New Member
I am a new member and had a bit of difficulty on my end getting everything set up. The people at swish were so helpful and kind and had a great response time! We even had to email numerous times back and forth and each time they responded very quickly. Excited to start using the app at a higher level! Thanks swish!
⚠️ WARNING: Fraudulent card charges after signup
During the sign-up process, a payment popup appeared that looked like part of the app’s normal checkout. I entered my debit card info there. Within a short time, fraudulent transactions showed up on that card. I immediately deleted my account, uninstalled the app, and had my bank cancel and reissue the card. I was told by someone using this app for group bookings that it’s supposed to be free for users — which makes the card popup during signup even more concerning. If it’s free, there’s no clear reason a card entry screen with no visible payment processor branding should appear at all during signup. I can’t say for certain how the charges are connected, but the timing was too close to ignore, and the popup did not look like a standard, trustworthy payment flow. Do not enter real card information into this app without serious caution. If you’ve already signed up, check your bank statements closely. I’ve reported this to my bank and to Apple.
Good, not great.
Our 75 member group really appreciated the app until they went for the money grab and priced their product three or four times what competitors charge for premium service. Bums me out because I like the app but not worth that price. Groups should be 25 per month and individual $1.00.
Like / hate relationship
Baited everyone in with a free app. The PB community supported them. Then they screw the community by adding fees. Now I can’t open the app without giving my phone number. Eff you. Peace out.
Unnecessary validation causes chaos
Please remove the validation step when entering scores that prevents scores submissions if any other court has scores posted n the next round!!!!!!!!! This limitation is totally unnecessary snd causes chaos when players can’t enter scores when a single court gets ahead of others. This prevents the entering of scores on slower courts for no reason and that inability to enter scores then spreads from one court to three, then five, then seven in subsequent rounds!!!!
Great for tournaments
I’ve watched this thing literally run the pickleball world cup and it went smooth as butter. It’s intuitive and does the job perfectly. Highly recommend!
Stay Far Away
They require you to sign up for a mandatory 6 month period. They know too many cancelations will happen so they make sure you are forced to pay and use them for half a year. If you have to force someone to stay with you, you have a bad product. Terrible software, worse company. Stay. Far. Away
Couple issues.
When trying to create a game, many times it won’t adapt to the times of the event. If it starts at 7:00 pm and I enter that as start time it won’t change it. The time just stays where it was. Also I don’t like that it calculates how many rounds you’re going to have. If I have 8 people playing, I want to have as many rounds as I want within my two hour time period. This app designates how many rounds you’re going to have based on the number of people. Even if you’re matched up with some of the same people it should allow the option to continue.
It was a good run
It’s a good app but a little buggy. I’ve reported it a few times but never resolved. I’m deleting the app. If anyone knows of an alternative or similar app, please let me know. For know, I googled a website that does similar things so will use it going forward.
Meh
It does what it says but it’s hard to navigate. Loading feels like dial-up. I’m waiting and waiting to the point that I don’t think it’s working and then it opens. Makes no sense. Fortunately for me the local club pays for the app if not for that I would delete the app.
Best app
Great app! Super easy to use!
Customer Service is non-responsive
Signed up for a city league that requires participants use swish app for ladder play and connecting to DUPR. However, Swish customer service is not responsive in dealing with a password mishap. Multiple contacts to customer service and crickets… not impressed!
very easy to use
now using to organise club round robin and far superior to the earlier apps used and paper model
Free to fee
Good luck Swish with that move. I found something else very quickly
Round Robin algorithm is messed up
Our pickleball club uses Swish for round robins with rotating partners, with 12-16 people. There are ALWAYS people we don’t end up playing at all, while we play with/against others multiple times, over the course of 6 games. This isn’t a difficult algorithm! Some of us have written to the company in the past, asking that the code be fixed, to no avail. Super annoying.
Swish is so helpful!
We love using this app!!
