Not working
It didn’t work when I tried to scan it.
Flash cards don’t load
I love the fact that you can do this and study from your phone or iPad so you don’t have to bring your note book everywhere. But I wish that the flash cards would pull more information from the notes you took and loaded faster.
The apps ok but you need to add something
So I think you should add like instead of the person writing the study cards it should be like you put your grade in and then you ask the app to give you some questions or information about how to do the math instead of write the work out and if your writing is slupy then you should add like the part when they understand the handwriting
scanning process needs work
i really enjoyed the idea of having all my notes available on my phone instead of digging through notebooks but the scanning process takes forever. it can’t seem to recognize the corner markers too well. also you should be able to change the color of the notebook icons so it can match whatever color you have.
Wow
I actually had zero clue this existed because I never really read the paper - TikTok told me and it’s my favourite thing lol market on TikTok! It’ll get its hype, this app is so amazing and organized, I love it.
Not operating correctly
I tried to scan my agenda and it says would you like to add it to your calendar and I say yes, but it doesn’t add it to my calendar or anything it’s just vanishes from existence I’ll try adding an assignment to my calendar or any of my subjects and it doesn’t work it does not show up. It just disappears from reality can you please fix this feature because I would like to add a reminders and assignments for myself, but I can’t do that if your app is not fully functional with kind regards a very busy middle school student.: (
1 scan
Amazing app, one update it needs for me is that when I scan a page, it works amazing, I go to scan a second page and it doesn’t work. After I scan 1 page it wont let me scan anything else. Im not sure why this happens but I just resort to using the camera feature(which works great for handouts)
Flashcards
If you like flashcards then yeah use this, but Im just using this to put my paper writing into one spot and it kinda sucks, the photos are bad and I can barely read what on the paper.

Well, it’s not bad and all but what I would like them to put as a feature where they could take all your bad writings and then just put them into a document or something like just write them and I would like them to then, with that writing in notes that you already took in your notebook, I wish they could transform them into quizzes so you could practice practice
love this app
This makes studying so much easier…all features are free and it can really help you stay organized in school. Note: (still would give 5 star rating bc it’s helped me alot in school) I’ve been having a hard time moving more than 5 cards to a new set…I’m not sure why but it would be nice to be able to move more cards.

I really wanted this to be what it advertised. However, the page is cut off on the right, Google Drive integration is horrible, and the app glitches when I try to “share pdf”.
Never let me scan
I couldn’t get the scanner to work and I even cleared 50% of my storage and it refused to let me even open the scan camera I tried everything looks nice but that needs to be fixed

This app didn’t even let me scan, it just when out of the app the millisecond I tried to scan anything.
Let down.
Its cool for organizing but you cant zoom in and it keeps deleting my notes at random.
Needs to be made for iPads
The app is great itself, but the only thing is that it’s all scrunched up into a phone sized rectangle in the middle of the iPad screen, making the app looking weird and ‘’please forgive me’’ ugly. I totally recommend and think it would make the app even better if this could be added. Thankyou
The scanning option doesn’t work
I wanted to digitalize my notes but when I tried to scan my notes, there was black strip on the side of my phone and it wouldn’t let me scan. If it was able to scan easily this would easily to be my favorite.
Why this new update made everything worse
firstly, there are so many features either missing or removed, especially like dragging folders or zooming in on things. also, the app is literally one of the slowest pieces of software i’ve ever used. like wth why does it take 3 minutes to load 30 flashcards. like come on 5 star😭 please work on making ur app bearable for people and work on actually needed features, rather than over complicating everything
Bring back the old app
This app was fantastic in my previous semesters but while trying to make the appearance more “appealing”, many features were ruined. First, you can no longer click and drag folders to organize them. Second, the app scans the paper so fast that all the words are blurry. Lastly, you can no longer zoom into your images for those blurry words. We want organization, zoom features, and the ability to select multiple scans at once. L update.
Disappointing Quality
This app would be incredibly useful if it was actually functional. I can see the intent behind it, but there are too many things wrong with it to justify using it as opposed to scanning everything with a different app. Most scans come out completely blurry, there’s no way to indicate different “groups” of pages within one notebook, and the automatic flashcards provide a blank card with a random sentence on the back. Overall, incredibly disappointing. As much as I love Five Star stationary products, I have to say this app is by far one of the worst study/notes apps out there. 0/10 recommend. It was almost a good idea. I highly recommend GeniusScan for saving notes (:
Used to be fairly good
With the newest update I’m finding that adjusting the order of my notecards is so far impossible. The images I insert no longer fit the “card”, and when you’re in study mode even less of that image shows up. This is a huge decrease of app functionality
App doesn’t load
I started school recently and need a good notebook for school, and I decided to buy a five star notebook. Very nice notebook itself but the app doesn’t seem to work all the time. When I open the app it doesn’t load and I had to delete the app and reinstall it for it to load so I could access my notes. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with my phone/wifi or the app itself.

Needs more
With the power of phones these days, this app needs a feature that takes my horrible and hard to read writing and makes it legible computer text instead. Filling in triangles on the page doesn’t seem to do anything of note. Writing dates in notes doesn’t seem to create anything in the calendar. This app could be a great tool for note taking, but it’s just not there yet.
New version unfortunately not as good
The new update may make it “look cool” but when the app won’t even load past the startup logo it’s kind of hard to say I like it.before the update everything worked amazing. Now I wish it would go back to that previous version.
Faulty
Scanning feature doesn’t work. Camera feature is also faulty; while it will take a photo of a document, even if you crop it and line up the lines to the page edges, the final document is still cropped and details are cut out. No offense but I feel like this app wasn’t put through enough testing/troubleshooting.
App not functional, notebook too expensive
I paid $12 for this notebook. And the app doesn’t even work. Very disappointing.
stuck on loading screen
ok so this app used to work really well for me and recently i wanted to start using it again since school is starting soon but when i tried using it it was stuck on the loading screen! is there any way to fix this please let me know because i really want to have digital copies of my notes!
Awful
I was really hoping this app would be good. I should’ve known from the reviews it wouldn’t be. I wanted to use it to keep my work notes on my phone so I didn’t have to pack a notebook around, but you can hardly see the scan on a phone. Even with clear, neat writing it’s next to impossible to read. I used flash like it recommended and everything. You can’t zoom and the words were blurry.

Scan brightness
When I scan the paper it makes it very bright and I can’t read the notes. The picture I take works fine but when the scan takes out the lines of the paper it also brightens the page to much and I can no longer see the notes.
