Parent connect is so helpful!
Recently set the family connect feature up for the new school year and it has been great as it has allowed me to see how my kid is doing. I’m keen to keep the momentum going and I know this will be helpful going forward. Would really recommend to any other parents.
App not working as should
App is not sending reminder notifications for anything. Times on tasks are completely different, time and date, from what I input. Progress bar not updating when sub tasks are checked off. Am I going to get my money back, or are yall gonna fix this?
Very helpful but one problem
This app helps me so much to keep track of exams because I would always forget when I had exams and show up without any studying. Since I’m a freshman I wanted to change that so I got this app and it genuinely helps me so much by reminding when I have exams and homework checks. I did add my classes just to help me remember my schedule and where the rooms are even though no electronics are allowed on my campus. But whenever I would add a class, the app put it to a completely different time. My history class is at 5:50 a.m.- 6:05 a.m. when I put it to 10:15-11:05 a.m. It’s not a huge problem for me but it does annoy me a bit. Plus it might be a bigger problem for other users and the classes will become more important to me as I go to college where electronics are allowed and in case I forget my schedule, so I would just look at my classes all messed up. Please fix this as soon as possible!! Besides that, it’s a really helpful app! :)
Not letting me edit my class
So I accidentally selected the wrong term and it wont let me re edit it.
The app is bugging
The app has been really glitchy lately. When I try to add a new class it won’t let me adjust the times. And for my previous classes I added the time for those but they keep changing and making everything unorganized and not on the proper spot. It’s just been happening recently because before the app was fine. Maybe it’s a bug? Hopefully the developers can fix it before the semester starts.
Love the new AI Feature
The new AI Scout feature is great for making study plans! It makes it way easier to know what to focus on and when. I’ve also been using the app to keep track of classes and deadlines, and it’s made staying organised so much easier.
Extremely inconvenient and buggy
This is one of the only apps I’ve found that allow you to add calendar events specifically as classes but unfortunately making these events is extremely complicated. When choosing times, days, and semesters, it is very buggy and will often show the wrong time on the calendar and other parts of the app. I went back to check multiple times that I had the right time inserted but I still have the same issue. This honestly defeats the purpose of the app and I was very disappointed as it looks very nice and has high ratings.

I wish they added more subjects! Like fine art(s), language, electives, practical art(s), or Health and P.E.
App changed my time zone
I put in manually my classes, which took a while. I put all the correct times and I am in my correct time zone which I need my classes to be in. So I don’t understand why this app took it upon themselves to change my time zone six hours behind. So now my classes started at like 5 AM instead of starting at like 10. This is super inconvenient and frustrating because this app is so hard to navigate and I can’t find support with this issue. I went to the Settings page and went to report the issue and they asked for a picture and I submitted a picture but I just got an AI automatic response. Saying thank you for reporting this issue not getting back to me on how I can fix this issue. I can’t find anywhere on the app to change my time zone. But even trying to find to change my time zone shouldn’t even be a thing because this shouldn’t have happened. Frustrating app wouldn’t recommend. And you have to pay to put in more than six tasks adds the cherry on top. Especially when I searched up for a completely schedule apps this was the first one recommend.
It’s ok
I like this app as it keeps up with the schedule;s, but I think that it should also track when you have half terms or summer\winter holidays, as it’s currently may half term and I am getting the notifications, I also think it should make notification sounds, and allow you to add you email\outlook and your homework apps such as sparks,Seneca and go 4 schools so then all of your things are in one place
Super useful for school
The new AI tool is actually really useful, I’m kind of lazy to type everything in one by one, but this is making things easier! I’ve been using MSL for like 4 years 🤩
Don’t waste your time
I was excited to use this app to help my kid structure classes, assignments & tests - but after waisting over 2 HOURS attempting to set up her class schedule, I finally bowed out! The format is wonderful, but forget trying to use the start/stop feature on classes. You must save the hour, minute, and meridiem changes individually - and you better get them right the first time. After taking the extra time to complete that task, the calendar won’t recognize your input. It displays random times of its choosing, and you register corrections. You can delete the class, re-input the data to start the ridiculous cycle over again to no avail. BONUS…..make sure you drive yourself crazy by trying to connect a parent account with the student. It’s maddening! Hey My Study Life: Get yourself some better programmers.
