Incident Claim , quick and easy
I had twice of incident where I wasn’t at fault . I am glad that I choose GIO Comprehensive Insurance , very quick, easy and fast response for my both claims , the service was very good . Thank you .
More bugs than a termite nest
Get your devs to check error logs! I have to sign in three times to perform three functions. This app freezes more than any other app I have used, bar none.
Annoying
App is usually simple to work with. However, had to analyse photos on my phone to write on a claim, app would constantly log me out and not save any of my progress. This is a very poor feature as claims can take a long time to write!!! Was out of the app for less than a minute each time. Policy is also under maintenance a lot, and i cannot update my insurance or pay for it. Very frustrating.

Web chat option really poor!
The web chat option is a joke!!! The amount of times it has timed out or automatically signed me out of the web chat conversation with an agent is beyond ridiculous, I’ve tried 5 times. You can’t switch apps to search for claim numbers etc that they ask you for without it signing you out and sometimes it just feels like doing it on its own. I’ve been trying to extend my hire car on a claim only for the ‘extend hire car’ menu to give you no option to do so and other claims not even have the option to organise one. After spending over 30min on hold waiting to speak to someone via phone I’m constantly told that all this can be done via the app … somethings got to give.

Excellent car insurance company that fully guides you through a step-by-step process and specifies your intended purposes for the type of insurance policy and its usages; on top of that, it helps you expedite your insurance policy swiftly.
Stupid insurance
For small repair they are taking 2 months process don’t deal with this insurance don’t waste the time I don’t know Australian government what’s doing

Every time the app is updated, existing policy details are removed. Tried adding the policy back but ulit just fails and errors out

Incredibly frustrating trying to communicate with GIO about a claim. The chat in this app always cuts off mid-conversation. Back to the phone and waiting 30 minutes on hold.
Paid Renewal option doesn’t work
I tried the Paid Renewal option on both my policies and just get an error saying “Something’s gone wrong” on the email document page.

No lube before I get F&$@ed
Just got my car insurance renewal, gone up by $400, only way to reduce it is increase the excess and drive less, and drop the extras. Better option is move on and get it all for less with another insurance company

Love the app, very slick - pretty seamless and easy to navigate. Picked my insurance policy straight away.
App times out
When I’m in the middle of a chat with their staff it logs out as the app tells me it’s been open too long. Never mind that I’m trying to arrange some support for my repairs.

I do not exist
I have multiple policies but when I check for details on 1 policy not listed I receive the curious message that I basically do not exist with the identification details even though they are the details on my policies. great attention to detail 😡
Forget it
Policies continual locking out. No update on claims. Unable to update rental car status. Unable to lodge issues with repairer. Unable locate repairers in suburbs where plenty of repairer are and continual increases to policies of 24%.
