The best!
I got this a couple years ago. I LOVE this thing. I can speak through it, change colors for the night light, love the orbit, the music, add my own audio. If you’re looking for a good light with some added features, spend the money.

Generally decent but there’s some weird glitches with the routines sometimes.
App Lets the product down
The device is great but severely let down by the app. The app makes me manually reconnect the device every night as it’s been removed the app. Therefore all of my routines/favourites have been removed.
Good product
I like that I can work it from my phone and the range of sounds are good. I did think it had a cry sensor which is doesn’t, and also needs plugged in a lot to charge and don’t like it charging overnight

Dynamic Nightlight
This app is great for controlling my Vetch night light and helping put my newborn to sleep. Many color options and the free music content is helpful for our sleep routine. I just wish I could set the timer for a shorter period than 30 mins and that the volume and, even better if the light dimness would progressively decrease with the timer.
Bluetooth Complicated
I have the VHush soother, I wish that you could do the play your own music through the app because connecting just to the phone to play your own audio has only worked for me with a iPhone device and cannot get a android of any sort to connect because it asks to have it connect via app so you can’t just use it as speaker to play your child music they want. And I no longer have a device that will work currently.
Issues with it turning off randomly
I like all the functions and app control but on numerous occasions it shuts off off in the night and wakes my son
Instant improvement
This product instantly made our night routine easier. The lullaby audio had our toddler asleep in less than 10 minutes. User friendly, affordable, and mom approved!

Great app
I have been using the vtech soother for 2 years now and it works great. Really handy app, and timer settings. They have a great variety of sounds for white noise as well as the option to record your own. This feature isn’t the best though as I’ve recorded some brown noise off a YouTube video. It’s supposed to loop but it fades in when it replays . Other than that, it’s great. We love it
Worked decent before
Used to work decently on my iPhone 13 but can’t even open or use app anyone with my new iPhone 16 :(
Single parents only?
Pleased with the product up until my wife and I both tried to use the app, only to discover it can only pair with one of our phones at a time. Not ideal for pairs of loving parents (or including caregivers in the app access). Still a nice variety of stories, classical pieces, and children’s lullabies to choose from if you hold the access to the app. I hope there will be improvements to come regarding shared access.
Display brightness
I love that I can dim the brightness on the display and stop the temperature from appearing. The display brightness can be bothersome seeing that bright display in the middle of the night. Also love all the sound options too.
App is horrible
App won’t let me ever connect when I need to but it has also randomly connected to my phone through Bluetooth when listening to something and has woken up baby. If app is important to you get the hatch . Going to try to return.
Please Add Widgets and Shortcut support!
The app is great but it would be amazing if you could change to favourites via a widget on the Home Screen, or a Siri shortcut!
App needs work
The soother itself is not bad. My daughter likes the shapes on the ceiling. The app on the other hand is very frustrating and over complicated. The routines are annoying to update and turn on and off. Unless I’m missing something, once the start time of a routine passes, you can't edit it and restart. The Hatch is much more intuitive and easier to use. We will likely back to that.
Nice features but needs improvement
I really like the device and app, especially the routines you can make. Improvements need to be made on volume control in the routines. If you look at actions you have programmed the volume is shown in % but when you edit, you can not enter percent. You can only adjust a slide bar that jumps the volume in 10% increments, which is too coarse. In one instance 30% volume was a little low but 40% is too loud. I want to set to 35% or some other value in between but can’t. To press the volume buttons each time a routine starts is not convenient. Please add finer volume control.

I got the vhush plug for Christmas and absolutely love it. I have the hatch as well and I hate it. This thing is absolutely wonderful. I like the classical music and the sounds. My favorite happens to be the rain and I love listening to the classical music when I wake up
Terrible app
I want to like the product because I really enjoy all the features that it has (stories, lights, recording yourself, etc). However, it takes forever to make the app work. Every time I need to open it and close it several times until it finally works.
Good but could use some up grades
My daughter really likes it, but she is board of the same songs and stories. She would love it if there were more sound tracks to download.
Great product with frustrating app
The product is great and I love the features of the app but if I toggle to another app or lock my phone I alway have issue getting past the connection page. Very frustrating when you just want to make a quick change. Closing and reopening the app usually resolves the issue.
When it works
When the APP works ITS GREAT but this is my 2nd day using it and the app has stopped working multiple times. I’ve had to delete the app and reinstall just to change the sound . I love it because there are way more features compared to our Nest plus. The Nest doesn’t even have a “Shhh” sound (which is crazy) but the audio quality is nice and the app is never glitching . I’m not sure if I will return the vetch soother because the features are great. When I need to change the sound for my 4 month baby girl it’s a inconvenience.