4 stars
This App is incredible! I wish I had earlier in the year lol! You won’t regret getting this app, especially because there are no surprise pop-up fees or subscriptions. It helps you visually see your assignments on a calendar, and reminds you when an assignment is almost due or has been flagged missing. The only thing I have to say is it does limit the amount of schoolwork you want keep track of, for example you can only have 6 assignments pending at once unless you pay. Otherwise, it’s a five star!
Making me pay
Ima keep this simple it only lets you have 6 tasks to free then you have to pay, im not doing that i promise you dont get this app
Not an easy app to navigate
I wish it were more editable. It’s not user friendly
Really helps with the kids
Thank you for introducing Family Connect. What a great idea. I put all the kids’ timetables in (so easy - you just scan them) and now I know where they are and what they need. As a divorced father; this makes such a difference. I don’t want to interfere but I do need to track what’s going on
Glitches defeat the entire purpose of the app
I’ve used this app for YEARS, and it was amazing. Now that the new school year is starting, I opened it up again and put in my schedule, assignments, and exams. Afterwards I took a look at the calendar and the times were all wrong for every one of my classes. (E.g. one classes was scheduled from 8:05-9:55am, but it shows up on the calendar as 8:05-6:15am on the computer app and 8:05-8:20 on my phone app, but when I go to edit it, it has the correct time, then goes back to the wrong times). The app is titled as a “student planner” so the times being jumbled defeats the entire purpose.
School Planner
I really like the app overall, however I do find it strange that you can’t manually put in a name for your classes? And there is not “Art” subject offered as a choice? But other than that I love it
Fixed Options for Subjects for Classes
I'm a college student and none of the subjects for the classes are even remotely similar to the classes I'm taking. So I have a subject that comes up before my class name does. It's really hard to keep track of all of my classes because the subjects don't correlate. I wish that there was an option where you could write your own.
Timetable
I’d want my timetable to show up on my calendar
Can’t live without it!
This app has changed the game for me. I was so unproductive before and now I’ve gone through GCSEs and Alevels and aced them because I was able to plan my studying effectively. Love it 🥳🥳
Not a reliable planner
Sure you can technically put classes into the planner, but adding a time and day to it is extremely buggy, and most useful things are blocked behind a paywall. Would be better off using pencil and paper.
Subject personalization
Everything is fine so far, even with me not having the premium of this app. My one only upset is that every time I try to change the color of my subject the app glitches then I am sent to the Home Screen of my device, every time.
This app is fishy
Firstly, I had some issues with the interface because some basic things they wanted me to pay for which I did not like. But it still served its purpose. So I created an account and then spent about 2 hours logging all of my assignments and exams and classes in, only for the app to kick me out a day later and won’t let me back in. I literally wrote down the password and username but it keeps telling me it’s wrong and then when I try to do the “forgot password” it keeps telling me internal error. This app is so dumb and I don’t even know why they kicked me out to begin with
Needs some tweaking
Overall useful but I would prefer to see tasks from all subjects on the same page to help manage time and planning. I also have to add tasks as a reminder to have a start and finish time, I don’t like tasks being overdue because I started but haven’t finished. Can we please have start and finish times in tasks Also widget on my phone does not show current status. I need to log back in to update. The widget for me is a constant reminder of what’s coming up so needs to be current or link to my other app Tiimo
Excellent app
It made my studying so efficient and I passed all my exams, I would be lost without it!
