This app gives you a lot of information that helps you to be in the know about the dangers happening in the fires and how fast the are growing in the directions they are going and the percentage of containment. Give to this Nonprofit Organization!
In a crisis
Got a fire about 10 miles from my house was trying to watch it in real time and was told to download this app. It still shows the fire 20 miles away 24 hours later not getting the information we need I don’t know what happened to this app, but it sure is. He has not been useful.
Love/Hate.
The Ross fire has been burning for a week now in North Texas. The first 4 days this app gave continuous updates and I would have given it a 5 star rating. The past 3 days the update still shows the same 87,127.5 acres with 31% containment. Other sources has updated the Ross fire to 92k area. I’ve actually upgraded and the airplanes shows up on the maps. The hot spots shows up on the maps. I wished it would show wind direction. We also have two fires less than 1.5 miles from or ranch this week as well. The app has been a better with 2 day fires. I feel it’s only as good as the information it’s given. However, is it actually worth having if it’s not going to be useful for what ever the reason?

Watch Duty has helped me, as a native Californian, keep track of what’s going on in my state. This app is informative, timely, and easy to use.
No access to pro
I payed for the pro version and was charged but never was given access. Tech support was not helpful. Do not pay for the additional features!
Need information on fire camps
I find the app to be kind of hard to navigate through. It goes to one page and stays there, and I can’t seem to bring it back.
Love The App
I’ve lived in the middle of some of the worst fires in the past and I’ve even been evacuated twice. The fires have devastated homes, properties and taken lives! I get alerts for several counties where my family and friends live. This app has helped calm my anxiety and ptsd a lot! Thank you for this app and for the firefighting personnel and technology!
no updating is happening without logging in
no alert are being sent without logging into . pointless app for getting text alert updating - they just want to track you
Life saver
I live in The Dalles, Oregon and summers are a tense time here. Almost instant Notifications mean a lot
Looks good on paper.
I was actually looking forward to trying this, but it feels less like a new wildfire app and more like a group project where half the team gave up and nobody checked that it actually worked - or whether the wildfire information was actually updated. It's not user friendly, requires a sign up just to access information, and then makes that information hard to find and not even reliably up to date. All the features in the world don't help if the basics don't work.
Huge fire season help
If you live in a rural area this is one of the best tools to have to track and respond to wildfires. We recently put out a 3 acre fire near our property that the alert came thru Watch Duty.

I had just gotten the app when a fire broke out and consumed almost 40k acres. It shows thru layers semi current hot spots. I’ve recommended it to friends.

This app is incredible. It provides several layers of accurate, real-time wildfire data to all of the U.S. West Coast. FOR FREE. It’s extremely handy to receive regional alerts and to be able to check all sorts of information within a few seconds; this is such a well-designed and easily accessible map app.