Awful
I should have just paid the extra money to get the hatch sound machine. This app is so hard to use. It lags something awful when you try to change settings. I’ve had this almost a year and the soother disconnects from the app almost 1x a week. So I have to delete the app and redownload, and do the whole setup process again. Definitely not something you want to do while your child is crying in the middle of the night.
Works great
This works great for what it is. Has lots of public domain music and stories. Great functionality. Love the white noise options, it’s not obvious when they loop so it doesn’t get annoying. Only gripe would be UX within the app. Lots of thought was put into the aesthetic, but less time spent on usability. A few small quality of life updates would make a world of a difference. It’s not as straightforward as it could be to create routines, playlists and I wish the breathing light had more than 2 fixed frequency options. It’s just a sine wave, let me customize it. One of the rare apps were I wouldn’t mind paying for more content like music/stories/white noise sounds!
Can’t restart a routine & poor controls
Initial impression was that there is lots of control but actually when trying to use it in a real situation there are some really annoying issues. The main one being there is no way to restart a routine once you are passed the start time. We’ve bought the lamp for night training as our daughter started getting up I the night unsure if it was morning and eve had the lamp for over a week now and have only successfully managed 1or 2 nights to actually have the routine running. If you need to make a adjustment to the light colour or brightness once the routine starts for the night you have to stop the routine and there’s no way to make it restart. Unless you edit the time to 10mins in the future and mess up all your timings. Tonight I accidentally touched the light and stopped the routine as it wasn’t on child lock so another night where we’ll have to manually change the light in the morning. The time adjustment is really awkward to make small 5min changes. I just want to be able to type a time not move a slider as when I take my finger off the slider it jumps 5mins either way. The fine adjustment on the volume is non existent. We found it’s either off or too loud to be on the desire table. Even too loud when we moved it across the room. Not sure if this is an issue with the app or lamp itself. Similar issue with the light brightness. The slider jumps to about 10% of the bar and that’s as dim as it will go. Again we found it too bright to be next to the bed. One day we may manage to get it set right and hopefully it’ll do what we want but it’s been annoying so far.

Horrible app
Works 2% of the time. You need it to work most functions of the soother. If I would’ve known app had so many issues, never would’ve purchased baby soother.
I really love my new v tech soother machine
I just got my v tech soother machine in the mail and love all the built in functions with the app to utilize on my soother remotely. I do have one wish, the voice recording, I wish it was long enough to record myself singing a whole song to my baby vs 10-15 seconds it seems. There should be a built in setting to extend the length of recording time for personalized audio, and reading books to baby via recording. Since baby only hears mamas voice for 9 months in utero, prolonging mamas voice to put baby to sleep via songs or book readings, would be the ultimate soother.
Randomly shuts off
This is a nice app when it works. It crashes numerous times a night and the soother randomly shuts off white noise which is a huge inconvenience in the middle of the night because it of course wakes the baby; thus waking everyone up. I called the 800 number during regular business hours and they were closed. Junk.

Have to delete and reinstall nearly every week
As stated, I have to delete and reinstall this so frequently because it stops communicating with the soother. Not the best product and won’t recommend to friends.
Needs serious improvements
The app itself has wonderful potential, but there are lots of bug fixes that need implementing. From a huge company like V-Tech, you would expect more. In order to use the app, I must fully close it each time after use. Occasionally the soother device appears to reset itself, seemingly when the app updates. Another huge benefit would be the ability for more than one phone device to simultaneously connect to one soother, as I currently have to handle the controls when my husband wants to make any changes. The features of the app itself are excellent to control the soother, it is simply let down by the actual functionality - issues I deem easily fixed.

Soother
Recently purchased it a soother and I love it but the app stops working at some point and it gets fusterating having to delete and redownload the app. My baby can be peacefully asleep then it stops all of a sudden and disrupts her sleep. I hope it gets fixed cause the soother itself is great just needs to stop glitching and work properly.

So easy to control the device from my phone without entering the room and disturb the baby sleep. I can control the volume and the light. Highly recommend this product.

I don’t know how the app works, and ive been a software engineer for 10 years! too many issues… can’t edit the schedule. Keeps telling me to edit the action, and yet can’t esit the action because that button is stuck!
Too many glitches
It was working fine the first 2 weeks upon having it. However the app has stopped working and I cannot change the color of the night light or the brightness anymore. I have to continuously delete and redownload the app hoping it’ll work which is sometimes.
