Fabulously Phenomenal.
I love it I love it I love it so much I don’t write reviews often but this game is sooooooo fabulously phenomenal that it’s impossible not to spread the word of it’s absolutely amazing everything. Just get it. You won’t regret it. And the game needs more levels by the way that’s the only thing I don’t like.
Boring as can be
If it were anymore boring I’d fall asleep. You just put “a seed” in the ground & cut the branches not getting light. Uninstalled after 6 levels of the same boring crap. Can’t even change the type of tree.

Another old app
Apple Arcade you’ve done it again. Bravo. Given us a 3 star rated game which hasn’t been updated in six months. Come on! There are thousands of fantastic creators out there who make games worth playing. Give us long term content such as RPG games or point and click and ovx all the diff puzzle games etc. give us a varieth pls. PS Prune Deva this isn’t your fault. I’ve posted this comment as I’ve know way of letting them know. Take care now

Almost 5 Stars
This game is great and I really want to give it 5 stars. But sometimes the camera just decides to move on its own to show you you’ve completed a level, even as you’re clearly growing a tree to go for a bonus challenge. This “feature” has killed my trees dozens of times. If the developer adds a setting that turns off automatic camera movement, it’d be an easy 5 stars.
Sadistic and Not Zen
Basically you prune/deform/twist trees into unnatural poses by decapitating most of the limbs…talk about ‘kill your darlings’! This is a disturbing game, beware.
calming but gives no direction
i am not good at games would be nice with some type of tutorial because im a couple rounds in and still completely unsure of what my objective is or how to complete that objective. also the loading screen took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to get into the game
I Don’t Normally Write Reviews
…but this game is good enough to make me write one. Incredible emotional storytelling through deceptively simple and addictive gameplay. It’s a game where you grow trees, pruning them to make them expand in size, until they bloom when they hit the sunlight. That’s it. But how the game allows YOU to naturally figure out the mechanics and puzzle-solving is simply magical and immersive for a minimalistic puzzle game. You learn what to do with scarce instructions, but exploring the mechanics and understanding the game’s language is part of the enjoyment. For example, there’s an obstacle in the game that’s literally just a…giant red circle. But how the game presents it as a threat, as ominous, foreboding, is effective; even the plaintive, soothing music changes to an eerie track that elicits utter panic when your trees interact with it. It becomes even more terrifying once you become immersed and see what it does to your beautiful tree. :( The pruning aspect is the key function of the gameplay, and mastering it is simple, yet tricky. It involves timing, strategy, and forethought. You will spend the game swiping, watching the results, then swiping again. Like pruning in real life, it takes patience. But the dopamine that hits you when you reach the sunlight after all the manicured growth is great. After playing for awhile, you begin to realize that the game is telling you about how to find the light even when you’re cast in dark places. About removing parts of you that are holding you back, preventing YOUR growth…and how to avoid giant evil red orbs. Just see for yourself, it’s unlike any other phone game I’ve played. (Which admittedly, is not many)

Clever but messy
I don’t know if this is the fairest critique because of the nature of the game, but the naturalistic nature of the puzzle element means that you can do the right solution, but get the wrong result, because the tree decided to grow in a shonky way. It’s still an inherently fun and unique way to interact with a game. The aesthetics are also on point, and it has just enough levels to feel satisfied when reaching the end.

I have played through the first 3 groups of levels plus a couple more on an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I am also an artist and developer myself. Here are my thoughts: Aside from the problems I will explain below I think this could be a stellar work of interactive art and a very fun game to play. The mechanics are very intuitive and engaging. I find the growth of the tree to have just the right balance of chaotic uncooperativeness and suggestability. I find the visuals to be very beautiful and love the way they create an elegant and minimal-feeling but still detailed design. I am into printmaking so I particularly appreciate the theme of black block on paper with red accents. That said, there are a couple issues that make the game unenjoyable for me. Camera Movements The camera moves around a lot on it's own. I find that it is actually more of a challenge to make accurate cuts with my average size (for a male) fingers while the camera is wandering around than it is to get the tree to grow how I want it to. Keep in mind that I have effectively the biggest phone screen you can play this game on. I get that the camera is trying to keep you aware of where your tree is growing into, but when I set the camera to a certain spot to look at an area or make a cut, I don't want the camera moving around. I don't often express frustration outwardly, but the camera movement was so annoying that I found myself involuntarily exclaiming in frustration a couple times *per level* by the time I stopped playing. This problem alone was sufficiently game-breaking to prevent me from continuing to play. This is the primary reason for such a low rating. A less significant (but still annoying) complaint with the camera movement is that zooming and panning works in an unintuitive way. The play field does not anchor itself to the fingers performing the gestures, but instead it feels like the way your fingers move is merely a suggestion for how the camera moves. I sort of get the feeling that it is done this way to make the game feel more cinematic, but in my opinion it does not have this effect. I suggest adhering the camera movement more closely to the user's finger movement to make panning and zooming feel more controllable. Frame Rate My second major complaint is that the game runs at ~a cinematic~ 20-25 fps or so. I can only guess that this is intentional for the purposes of a cinematic feel due to the frame rate consistency and high computing power in all the devices I have played the game on. However, I find that it ends up just being distracting and unpleasant to look at. Part of the reason film-makers can get away with such a low frame rate is that their films have motion blur to smooth out the transitions between frames, which this game does not. Medium and fast moving objects like the saw blade and wind particles as well as faster camera pans and zooms are unpleasant to look at, making it feel like I am running the game on a dinosaur's smart phone. I feel that this issue significantly limits the game's artistic potential and makes the game somewhat unpleasant to play. I would certainly give this game a 5 star rating if all the issues above are addressed. I hope to be able to change my review for the better soon. Keep up the good work! c:

