Great for all the fam
Amazing our puppy is not here yet but I feel like I’ve been a dog owner before
App is broken
Downloaded the app hoping to jump right into dog training. After going through some of the questions, it asks me what breed my dog is. No breeds show up at all. Deleted, reinstalled, and same thing. No breeds showing up and I am unable to continue. Probably a great app but I wouldn’t know because the app is broken and won’t pull up the breed of ANY dog.
A little buggy!!
Enjoyed using the app but it’s showed that my dog has been 80% of its full size for 4 months now. Unless it’s due a massive growth spurt out of nowhere!
Was working great but now I don’t see anything
Was using this app to train my puppy and the lessons and content were great. I also subscribed for the year. Suddenly as of today, content seems to have disappeared and a lot of pages display nothing. Please look into this and fix it soon!
Good app and learnt a lot
The app is good, the lessons, FAQs all great. The walking information is awful and can never be relied on. Last week it was saying my 7 month old god needs 2 160 min walks, this week it says 2 25 min walks. This isn’t an isolated blip, but happens all the time. It does create doubt and makes you double check other info with other sources
Fun and Informative
What I like about this app is that you feel that both you and your puppy are in the journey together. The learning pathway easy to follow and if your furbaby needs some extra time on an activity or skill, another opportunity appears later on.
Freemium
I’m so tired of apps NEEDING a subscription service. It’s dumb and unnecessary. Make apps free again or at least just have a free trial limit where you can only access like three lessons a day, and not make it to where you get one free lesson and then have to pay. Spent more time making my account than I actually got to learn before it demanded my money. 🙄
Well informed
My puppy is quite easily responsive and this helps me to elevate and advance his training. There’s things I didn’t know(after having dogs for 50 years) that I wish I’d known before. Very pleased with the results so far.. from a very happy puppy mummy xxx
Not great for sharing
My husband downloaded this and paid for it. He got a family code for our puppy so I downloaded the app and entered the code. It then asked me for all her details again (except her name, which did pull through), and wanted me to pay for her training plan as well. It doesn’t track what training SHE has done we can each only see our own sessions. I’ve deleted it, now.
Inconsistent messaging from coaches
I like the structure of the app but have pretty much stopped using it after a ‘coach’ told me it was unrealistic to expect my puppy to stay alone at four months old and that it is like sending a toddler to college. That my puppy might not be able to be left alone until he is 10 months old! This flies in the face of all other training we have received and certified trainers have told me this is bananas. We have basically abandoned the app at this point. Some of the content we got through was good but I don’t really have confidence in the trainers, which was the main reason I went with the paid subscription.
5 stars
Easy to follow 5 stars
Doesn’t work.
It let me make an account but I can’t get past the “choose your breed” question. There are none to choose from.
App is not accurate
I was seeing if it took an 8month old puppy as an example and it only said that it is born December 2025, and that it’s only 5 years old please update this app
Nothing fancy
If I was going to continue to use the app, I would pay for the access to a trainer. The free version uses Ai, which is a huge turnoff. When did app style templates and quick tricks become the replacement for hard work? The app is similar to others I’ve used, ask a few introductory questions and build you a “customized” plan, I’d honestly find a different app or better yet, just find a human in your area.
Good concept, makes it stressful
Having a puppy is the most stressful experience, and this app made it anxiety inducing. Whilst the lessons and training ideas are great, there’s so much on there it says you should complete at different puppy stages you feel overwhelmed and anxious constantly that you’re not teaching your puppy enough. After 3 weeks of being so anxious and stressed out we decided to contact an actual dog trainer instead and have never looked back. There is so much information online and in all honestly a lot of it isn’t necessary!! Focus on the basics, and if there’s something you’re struggling with contact a dog trainer local to you instead.
Amazing!
As a first time dog owner this has just been a lifesaver. I have been able to learn so much before picking up our pup. Honestly so worth the subscription, very impressed 👏
Missing bred
My did is pure breed English Shepard. You have every version of Shepard in your list but English.
Great resource
Contains lots of great tutorials to help train your pup, and access to trainers also. Some trainers are AMAZING and others are bit lacklustre so it is a bit variable with who you get on the day, most are good though. The weekly updates seem to go a bit off the rails with older pups (eg my 26kg lab puppy being only 30% of their adult size apparently- no they are not called Clifford). Mostly great though and the tutorials really are the best bit
It’s ok I guess
If you don’t know anything about dogs or the basics it’s ok I’m on a free trial and everything I’ve found so far is basic and google would give you more info for free anything that’s worth reading is not covered in the 90 trial so I really don’t know if it’s worth it if you know the basics I was looking for more advanced training but with the trial I got this is as basic as it gets I you can actually find more on google for free on basic training if you don’t know how to train dogs and it would be more extensive I’m still looking to see what all a here but so far without paying for premium I’m not really impressed like I thought I would be but I’m also looking for more than sit and lay down I was hoping for other tactics to train all my dogs know sign language so this ain’t bad but definitely won’t be paying for a subscription if it’s not for anything but basic training
Utilisation of AI
With Ai being heavily implemented into the app but having so much to read, it feels like a missed opportunity not to have a form of text-speech. I struggle reading large amounts of text but I’m also aware of how important it is. If there was a feature that reads along the many many tips that would great!
