Why sit and pretend what you advertise and do mot produce the results without paying for your subscription? Don’t advertise something, collect peoples information, then throw up your sorry non-disclosed paywall! Thats dirty! Hope you feel good about yourself! Completely wrong transcriptions
I’ve been using Transkriptor for a long time and it used to work very well. However, after the most recent updates, the app suddenly started generating completely nonsensical transcripts. It often transcribes my recordings in random languages or produces text that has nothing to do with the audio. The recordings are clear, and the exact same files worked perfectly before. I’m not the only one experiencing this, so it seems something may have changed in the transcription engine or language detection. I hope the developers acknowledge the issue and release a fix soon. Until then, I cannot rely on the app for professional work, and I wanted to warn potential customers before they purchase a subscription.
Could improve.
Mislabeled the entire meeting, attributed the wrong speaker to people with incredibly distinct voices, but with that feature turned off, produced a “good enough” block of text for another AI system to appropriately parse and correct. I will give it another try, because support was helpful and responded quickly, next time I have something to transcribe - and update my review.

Cool app! But not formatting summary
I like this app. Testedand imediately bought a yearly subscription. Aspecially cool feature is AI Summarizing. But☝🏼minus 1 star because copying of summary is like 1 brick of totally not formatted text😂 please fix it.

Tut was sie soll
Die App funktioniert gut und tut somit was sie soll, wie andere, günstigere Apps das auch tun. Ich habe die app für einen einzigen Zweck benötigt und wieder gekündigt - die Kündigung war leider notwendig, da das Testabo nicht wie versprochen automatisch auslief und mich auch keine entsprechende Nachricht (ebenfalls versprochen) erreichte. Daher lediglich drei Punkte

There needs to be a option to refill minutes

I purchased a monthly subscription on April 29, but by May 26 the app stopped working. On what basis was my subscription disabled before the month even ended? Customer support is completely useless and does not respond at all. This is a terrible app with very poor service. I do not recommend Transkriptor to anyone.

You should add the feature that transcribes multiple language files it would be soo helpful please do that thanks

Crashes
I bought it. Used it for live meetings etc. Flawless. And now I was expecting the same with mp4 video files. I record with Insta 360 X5 in single lens mode. With the rode wireless go 2 mike. And as soon as I open the video which I already have transfered to my iphone 16 photo library, in transkriptor the program analysis begins and in a couple of seconds it crashes. I am sorry but not as versatile as it says it is. Why on earth would you crash when processing a video files?

Record yourself, record your meetings, Process YouTube videos with the URL, load video and audio files. Then it transcribes to text, provides an automated Summary, you can use the built in AI to Chat and expand knowledge about your source texts. I use it everyday as an AI and IT professional to improve my workflows and continuous learning. Highly recommend! Only thing missing is being able to pay for blocks of time after your subscription allotment is almost consumed. I beg the Product Owner to add this capability. I would use the app even more and pay for it.