Greedy ahh ppl
Genuinely why am I paying for a study tool. I liked this app at first and set it up with my classes and it starts telling me 5 free tasks remaining? It’s a glorified calendar what could I possibly need to pay for. You can’t use the app how it’s intend to be used without paying. Absolutely stupid college kids are already broke enough don’t need to pay to have a tool to help not miss assignments 😂
Overall a great app! However some feedback
I’ve been using the app (mainly the web version but also the phone app) for around a year or so now. Personally I preferred V1 however I appreciate things need to evolve and change. The app has been absolutely amazing for me as a UK GCSE student during exams and now starting at college with organising my classes, homework, tests and so much more. The main reason why I prefer V1 is the calendar view. I get ‘new update, new interface’ however in V1 I loved how the calendar view (on the web version) took up almost the entire screen to give you an overview of your entire week to enable you to plan ahead, in the current version it only allows you to see 2 hours of your day while the time and date take up around half the height of the screen?! It makes it so infuriating to use compared to what we have before. Also it no longer lets us set 1 day holidays which is a bit annoying. However, although there are some areas to work on this is overall a really great app so thank you so much developers!
Subjects?
In in college and have classes that don’t need to be separate by subjects, at least give us the option to not add it, also ability to add a course number would be nice Something else, ability to add individual day lectures for a reoccurring class, like as an event or something
It’s fine but I miss the old version
As the title says. The old version was much more pleasing to the eye as well as more functional. I wish they released the old version, even if it’s just a website rather than an app.
JL
One of the hardest parts of parenting is knowing when to step in and when to step back. With two boys, there was always a fine line between giving them independence and discovering some last-minute homework, exam or after school activity by accident! Family Connect feels like it gets that balance right, keeping busy parents in the loop without hovering!
New update sucks!!!
I’ve been using this app since my freshmen year in college and it’s my last semester now. But this new update sucks! I lost my account and all my data of schedules, tasks, and exams already inputted into my account. The new user interface is horrible to use, especially with the ads and paid features. I’m so disappointed!!!!!
amazing app
i've used this for just under a year now, and i must say it's the best place for organising everything. i think i will continue to use this for as long as i am in education! however, i do think i prefer V1 better than the current one, so is there a way to use the first version on the application? i'm aware i can choose on the website, but i'd like it on my phone too.
Sometimes older is better
Like many others, I’ve used this app since 2022. I absolutely loved all of the features and how easy it was to add tasks, classes, & subjects. The look of the old dashboard was clean with pleasing colors. While I do like that the dashboard shows upcoming tasks and exams, a focus timer, and quick add task, everything else pales in comparison. Quick side note, importing data from the old dashboard completely messed up the calendar, subjects, classes, and took a while to fix. I highly recommend NOT to import, it is very time consuming and annoying to deal with. The new app has most of the same features for free (but an added premium subscription if you want “personalization”). This is mostly annoying when adding subjects, classes, & tasks. Adding repeating tasks, subtasks, quizzes, tests, essays, group projects, or reading are all premium features. You can’t see the room, building, time, or professor in the task description anymore. Adding (& editing) basic tasks is much harder now than in the previous version. You can’t edit anything in the dashboard. When in the tasks menu (under activities, which is an odd title), if you scroll down past 5 tasks, you can no longer see the selected task. You have to select a task then scroll all the way back up to the top to actually edit it, which was not the case in the old version. The calendar is also a downgrade. The color blocks are somewhat transparent and most colors are hard to see against the background. You also can’t see past 4 hours without scrolling on a monitor or 3 hours on a regular computer. Whereas before, you could see from 8AM to 6PM on the calendar, regardless of the chosen computer.
Small Request
User of the old version on desktop—bummed it’s gone, but that’s not why I’m writing this review. I can use the app, but please please please add Arts as a subject I think I felt my soul die when it wasn’t there 🙏
GREAT APP!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First and for most, I definitely recommend this to students young and old. The amount of free features and subscription features are fair, and there aren’t any pop-up adds literally begging for your money😅. I have tried many apps similar to this (that aren’t sketchy), and this is by far is the best app! Some claim to be “great organizers” and “the only planner you will ever need”, but, in my experience, they are either too organized to where it’s overwhelming, or it just doesn’t offer what I need. If it does, it’s usually has to be paid for. It’s a great app. BTW if you had the courage to read this long review, I appreciate it😂 hope this helps! To Developers, Thank you for taking the time to read this. I have notice what I suspect to be a bug in the app. The screen has frozen and before crashed mid-usage (exited on its own to my iPad’s Home Screen). Hopefully this can be fixed. If I could recommend one thing, please, it would be great if the Test feature could be unlocked for free. I feel like it is a very popular thing to use in planners, and no other apps do so or is as great as yours; it really would be awesome if that is possible. Amazing app, keep it running!
