What people like
- Really helpful when stuck on puzzles
- Great for finding high scoring words
- Support team listens and fixes bugs
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Recent updates make it confusing and hard to use
- App closes itself to show ads
Best help ever!!
This is an excellent tool if you ever get stuck on a crossword puzzle or a word game that you’re playing. So many of the game companies want you to spend money to try to figure out a word and this solves all that.
Ads galore
If you like closing down apps because you can’t clear out of endless ads, then you will love this app. App itself is very good, however
Commercial’s
Stop all the commercials
Repeat
Too many of the games are same over and over. Will cancel when this subscription is over
Ads
These ads for Kalshi never close.
Help when you’re stuck
Great app really helpful
Disappointed
Too many ads
Need more space to put bad letters
Would like to be able to isolate more letters!!
Bad Ads
Too much ads and sometimes they are appropriate
Update Sucks
The update done yesterday, 6/26, messed up word finder. They are now in alphabetical order not in most likely to be right order. The little number in parentheses next to word is gone. It has ADS now too, ugh!!🤷🏼♀️
Noise
I do not enjoy being blasted by loud adds in the middle of my searches. I understand the need for ads, but could you lower the surprise volume
New update ruins the app
The new update ruined the functionality of the app and has more intrusive advertising, full screen and unavoidable ads
Update is Worse
I’ve been using this app for a while and liked it very much. The update makes it hard to use for anagrams. The screen jumps around and the keyboard disappears, and if you enter a wrong letter from your tray you have to start over, you can’t bring the cursor back to correct the mistake. The list of negative “improvements” goes on. It’s good for NYT games assistance and more, which earns a 4 star rating instead of 5.
Dislike Updated App
I used this app and found it very easy to use, visually simple, comfortable and useful. With this update the app is visually jumbled, confusing and very unappealing, taking a lot of work just to pick out what was once useful about it.
Ads
This would be perfect without the annoying adds. Consider adding an option for "ad-free" access.
Excellent Word Generator
My go-to word generator when I need help with a Words with Friends move.
Update is AWFUL
Update no longer displays the numbers of words remaining after each guess. Very disappointing
Not 100% lately
Recently, I’ve noticed that I can specify letters that I know are in the word, but I’m given options that don’t include all the letters I selected. Also, I always give the number of letters in the word, but am given options that are shorter and/or longer than the length I’m looking for. It makes it more difficult to quickly find the answer I’m looking for.
The changes are bad!
It was a great app until they changed it recently. Now it’s more cumbersome and finicky. Looking for something else.
A few bugs
The program still has a few bugs in it, such as it doesn’t always recognize the options selected. Sometimes it takes several tries. Also, the ads are inconvenient. Otherwise, it is a very useful tool when playing Words With Friends.
Great resource for puzzlers
Love this app! I puzzle every morning before I begin my day. When I get stuck on any of the NYT puzzles this app can help with hints but not give away the answer, unless that’s what you want. And when playing scrabble this app makes all the difference
Moronic update
Terrible recent update of the U/I Clearly done by someone/team that never uses the app and most certainly didn’t beta test this new design. Extra taps for everything, shockingly non-intuitive. Really bad job.
good helper
helps pretty well w puzzles
Why change a good thing
It used to be so easy to put your letters in and find a word. Then… the update happened. Too bad, it’s more difficult now.
New not improved
Sometimes things don’t need to change. This is not as user friendly as
Love!!!
I love Words with Freinds! I get Great points!!! My friends says they never seen that word but it fit for a bunch of points!! Couldn’t play so much without Wordfind!!!
Hate the new format
Don’t like the new format at all! 2x or 3x as many touches required. Please go back.
Sticky ad
Am enjoying your app. But could you please fix the Royal Kingdom ad that repeatedly won't “x” out? Thank you.
Latest
The latest Upgrade does not even look simpler. It looks as though it does less than the previous. Very frustrating when programmers changed something just to be different and do not appear to take into consideration the users.
Old one better
Miss the old version which was simpler to use
Great for word search
I’ve used this app for years. Easy to use with little to no ads. Always been super helpful. Highly recommend.
New Wordfinder Suxs
This new version is not user friendly. Why change to something new when it’s less efficient? Please bring back old version!!!
Constant ads
You can barely use this app for how much it closes to take you to another ad. It's obnoxious
Yuck
To many ads,, To long of ads!!
Great Customer Support
They changed the format a while back at it was awful. I inquired and told them the problems I was having. They listened. They fixed some things to make it usable, but after some time all bugs were fixed. Thank you.
Money grab game
Be aware, this game is continually trying to get you to purchase with real money. Says that it is a free game, but it makes it almost unplayable because their algorithm is set up to destroy your chances of winning unless you buy extras. Tons of ads, continually interrupting gameplay. overall, I would avoid this game.
Good Games, Super Buggy App
As the title says like the games but getting the app to work is impossible. I had been playing past mini crossword games and it was impossible to see what games I’d already played and the months/dates were super messed up.
Wordle dictionary doesn’t appear to be the same as the NYTimes?
Too many times lately I’ve been using this app and Wordle Bot (the NY Times AI bot) comes up with words which are not amongst Wordfinder’s solutions.
Very helpful.
Cool site.
Update is awful
I use the word finder. Just please leave the screen alone. Now to enter a new set of letters, I must tap in three (sometimes four) times. Why? Why must it move back and forth between views? Just to show your coding skills? Ugh. It was a great app because it was SIMPLE. No more. Now it’s like the gilded oval office. Ridiculously bloated.
Keyboard sticks
Not sure if I’m the only one who has this problem, but the keyboard is slow/unresponsive half the time. Like I have to tap a letter twice before it will input. Not ideal for timed games. Don’t think this is the app for me.
Adds
Why do I have to play stupid games to use your: (used to be great app??)
Awesome
Great app
“None” Words (❓)
A paid-for $$ app, that is now full of very annoying ads, and recommending “words” without meaning or definition.
Starts fine but ad intrusiveness grows over time
The functionality is good, but it seems like ver a brief period of time the ads for the Royal Match and other games. Get super long and intrusive.
Answers available too late in the day.
The answers to some puzzles aren’t available until early afternoon which is of no use to me when I do them early each morning.