Rubbish would be an understatement
App doesn’t work half the time. Members can’t log in. Can’t start games. No emails generated for log in. CourtReserve integration doesn’t work. Half the time goes dealing with the stupid app. If you’ve built an app that need the user to watch hours of tutorials to see how to set up a simple round robin game… you’re doing it wrong. Absolutely no reason for a club to pay for this junk.
Message Notifications Would Help
My friends and I use this for pickleball. It is much better than having 4-6 texting groups, and getting them all mixed-up. I do wish I’d get some sort of audio alert when one of our group members responds to the messaging. Question: May some groups just play for fun, and NOT have those games report to DUPR? If this capability exits, I’m missing it.
Charging too much for app
They are going to start charging $4 per a month or $30 per a year and I don’t think it’s worth it if there’s other free apps out there doing the same thing for free. Also when you do the mixed partner RR it will pair the same two males for 4-5 out of 8 rounds. Going to try a different app to create games.
Not really random
Auto-generated round robins are a bit of a mess. Played last night with a total of 6 of us. Played with the same partner 3 times and never played with 2 of the people in our group. The round robin generator also had the same person slated to sit out 4 games in a row. Semi-useful app but needs some real updates to actually be a good time
So great
Love the Swish app! Makes organizing groups and leagues so easy!
Good luck on the pricing
Probably worth $1-$2 a month for the convenience of not having to use sheets and write down names to keep track. Not everyone has a dupr or wants to. Was ok while it lasted. I’ll stick to my bend pickleball sheets for running round robins.
No support
Developer never responds to support queries. Website refers users to useless general videos. No way to get answers about specific functions. Videos are all about humor, not info. No user manual.
Nice Premise
All in all we’ve had a good experience with this app. Although, when trying to create a Mixed Gender Rotating Partner Round Robin, the app won’t allow 24 participants (12 male,12 female). It may be a glitch but I’m unsure. When we’ve reached out to customer service, Emails go unanswered.
BEST PICKLEBALL APP!!!
This app is by far the best way to organize any pickleball play. It’s simple, easy to use, and reliable.
Goodbye Swish
It was fun. Decent app with limitations but no way anyone is getting every person in the playing group to pay for a monthly subscription. Good thing there are other options available
Terrible app
In simple words, just Horrible and unreliable
It’s alright
Search is very bad. Right now doesn’t even work. Needs more options to edit groups and games.
Best pickleball app there is!
Swish is definitely the most convenient and versatile pickleball app I’ve seen! It makes rec play so much more organized and easy and helps me meet more people to play with!
Pay wall for use now
I set up a rotating partner round robin events several times a month. I used the app to create the game and I just manually added players. The new paywall system for use is not going to work with us. I will just keep sheets printed in my bag. I know clubs are paying to use Swish. Make money on their back.
No support
Hard to know if this app is any good. I’m a club manager with some questions about functionality. Have tried their support email twice over the space of a week - still no reply.
Something I’ve been needing
Been hoping for something like this. Gotten super into pickleball but struggled to find people. This has been great for me
This App is a scam
I was using this free App for a month or two and then it required a fee to continue to use it, which I paid $29.99 annual fee. Then as I was entering players into a round robin tournament format, the App prevented me from adding more than 3 players unless I paid for an upgraded subscription that cost $79.99 per year. This was a total bait and switch. I immediately canceled my subscription and will never use this scam App again.
Beware
terrible ocustomer support. If you go from a Apple phone to an Andriod phone and your account gets corrupted due to security features. Good luck trying to send swish an email trying to get some help to update your account. And there is no way to eport your old data.
Great App!
Just finished hosting my first tournament using the Swish app. So helpful! Easy to use. Great support team. The Pickleball Palace will be using it all the time going forward.
Changing to subscription model
Not worth paying for for a casual group to play pickleball. Created barrier to inviting new people to come play. Would like a bare bones, one time fee or free option. Adamantly opposed to a subscription for the basic organizational features this app provides.
Works great for our team and weekly schedules
As the title says. Would love to see the option of creating recurring games.
Poor App
I normally do not have trouble using apps and this one is the exception. It does not let me enter information. It takes a day for a password reset email to come to me and by that time it has expired. I hate, hate this app
