Easy to Use
The app is great and easy to get use to. The hearing aids are as well. My first pair of hearing aids so I was nervous. The app is a great help.

Is not backward compatible! I have to replace my seven year old hearing aid that works perfectly!

Useless App
I opened my Bernafon app and it said I had to update to a new app. I did so and now the app won’t pair with my hearing aids. It’s totally useless
Good not Best
I had paid $$$$ for Phonac and was enjoying them (needing a little tweaking here or there) but the inflated price was the deterrent when I saw that Sam’s Club had Bernafon on sale for <$1700. That was the defining moment that I decided to return my Phonac (still being in the trial period). Things that I like about Bernafon: 1. PRICE 2. Small size 3. Bluetooth 4. Volume 5. Easy availability to see the hearing aid specialist at Sam’s Club. 6. Long battery life. Things I don’t like about Bernafon: 1. The crescent like tubes that sit just outside the ear curling up the natural shape of the ear, the pieces bothered me and I’m very sensitive to skin breakdown, so I removed them. 2. Now the audio pieces that are supposed to sit within the ear canal keep falling out no matter how many times I put them back in. I talked to the Hearing specialist at Sam’s Club thinking I might just need a larger tip, but she said no “they would feel like you have something stuffed down your ear” (she didn’t even allow me to try a different tip). 3. The phone must be within arm’s length in order for the caller to hear you. 4. Less than 30 feet before Bluetooth starts cutting off if you’re listening to music, book or receiving a phone call. 5. No sound adjustment button or taps to answer or end calls, phone must be in reach. 6. No TV Bluetooth option unless you put your phone near the TV or lecturer so you can hear it louder (but you can’t be too far away) 7. No spatial quality to determine where a noise is coming from. 8. When visiting at Sam’s Club it is SO NOISY there that it is truly hard to even hear the specialist and there is no real privacy…gee-whiz, get a portable curtain! All in all, Bernafon works and will take care of mild hearing loss. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that Phonac has, but I guess you get what you pay for. I will be looking into other companies as I am still in my trial period.

Appen skulle indeholde en mulighed for at slå advarsler fra. Mine høreapparater skruer helt op og hyler og bipper ved konstante lyde eks en vandhane der løber, på trods af, at jeg på forhånd har dem indstillet på minus 3. Det er til at blive idiot af at høre på, og gør at jeg konstant må skrue op og ned når jeg kører i min ellers ret lydløse bil. Det er nu 3 sæt Bernafon, men bliver absolut det sidste.
Good app needs work
This app has a single problem. Is that it doesn’t work with voice over.which makes it a big problem for those sight loss or blind. Please fix this

Rubbish I’ve used the app fo several months and I am disappointed with it. Connection to my iPhone is an issue because it continually disconnects . Connecting with iPhone settings is more successful Come on Bernafon sort the app out. 2.4 out of 5 is not an impressive performance. John

Lacks precision Crude
The first thing is battery life indication. A joke. One day it says 70% then 24 hours later it’s 100% and the day after 20%. Not accurate. Next … you have a frequency equaliser for streaming but not for normal use … why ? If the facility is there then why can’t you adjust for normal listening? It is very basic. The only worthwhile functions are controlled left / right balance and the find me thing which is slow and sticky but works if you are sensible and patient.
App not working properly
The latest update is erratic. It loses its connection, changes the setting and is driving me nuts. I have deleted and reloaded the app but that does not work for long. Don’t use it if you can. New update. After several more deletes and reinstalls along with changing batteries twice the app finally settled down and worked properly. I will give it one more star.

Connects to only 1 apple device
The old app connected to my Iphone & IPad at the same time, the new one only connects to my IPhone. Why don’t developers teat the functionally of new apps?
Tveksam funktion
Inställning av volym till ”0” bekräftas med en signal som påminner om två skruvmejslar i öronen. Kan förmodligen ge ytterligare hörselskada. Fungerar för övrigt bra. Om föregående skribent har problemet att behöva ladda om appen ofta/varje dag har hen förmodligen en Samsung eller dylik Androidlur. Byt till Iphone så löser det sig…..

I recently started to use Bernafon. I previously had Oticon. I find Bernafon much superior and easy to manage. They definitely work for me.
Terrible ‘update’
The old app works brilliant and finds my Aids instantly when launched - always. But this new app very rarely finds them - and even when it does, it takes ages.. so I can’t quickly adjust the volume of my Aids like I could with the old app! - and even re-pairing the Aids and shutting down app and iPhone and restarting fails to find them… I had to uninstall this shocking app as I couldn’t use my Hearing Aids! … and I’m now very very worried as the old app will be discontinued from end of 2024. Unless this new app is fixed then you will render my Hearing Aids useless - a very unhappy customer. Why did you break something that was working perfectly? Sorry, but I would have given less than one star if I could as the app really is that bad.

This new app is awful. I have to reload every day to see my hearing aids. Wished I had not deleted the old app. Please improve it because it is very frustrating
New app
Old app worked brilliantly. New one wont recognise the left aid. Why oh why mess with something that worked. Why launch before app really ready. Fed up? Bernafon told me how to reinstall the ‘old’ app. This works perfectly!! My DH has Oticon aids and app and had problems with that combo. Bernafon and oticon are the same family but please dont lump their apps together ! Appreciate developer responding to my comments.

Can’t pair to my hearing aids.
The app I’ve had since I got my Bernafon Hearing Aids had a message that I needed to switch to the new app. Tried, now it says my Hearing Aids need to be updated. Costco Doesn’t carry them anymore and they said they can’t. Is this being done to force the sale of new Hearing Aids? This is not a good practice.

The new app is intermittent, sometimes it recognises the left ear hearing aid but not the left, I’ve carried out the usual procedures but to no avail. Interestingly using the iPhones accessibility program in my systems, the hearing aids are recognised & can be adjusted as required, therefore there is no need to us the Bernafon app!!
Seems like it works, but why change it?
I was able to pair my Bernaphon hearing “instruments” with the app easily. I can see no improvement in form or utility. In fact, it seems a bit dumber since it defaults to control both L&R at once v/ individually and there is less of an explainer page. So why a new app instead of an update? No explainer on that either
Won’t pair
After latest update Zerena 9 aids won’t pair. After contacting Bernafon about the issue they promptly addressed it with a patch and new update. All is working well now. Thanks
Changed to recommended iphone and still very poor
I had a great Samsung phone but the app worked very poorly, so changed my phone (on Bernafon recommendation) just to get functionality for the hearing aids. I now have an inferior phone and the app still doesn’t work properly. Keeps losing connection, failure to pair. One of the worst apps I’ve ever used.
