My favorite names are shadow and Oreo and this game is really really fun The only thing that would make it better is if you could choose the names
Kind of disappointed
I was really excited about this game because the playable ad was fun and cute but when I downloaded it and started playing it was just ad after ad after ad. 10 minutes into the game and I’ve already had to watch 10 ads just to be able to rescue the cats that were outside or the shelter.

Has potential but too expensive
This game is cute but it takes forever to do anything in the game. For example it’s $10,000 to upgrade something but you make $600 every 5 min. And there is nothing else to do while you try to get the money. But then it’s $2,000 to upgrade a cat. It just is way too slow to do anything in the game.
bots and new ownership are ruining the app
This app used to be fun. You used to be able to send home adopters, you use to be able to win competitions. They took away the feature to send adopters home, which really slows down game play and frustrates every player I’ve talked to. The game is also overrun with bots in the competitions so there is no way to win anymore. Even if you spend money on in app purchases you still can not beat the bots.

not only is it unlike the ads, it is PACKED with micro-transactions, taking up a good half of the icons that already overwhelm the screen. there is way too much going on, and it is all designed to make you watch as many ads as possible. these app “game” developers can go to hell.

Not enough shelters !! The developers need to make new shelters
Love this game love the concept ….BUT !!! After doing 4 shelters there are no new shelters and you are then. Stuck repeating the work you have already done which I feel is a waste of time and effort the developers need to create new shelters but I doubt that will happen as most of the reviews on here are for 3years + ago !! Don’t bother downloading this game you will be disappointed
Okay game
Cats are cute names and designs are cute but really not a fan of the change recently made where you can’t send visitors away. If they don’t match the cat’s personality I should be able to send them home. Game seems to be trying to get users to watch ads more often using the reroll for video option.

Not enough money for the shelter
I love this game so far and I just downloaded it, but one thing that’s making me a little angry is that stuff for the shelter is so expensive and I can’t buy anything or I’ll have no money. I’ll treat the cats, but then my money is gone.
Too many
There are too many cat rescues every time I try to upgrade something a cat 🐱 literally just shows up and is in danger and I HAVE TO HELP THEM.

In order to progress anywhere you have to watch a million ads. Prices to upgrade makes no sense and game takes for ever to earn money if you don’t watch ads. I downloaded and play the game for 2 days and felt like it was a waste of time.
Need new names
App is good, worth it to pay for ad free. Other than that really no purchases necessary. One of the best idle games out there because you can actually continue to progress without in game purchases. Mini games are mostly fun. Definitely need to add more pet names as the same few over and over become dull. Overall a good and cute game to pass the time
So upset…
I absolutely LOVE this game, definitely a 5 star game, but not after this. I play it daily and the events are competitive and so fun to play amongst yourself and your team. I have a lot of the extra expansions (including no ads, etc.) and while I was just playing, my game forced closed and upon reopening it I’m immediately faced with an ad… My game just completely restarted itself as if I just started playing today! I’ve lost absolutely EVERYTHING and i’m so sad. I have no idea what to do, i’ve played for months and i’ve gotten so far in the game. I’m so upset and at a total loss.. I’ve gotten so far I will not be playing any longer unless it’s fixed. The amount of time and money i’ve spent on this game, just for it to all get reset and lost. So disappointed 😭
I like it!
I really do enjoy the game I don’t have many complaints but I love playing the cat cafe events and things like that and they only last for 3 days. I would like if they lasted at least a week I’m employed and it’s hard to keep up sometimes. Other than that the game isn’t bad!
ADORE this game
This is the second time I’ve downloaded this game, I was a bit sad I couldn’t rescue all the cats passing by the shelter- I think the devs did an update to the word choice when you can’t take in a pet and it really helped!! I love that all the cats have different traits to match them with owners but my favorite is all the outfits that can be unlocked for all the feline friends

veryyyyyy repetitive, it’s called pet shelter but it’s only cats…dogs, hamsters, fish, etc exist as pets as well. so much can happen to the game but 🤷🏾♀️
Creepy cat show
An interesting game but a lot of ads to watch to make progress. Otherwise you can pretty much just play for a minute or two before you are waiting again. There is an event going on right now that pretty much has the cats as strippers and they are always “in the wrong costume” that the customer wants. Just super creepy. Make it a fashion show and maybe not individual “dances” for a customer on a big stage.

Costs don’t make sense
You have to pay thousands of dollars for an animal with some adoption fees on $50 which means you have to watch an absurd number of ads. Cute game, not worth it.
Love the game, too many ads
I do really like this game. It’s one of my favorite idle games I’ve ever played. But I already agree to watch ads sometimes to get additional money or speed upgrades up. I don’t want EVEN MORE ads that give me absolutely NO in game rewards on TOP of that!! I can’t even be in the app for longer than twenty seconds sometimes without an ad popping up when I press on an upgrade or something. It’s getting ridiculous and it’s reminding me of why I previously deleted this game LAST time I downloaded it.