Perfect for new dog parents
Just pawfect and easy to follow along. Always easier to keep up than catch up. Great app. Thank you 💐
Breed Choice Not Working
My husband and I both tried to download this app and select a breed. The app doesn’t recognize any breeds nor does it give options to choose from.
Pretty good
It was very helpful and easy
Wouldn’t work
Tried to get the sample box of dog treats they are running downloaded the app filled out the form every time you’d hit send itd pop up red saying couldn’t process at this time try again later.
Constant loop for nothing
I saw this app via a breeder website and thought I’d give it ago. Sadly I cannot comment on the stuff inside the app. Because for some unknown reason you cannot create an account. I have tried signing up using apple, google and typing on my own email address and it just says loads for a second and then takes you back to the first page if you like of the app sign up process. I even tried logging in as if I was an existing user in case it did create an account T behind the scenes, but nothing same thing happens. This tells me if it’s buggy before you begins it’ll be blooming buggy once you’re actually in the app and they’re taking your money left right and centre.
Great customer service, great app
Having bought a puppy from a reputable breeder I was given a pack of paperwork which included a years free access to this app. I couldn’t get it to work so emailed Zigzag customer services. Within 24 hours I was contacted by Lorna from Zigzag who after claryfying 2 small points granted me full access for the year without any problem. She was efficient and polite. Thank you Lorna. I have used the app since and it is easy to use and full of great advice and information. I would definitely recommend both the app and the organisation behind it.
Unusable
The app won't even let me sign in! It's just refreshing the same page. Ridiculous
MY DOG BIT ME
I’m sorry that I’m giving you this bad review but i have to… my dog nearly bit me… no it did bit me and wen you ask the AI dog thing, “How do I tech my dog to shake?”it said first encoreg my dog to give me his hand but with a treat in it. HOW am I supposed to encourage him to GIVE ME HIS HAND? AT LEAST PEASE give more INFORMATION about it! Other than that it’s pretty good 😀
Subscription error
I have been happily using this app since 27th May 2025 and paid my subscription of £29.99 for a year. There have been some updates to the app and I have now lost my subscription access and can only access the trial version. Please help, thanks.
Not so personalised
The app has been very useful in giving tips on training. My dog has definitely improved his behaviour in the past few months. However, what drew me to Zigzag was the idea of a personalised training schedule, particularly for rescue dogs with behaviour issues. I filled in various details about my dog, his name, gender, breed, the fact that he’s a rescue dog. But what Zigzag seems to have done is simply insert his name into some of the articles, but not take much else on board. Within the same article, different pronouns are used, even though it supposed knows he’s male. The training schedule has a lot of information aimed at new-born puppies from breeders, even though it knows he’s much older and came from a shelter. Still, my dog has made huge improvements and I’m sticking with Zigzag for now. But I’ve had to get through a lot of information about puppies and adolescents before I got to anything relevant. Some of it is useful to know anyway, some might not be useful until I get a 2nd dog.
Good
Great app
Not free
Downloaded because I thought I’d be able to do a decent amount for free. But turned out after 2 lessons you had to upgrade to premium. Quite disappointing.
Very helpful, worth subscription
I like this app a lot, it is full of information and advice. It’s great that you can ask simple questions to AI, but there is also the option to chat to a trainer when you need. I’ve found it helpful to be able to check what age/week our puppy is ready to try new things too. The only thing I really feel it is lacking is the option to sync two accounts, so two owners of one dog can share their progress without having to verbally update each other.
Great app use it sick of being asked to rate every 30 mins
App asking to like and rate tonkftern
A must have for new puppy owners
This app has been so helpful to me with my new puppy . They have a great team that respond very quickly and give good sound advice and really care about not just your puppy but also about you. I really love knowing they are right there to answer any questions or concerns I may have.
Brilliant App
Tells you everything
Idk

Pretty good
Review of app. Its a pretty good app I’ve been using it for a few weeks and everything’s going good, my dog is able to pick up the lessons pretty fast. Although I do have a corgi which is a very smart breed. Suggestions on improvement however it would be nice if you could have two different dogs on one account as I have a second dog I would like to train too. And maybe if there were more educational articles about general dog stuff that aren’t about training. Just so owners could learn about odd behaviours in dogs and signs they might be unhealthy. Also a weight loss/ loss program for people with overweight/ underweight pups could be cool About paying for the app Note you do have to pay to be able to use the app but you get a free trial. I wish the app just started out as a paid app instead of a subscription so you would know upfront that you have to pay as having it labeled as free is a bit misleading
Brilliant App
having a great time reading the articles which provide such insight into training of my border collie pup easy to use and articles are so easy to read
Everything you need to pay for
You have to pay for EVERYTHING Do not recommended.
Love it!!!
Brilliant and clear step by step ! I very much recommended to you!! 😁
Where’s my money?
I cancelled subscription after 3 days of free 7 day trial. On day 8 the took the the whole yearly subscription! Now trying to get refund from Apple.
