fun now I’m trapped on campaign mode mission that is impossible. I have 60 days to build a bunch of stuff in a snowy wasteland and I can’t get past it and they starved to death or freeze to death before I can do anything and there’s no way to skip it.
Bring back the old challenges
The best part of this game is the old challenges where you have a set number of days to meet specified quotas. I spent a lot of time beating all of those challenges and would love more like those. The new challenges & the tournaments don’t give the player any sense of accomplishment. The tournaments are easy to complete within the amount of time given and player rankings mean nothing to me especially since they aren’t legit.
Ruined a great game.
This game is a game I can sit and play for hours to destress, instead I’m hit with the utmost lag, on a A19 PRO that’s ridiculous, instead of focusing on adding new things and tournaments that half the players hate focus on actually optimizing the game and making it playable. This is ridiculous and this development team has totally lost they’re way from outlanders 1 so damn sad.
Fun sequel!
This was a fun game at first, but as it moved away from campaigns and towards more frequent but repetitive content, it’s gotten boring. Challenges were a mixed bag; the original ones are fun, the bounty ones are awful. Tournaments are worse. I miss the quirky storylines and weird characters driving weird goals.

Villagers don’t work, they just stand idly around. They work a little in the beginning but once you hit 30+ villagers everybody just stops working for the most part
Great game, crashes a lot
I love this game so much! The only problem I have is that if I try to do a large map in sandbox mode (or the campaigns) there is a point where the game crashes. Sometimes I can’t even load it up again. It used to do this in the first Outlanders game even on my gaming PC. I’ll have to pay for 2 there and check it out.

The game is unplayable in sandbox mode, Im sure the developers are aware of this but it needs fixing. It needed fixing in Outlanders 1 and its worse in Outlanders 2.

Does not get past the loading screen on iPad. I tried suggestions of turning on airplane mode before opening but no luck. Not great
My save isn’t loading
For some reason it won’t let me get back into my sandbox save it’s been working just fine for the past two weeks I tried restarting the game but is still doesn’t work every time it just kicked me out of the game completely. so my only option is to either restart all over again which is just frustrating. but I still love the game so I hope you can fix whatever happened. Because I wouldn’t want to have to my save every time I get far into it
Good game but disappointingly slow to bring new levels.
It's really frustrating how long they take to bring new levels, been waiting months for the latest and completed all 3 in an hour because they are too easy and just not worth the wait.

Thank you for the UI update for the Challenge Archives!!!! I’ve been playing through them all and I literally cheered when I opened up the new update. These devs truly love this game and you can tell with the consistent work put into it. Best game on arcade by far, it’s what I pay the subscription for.
Love it but buggy
I love this game so much, I can be addicted for hours. Sadly recently I have been unable to play as it is so buggy that it crashes every minute especially on sandbox. I have tried all the usual fixes. Will change to 5* once this is fixed!

Hi so uh this game is great lots of fun features, really cool. BUT. IN. SANDBOX. I sincerely love sandbox and enjoy playing it. BUT every time I click my sandbox world it loads, freezes, and then throws me to my Home Screen. This is really annoying and I really want it fixed. Thank yoouuuuuuuu!
Constant Crashes Ruin It
Some levels are unplayable because of crashes. Must be one crash every 90 seconds. Should have been fixed by now
Fun for a short time
Campaigns are too difficult and requirements are not clear. The idea that “satisfy” happiness 100% is silly. Even the first couple of campaigns are hard enough that they quickly stop being fun.
Love it!! Totally recommend
Both versions are really good and I play them both frequently. I kinda hope they will come out with a ‘modern’ version, just to change it up a bit. Have a city, apartment complexes, supermarket and maybe all the way to a farm with transportation to the supermarket 🤷♀️
Great game, crashes A LOT
This is a great game, find it really enjoyable but it gets to a point where the population grows the game fails to load meaning you will have to either start again knowing it’ll crash, or quit all together.

absolutely loving this game so far! the quality-of-life has improved a lot since the original game; i used to get very easily overwhelmed playing the first one but i can happily say i've yet to get overwhelmed with this version. however, with that being said, there's a couple performance issues. once i reach about 50+ villagers, everything starts lagging. and the more villagers i have, the harder it is to move the map. not to mention, only 5 mins of playtime drains about 10% of my battery. i saw another review say the FPS needs to be higher for their iPad, and i'm playing on an older iPhone; so it sounds like there needs to be different performance options for different devices

Great until it bugs out
I like playing the sandbox version once I get to a certain point; the game no longer runs. It’s like there is a limit to the data the game can pull.
