Amazing but it’s missing essentials
I love this app, and I use it all of the time to make songs and cover songs. though, there are some things that it needs to be better. first of all, there are a lack of instruments, especially when it comes to brass and synth. as a brass player myself, there are more brass instruments other than trumpet, trombone, french horn, and tuba. there is also the euphonium (my main instrument), the alto horn, flugelhorn, cimbasso, and others. about synth, i feel like there isn’t enough, despite the ones there. on another note, some instruments sound horrible and don’t fit into any song. take the didgeridoo for example. it sounds like an elephant burping as it’s vomiting… furthermore, WE NEED SWING RYTHEM. it’s so annoying because i cant make jazz music without making every single tied 8th note a quarter and an 8th in a triplet. please, add swing rhythm. also, please revert the change you made to where songs that are put into the “completed” section aren’t able to be edited until you unlock them. or at least, make another file where you can put songs that you actually want to work on, but don’t get lost in the sea of the MY_MUSIC###s that is the “working” section. it would make organizing so much easier. and don’t talk to me about changing the file name of a song, because you can only put one single song into a file and it’s so annoying.

よく使わせていただいています。アプデ後、エクスポートしようと操作すると、保存エラーが出て、一切エクスポートできなくなってしまいました。これではこのアプリを使う必要性がないです。早急に対応お願いします。

it straight up took me like idk 30 minutes for like four measures, because the notes commonly go to the wrong note, and undoing unselects whatever your on, and there a lot of other things that make it only 3 starts

Fix Russian translation typos please!
Great app, but Russian names of instruments have bugs: "СтрунЫНй ансамбль" -> typo, change to "Струнный ансамбль". "ИнверсированныЙ тарелка" -> change to "Инвертированная тарелка". Viola is named "Виолончель", and Cello is named "Челло". Please change to: Viola = "Альт", Cello = "Виолончель". Thank you!
音を変えないで
同じ楽器なのに今回のアプデで音質や音の大きさが変わってしまい、既存曲の雰囲気が大きく変わってしまった。 楽器を増やすならいいが、既存の楽器をあたかも別の楽器みたいにしないで欲しい。 これではオリジナル曲がアレンジ曲みたいになってしまいます。 戻してください。 鍵盤の光る位置も音とかなりずれています。
Codas, segnos, etc.
Good for basic notation, but playback logic is very limited. The app supports D.C., D.S., Segno, and Coda symbols visually, but does not support “To Coda” or “al Coda” behavior. This makes common forms like D.C. al Coda impossible to play back correctly. This isn’t a music theory issue, it’s a software limitation. If you’re writing anything beyond simple repeats, playback will not follow standard notation rules. Fine for beginners, but not suitable for more advanced scores.

I really enjoy this app but my only gripe is how limited the midi instruments because after that, you have very little instruments to use. It’s also because I like using all of the instruments but can’t put them into one song because of the limit.
A problem
Although this app has lots of capability, it is not intuitive to use. Actually quite clunky by today’s standards. But I have a specific problem using it on my iPad. It refuses to enter notes on the staff, regardless of whether I use a mouse, Apple Pencil, or finger. Just unresponsive. And I can’t find any help anywhere in the app. And I can’t reach the developer. Frustrating.
What happened in 2025?
I used to use this app all the time up to about early 2024, and then it would’ve been a 5/5 stars, when I stopped for a little bit. I came back very recently to find that I could not download my compositions as MIDI files and that the Concert Hall tab was broken (whenever you click on a song, it just appears as untitled and has no music in it). I did some digging and apparently there are some weird restructuring updates. I’ve also realized that they have removed the original soundfonts and the option to change soundfonts, which I liked better overall compared to the new sounds. I’ve also noticed more ads, which was very annoying when I was trying to navigate the cloud and my files to find out what the MIDI strangeness was. Why did you remove the ability to download files as MIDI and the Concert Hall tab (which I used to access files on different devices and to see others’ music). It seems that Future Sculptor is just removing features at this point. If the developers see this, I would like a response explaining the MIDI sotuation an how I could download my files in that format.