New update is greedy trash
I have used this since 2019 and had to stop last semester because of how bad the redesign is. Everything is beyond a paywall it is super buggy and completely different. I switched to todoist and I love that simple design more.
My study life
I have been using it for 3 years and it the best apps that I used, it helped me schedule my assignments, exams even reminded me if I forgot one of them before the deadline. But there is a tiny problem that the screen is not full covered on the iPad,I hope they fix it.
New ver VS old one
I have been using this app for 3 years as well. The new update, it’s transformed app to the same ones in the App Store. It’s look more hardly to understand where to click. New features for money is same as in the other apps. O loved this app for its old version, without subscriptions, without new UI, without million extra functionality. So actually, for me it’s more badly now.
Preferred Old version
Started using this app since Freshman year of college and it’s been super helpful, simple, and easy to use. The updates made this year have made it impossible to use. It’s all just overloaded and overwhelming.
Good app
This app is actually really helpful but the fact that u have to pay to use some apps is wild
Ruined
The app is might as well be unusable now with all the new updates.
Perfect Student Organiser
With so many things going on at school it’s hard to stay organised especially when you have so many tasks and exams in so many different subjects on all these different websites it’s hard to keep up on what you have to do where and when My study life is amazing in that you have it all in 1 place. Exams, assignments, revision as well as your timetable. I honestly love having an app on my phone that I can open and see absolutely everything I need to do as well as what classes I have and when On top of all this, it is synced up with the online version meaning when I’m doing school work on my laptop I can have all my tasks there. As well as having it on my phone for wherever I am This app is a must have for students especially if they were like me and struggling to keep up with so many things in so many places and websites. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that it doesn’t have a dark mode. However I was told that was being worked for an update
Good when it works
This app has been so helpful for me especially to log homework and my timetable, for me it was much easier then using a written diary but it suddenly logged me out and when I tried to log back in it said my account didn’t exist luckily I have done all my homework and have a paper copy of my timetable but if someone didn’t then they would of lost everything I tried to log back in multiple times and it just didn’t let me, very disappointing
Has potential
I am in grad school and this app was recommended by the school as a resource for staying organized. I figured I’d check it out and for the most part I think it could be useful, but I can’t get past the fact that there’s no option to add custom classes. I don’t have history and science and English etc. All of my classes are related to my specific degree. However, if there were an option to customize the classes using the name of the specific courses or even their course numbers rather than having to choose from the limited list of subjects then I think it could be very useful. For now, I’ll have to pass.
Language
Hi I love this app but please add a language option for classes!
they ruined it
i used this app for 7 years through high school and college. the recent update has made it unusable. the new design completely ruined a good thing. i was very sad to see how awful the interface is, as i was planning on using it this upcoming semester as i return to college. I am now using Coursicle and it’s fantastic!! Strongly recommend switching.
Does what it needs to mostly
I’ve been using this to plan and track A level revision and so far so good. However, when creating your own task it only gives the option of what date it’s due, rather than what time on what date, which would be extremely useful. Adding a time feature like the one available for class times scheduling would make it perfect.
First time using
Trying to add my classes but as soon as I click on one day, rather than multiple days the app crashes and closes. I’ve tried a few times and it just keeps closing down... Frustrating, apart from that it was going well.
Ugh
Hate new layout. I spend more time fixing things than being productive and efficient. Subjects are annoying. Tweaks are difficult and a lot of defaults are bloat and annoying to maneuver around. I am not interested in the AI. Why would I pay to help AND pay to help make that better using my data.