Sprechererkennung mangelhaft
Ich nutze Ihren Transkriptionsdienst regelmäßig für die Auswertung von Beratungsgesprächen. Leider bin ich zunehmend unzufrieden, vor allem mit einem zentralen Punkt: der Sprechererkennung. Das größte Problem ist, dass unterschiedliche Stimmen nicht zuverlässig getrennt werden. Selbst wenn zwei Personen klar unterscheidbar sprechen – etwa eine weibliche und eine männliche Stimme – werden die Beiträge häufig zusammengeführt oder einer einzigen Person zugeordnet. In der Praxis bedeutet das: Im Transkript ist nicht mehr nachvollziehbar, wer eine bestimmte Aussage gemacht hat. Für die professionelle Arbeit mit Gesprächsprotokollen ist das ein gravierender Mangel. Gerade bei Dialogen ist es essenziell, dass ein Transkriptionssystem Sprecher sauber trennt. Es reicht nicht, nur Text zu liefern. Wenn unklar bleibt, wer was gesagt hat, wird das Transkript inhaltlich schwer nutzbar und muss aufwendig manuell korrigiert werden. Dass selbst klar unterschiedliche Stimmen (männlich/weiblich) nicht zuverlässig erkannt werden, ist für ein kostenpflichtiges Tool in dieser Kategorie nicht akzeptabel. Ein weiteres Problem ist, dass das System bei nicht verstandenen Passagen eigenständig Wörter „modelliert“ und dadurch teilweise sinnlose oder falsche Inhalte erzeugt. Das kommt zwar seltener vor und lässt sich korrigieren, ist aber dennoch störend. Der entscheidende Schwachpunkt bleibt jedoch die mangelnde Sprechertrennung. Ich würde mir hier dringend Verbesserungen wünschen: – zuverlässige Unterscheidung von Sprechern – stabile Zuordnung der Aussagen zu den jeweiligen Personen – insgesamt präzisere Verarbeitung von Dialogen Solange nicht klar erkennbar ist, wer im Gespräch spricht, ist das Tool für professionelle Transkriptionen nur eingeschränkt brauchbar. Ich hoffe, dass dieser Punkt in zukünftigen Updates ernsthaft überarbeitet wird.

This app works so well. Even when I had an issue, the customer service was top notch! It’s an example of how EVERY company should operate. I use this app more than a lot and the summary feature is also excellent.

I need help hearing, not because I have bad hearing, but because I need slight help with translating stuff from Spanish to English, so I was wondering if I could use this to put down what the teacher was saying, what did it put down? Absolutely nothing, just some words I’m assuming it put down out of nowhere

Purchased subscription and unable to access the app at all. Support doesn’t help and claims they don’t issue refunds it’s APPLE’S issue. Out of 119.99 dollars with no app access or support from customer support from Transkriptor nor APPLE. DO NOT BUY! SCAM

Recent update kills battery
The real-time transcription is killing my battery life on my phone. Also, it seems that after the recording is done, I still have an active microphone icon in my Dynamic Island until I kill the app. Please make real-time transcription an option, perhaps a toggle? I used to use this app with no battery problems and am now finding that I need to record in the Voice Memos app and share with Transkriptor, since Voice Memos is still battery-light.
UI needs work. Multi-Language transcriptions good
Only one that supports German English and Dutch. Not a very smart system though, AI data isn’t carried over between transcriptions (doesn’t automatically recognise my voice 🙄) and the UI requires lots of clicking for stamdard actions. Also annoying is that voice recordings are not marked as transcribed, only one example of how it’s hard to manage the files in the system. Work on the UI, team!
Great productivity app for authors
I use Transkriptor for reading and transcribing old handwritten journals for a book project. Transcriptions are accurate. It creates an AI structured summary that is super helpful in organizing lots of material. Love it.
What free trial?!! False advertising
There was a 7-day free trial, and I canceled it within the first 30 minutes. They’re still billing me for a full month. This is 100% false advertising & poor customer service.

This is good for 2022 standards, mid for today’s standards. Plus it does not let you transcribe long files (yes I used the free premium trial but it would still only transcribe 6 minutes of my 60 minute long recording)
Funktioniert gut
Die App funktioniert gut, hat alles verstanden und richtig transkribiert. Man konnte es sogar in eine andere Sprache übersetzen lassen. Leider ist es zeitlich begrenzt und man muss, für längere Audio Dateien, Geld zahlen.

I just realized that they have been charging me, I tried to cancel and it sends you to the apple subscription page but they are not listed to be able to cancel! I want a refund for my charges and correct this cancellation function.

Good transcriptions are now mediocre at best
I was using this to transcribe Spanish audio for practice. When u first started using it the transcriptions were pretty good. But then they changed from general “Spanish” transcriptions to regional/dialect variants and it’s been awful ever since. I’m guessing they switched whatever LLM they were using to something more affordable and to try and make it better they train it by region? I don’t know but in any case I’ll be ending my subscription.