曲を作っていたらデータが消えます。(例えば、ピアノ楽譜を作っていたとしたら、左手のパートだけが完全にデータがなかったものとされています。)作曲アプリなのにこんな状態では、作曲どころではありません。1つの楽器だけを打ち込みたい場合はおすすめできますが、いくつかの楽器を使って作曲をしたい！という方にはオススメできません。

It’s alright
I feel it’s a nice app especially if you want to get into making sheet music but it get very annoying for me to match the pitch of my IRL trombone and the digital one and it confuses me so much I like it but it could use some tutorials for trombone notes, and slurs/gliss
Amazing and fun
This app is a great way to make and experiment with sounds and music, but like some other ratings I’ve seen, it would be nice to have pre-made songs and swing notes. And also, I wish you could stack modifiers like staccato and other things, but other than that, it’s perfect! :)

It’s great for phone, but when I push a topic to either play it or add notes, the rest of the options disappear, also it will not let me add beam notes, I also recommend to add more interments (especially in the percussion section)

Different rhythmic styles?
I’ve really enjoyed using Maestro for composing and arranging for fun. It’s intuitive, versatile, and entertaining. However, when I try to compose jazz pieces that are in swing time, it sounds like Latin drive or just regular since there is no option to change whether the composition has a swing-time feel or not. Swing is a fundamental part of jazz and many other styles, and not being able to change the rhythmic style, specifically to swing, makes it difficult to compose jazz pieces. Please make it so that you can change the way the music flows!
譜面を上げる時に音が出なくなった。
楽譜を制作してる時に1曲終えた後にまとめて1曲分以上の音符を7段分上げて再生すると「奏法を学習しています…」は出るけどちょっと長くて終わったと思いきや音が出なくなってしまいました。巻き戻ししても治らず再起動かけましたが音が出ず(何回も繰り返したが音が出なかった)他の曲を流しても音は出なかったので致命的なバグかと思いますので即座に修正お願いします。
Nice app, but limited playback ability
This is a well-designed app for jotting down a melody. I think it is better suited for classical music than it is for jazz, though. During playback, for example, I could not find any way to specify swing rhythm, which is essential for many jazz pieces. It only plays straight eighth notes, which is a big shortcoming.
What could be better but still a good app
I use this all the time, like literally, but i have some things that i think would be good for it. For example, i can only add 3 tremolos when i might need double or single, or the fact i cant make the tempo swing, thats about it. or small stuff, like i don’t want to notate a staccatissimo, i want to notate an accent with a staccato. other then that, i love the app.

Convenient, but limited variety
I love this app and use it all the time. It’s a very convenient way to quickly write music and check for mistakes. The only drawback is that there’s only so many options for different instruments, mainly percussion. If there were more options for percussion like cymbals, snare, tambourine, etc, that would help out a lot. But overall, amazing app.

Needed help and it didn’t really help
I really do like the app but some reason the beamed not didn’t work and I really need it so I went to the help symbol and it gave directions on how to use the beamed notes so I did it and it didn’t work

So far looks useful
Mostly intuitive user interface, that said I can’t seem to find an option for setting a piece of music to have “swing eighths”. This makes it hard for me to hear if I’ve notated the correct rhythm when playing back the music I’ve entered.

Great app but just a few suggestions
Don’t get me wrong but this app is great but it’s missing a few features I’d love to see added. First, where’s Euphonium? This is missing, now I know you could just use tuba but please add Euphonium it’ll make making music easier for me. Second, transposing isn’t accurate I’d say, it’s not that important but just fix it a bit. Lastly how about a feature where you could get pre-made sheet music, like a woodwind quartet or an orchestra or maybe a pre-made song, that would make me happy. That’s all I’m asking for, this shouldn’t be a lot for the app, and it’s just some simple quality of life changes that would make the app better.