Make it landscape or portrait but don’t let it just switch mid-game because the hand holding my phone phoned. If not for that happening on my commute multiple times, I would give it a 5.
Good idea, bad implementation
The idea is very good but the game feels very janky, with bad frame rate. The tree growth also doesn't feels realistic, the branch attachment constantly changing height.
Wish I read the reviews first
I absolutely loved this game and played all of the way through in less than two hours. This stunning game is like any other. At the end, I genuinely felt a bit of melancholy, what now? It’s over? I played it on iPhone and I might re-play it on iPad again sometime. The story, the simply but beautiful visuals, the actual puzzle play: love and melancholy. From a video game. Wild.
Wow
I have played this all the way through 3 times now. I have never done that with any mobile game. I have dreams about this beautiful app. I want to prune every tree I see in the wild. I’m obsessed. I want more!
Meh
Gameplay is short and the game has a lot of difficulty with scrolling around. Not very many levels and very difficult to change between scrolling and cutting the tree. There should be more levels with smoother gameplay and better directions. You have to figure out how to play pretty much on your own after the first two levels. Also crashed multiple times during the hour I was playing
Lacks content
Love the game but it’s just lacking content. Didn’t take me long to work through the levels the first time and then again for the “alternative” objective. Now the game is just sitting there not even getting open which is a shame. I enjoyed the game but there needs to be more levels
Nice game but so laggy
Very choppy/laggy/poor frame rate. Currently not enjoyable and would probably wait until it’s fixed before playing. Even on the m1 iPad Pro
Good but not enough content
This is a great game. Can be very relaxing and zen. But there’s not much there, maybe a little bit more than 40 levels. I finished it completely in 2 hours. Doesn’t seem worth the $4.99 or the Apple Arcade subscription either. Hoping to see more levels soon so I can continue

Why is this game so short? This could’ve been the most epic game I’ve ever played honestly.
This is a game that once I started playing I did not want to stop it was one giant meditation. It was really nice and peaceful to watch the plant grow as you prune it I loved the idea of this game it’s great for people who love nature and life and growth. The bad thing about this game is that there is only three or four sections of levels and that’s it. If I paid for this game directly I would’ve been so upset I would’ve asked for a refund because I got less than 24 hours worth of play from it I completed the game in about an hour maybe an hour and a half and I could have played this game endlessly for hundreds of levels! I like the music but not the wind sounds those stress me out. I’m going to have to uninstall it at least four stars because of that, but if they ever decide to add a bunch of levels I will happily pay for it directly instead of just the Apple Arcade + version to support the developers directly. This game has so much potential to grow, get it? and I would love to see hundreds and hundreds of levels and endless gameplay , just like a plant grows forever the game should go forever. there should be an easy way to make a variable version of the levels even like randomize the levels or a random level feature perhaps? Please do if you can I would gladly pay for this game as it’s literally my favourite cell phone game arcade style that I have ever played in my life way better than journey or the scarf game!!!
Great game but needs a little optimization
Great game, but the plant animation feels glitchy (seems to be running not smooth 30fps as opposed to 60?). It’s distracting.
Disappointing ending
Game has a remarkable lack of direction and while fun and challenging ends with a whimper instead of a satisfying conclusion. It’s especially true of the blue flowers which is a secondary goal on several levels that isn’t obvious in the least. I went back and redid every level until I got all the blue flowers as well and recompleted the last level. It led to the conclusion which I won’t spoil except it’s fairly lame.

Im only on the 3rd world and the game is just so soothing listening to the flowers come up and i actually feel scared when it hits the red circle lol

Different & Amazing!
I’m usually into really hard/fast word games, or fast and/or complex legit puzzle games… I can’t remember how this game came across my search, but the aesthetic and mysterious look of it is what grabbed me and had me download it. Boy, this game didn’t disappoint! It’s a bit different and it took me a little getting used to, but I absolutely LOVE this game! The cherry on top is that you get a great screenshot of your bloom at the end of each level, if you choose to take one. I’ve used a couple as my iPad wallpaper bc it has an abstract look with neutral colors with simplicity to boot! If you’re looking for something fun, relaxing and unique/different, I recommend downloading this game and giving it a shot! 🩶
Fun, but needs more levels and challenges
I like the game but I beat it quickly. I also can’t figure out why some levels have blue diamonds and others don’t, it seems to be trying to get me to play those levels but reaching blue stars doesn’t do anything.
Fun for 2 hrs
Played through the entire game and bonus lvls in 2 hours. Super fun but not for long. Could be a great game if they added more lvls.

Nice
It’s a very nice change to fast paced game and if you like trees then I think you would like this. However I could see it getting a bit boring after a while. The sound design is very nice and so is the visuals, it’s quite simplistic but pretty. All in all, 4 stars.
What’s different?
Seems exactly the same as the previous game, or is it just me… Had recently been playing the original release, to brush up, expecting this to be different, e.g. performance, graphics. I can’t see a difference at all bar the + to the game title. Disappointing in my opinion.