I love the idea of this game, but I’d like to see it in a pc or gaming console version. The set up is nice, earning coins is a hassle because your “vault” can only hold so many coins (I think it’s like 5k before upgrading). I did buy some coins which don’t count toward the vault limit but you also can’t accrue any more coins since your balance exceeds the max limit. There’s a lot going on for such a small screen, I think something like this would do better as a game you could buy through Steam, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
Ruined by ads
I was really enjoying this game and there were no ads except for optional bonus things. As I progressed further to the second shelter, random ads began to interrupt gameplay often. I close the app each time now and will delete the game soon if this doesn’t change. The game has been ruined by this and is no longer enjoyable at all, constantly waiting for the next ad to interrupt what I am doing.

I love this game however I can’t keep enough coins I can’t upgrade my rooms anymore or complete anymore of my tasks due to no money

I have been playing this game and loved improving things and seeing the different cats and their names but now, before I could get to the next level it says it can’t download. Makes no sense.

Incredibly cute and good for an idle game. I do have to say I do get frequent lag issues especially when try to click the cats. Often times the ads that pop up black screen as well.

It’s super cute and fun until you get ad bombed about half way through the first shelter ads start popping up like crazy maybe like 30 seconds between ads. Also you can’t go back to previous shelters to check on them. They try to manipulate you into watching a million ads with the crying cat faces.

First, this game isn’t difficult to play at all. Paying for ad free is 100% the best thing to do, which I go into below. Once upon a time, this game was awesome. But now they’re bringing “exciting changes,” which means they’re going to ruin the game for everyone. They’ve already started by removing an awesome feature that let us get rid of potential adopters that didn’t match the bonus needs of our adoptees. And, they don’t care. At all. Despite the fact that everyone hates this change. Due to their cavalier attitude about this change, none of us can trust they won’t go further. Many of us have paid for completely ad free. It’s one of the best things about the game. Zero ads. You can collect gems, money, cats, bonuses, etc WITHOUT watching ads if you’ve paid for ad free. We do not trust the devs to remove any part of this feature. They refuse to go into detail about these “exciting changes” or give us any say through polls or questionnaires. Many of us have been playing this game for a long time, which means we’re going to be ignored to bring in new people and more money. Avoid the game. All new players are about to get screwed over.

Pop Up Ads Ruin It
It’s fun however the random pop up ads every 5 minutes ruin it. I understand watching ads in exchange for diamonds or money but the random pop up ads are so annoying and there are so many of them. They are CONSTANT. My opinion is: don’t waste your time unless you like pop up ads taking over so you can’t even play

This will be a long and detailed review. I’ve been playing this game for close to a year. Before, it had some good features and even though I found the events repetitive, I enjoyed playing. I would’ve given it 4/5 stars before. Now they’ve released a new update to this game (as of June 2026). The game is worse off than it was. They took away significant gameplay features like being able to send away potential adopters. Others on their discord page have expressed frustration over this feature - and to be honest, gameplay is now 5x more unenjoyable. In addition, they’ve refused for YEARS to add new shelters and new events to participate in either your teams. There are LOADS of suggestions about new events on their discord, but instead of adding newer features, they take some away. I have contacted support about this issue multiple times. I got excuses about how this is an exciting part of their “rebalance.” Multiple people have complained, so to me, that’s not exciting. After asking how to request features be added back 3x, they replied that my suggestion would be sent to the dev team. To me, the tone of the message (and the fact it was only one sentence) felt like they were frustrated that I kept asking, but obviously I can’t know for sure. A few things can be said; I am frustrated. Multiple people are frustrated. Taking away features without adding anything others have suggested for years is frustrating. This new update is utter trash and I hope they reverse some of their decisions. I want to love this game, but the lack of care from devs is off-putting.

I have been playing this game for many months, working my way through the prestige levels (level 51 at the moment), and have spent money on several upgrades. I appreciate that the developers regularly introduce new content and challenges, though they seem to long have overlooked balance for long-term players (maybe we are a minority). However, with the latest two updates it seems like this game is falling prey to greed, like so many others. Upgrades were already expensive, and introducing pricey season passes for minor cosmetic content wasn’t a great idea, but at least those are optional. Now, they have overhauled the core gameplay in a way that makes progress an absolute slog. Even with a fully upgraded vault and various bonuses I sometimes cannot get through treating all the cats, let alone upgrading anything. The prices for all the room and research upgrades have ballooned, the rewards, by comparison, have become so small as to be entirely pointless. It takes several days of regular gameplay to upgrade a single room, and that is just not fun anymore. Even after ploughing through most of the game content months ago, I had carried on playing, setting up my own challenges (e.g. adopt out X cats before moving to the next shelter, or always match cats to the best homes based on income increase, before the traits system was changed). Now I hardly feel the motivation to play, as it’s just not fun anymore, and I think many other players likely feel this way too. I think there are good aspects to the new system, I like the idea of the game being more centred around adoptions, it just needs some very serious rebalancing. If that happens, I’ll update this review. Until then, I sadly can’t recommend this game anymore :(
