- Premium features do not work
Customer Support
The customer support system is very helpful and nice! I had some issues with purchasing a lifetime plan but the support team (Shoutout Saso aka The goat) helped walk me through it!
Horrible Customer Service
I got charged 200 for the subscription which I had already tried to cancel. I have made multiple requests to the developers for a refund and they have been of zero assistance.
Tons of bug
Bought premium but still wouldn’t let me use premium features, constantly crashes and tells me there is no internet connection even though all my other apps are fine. Stupid af (Ok they fixed it pretty fast so I changed my rating to a 4.) I really like the quizzes feature
Passage questions are broken
So in any review of questions that had a passage attach, you cannot reference the passage. Idk what the experiment or author intent was talking from a passage I read a month ago if I cannot reread the original passage!
Layout/functionality of app sucks
Think it’s great as supplemental practice, but unfortunately nothing in the app seems to work for me. Back buttons don’t work basically, so every time I want to return to the main page I have to refresh the app.
Great App
Super engaging
Not worth the price
I tried this app and every time I go to take a full length exam none of the words to the questions pop up. I’ve tried on multiple devices and in multiple different places. Don’t waste your time or money
Fun Study Alternative
I mostly just use this as a last resort, and do the multiplayer. When i cant focus or study it is like trivia crack but for the MCAT. Very helpful, but the interface can be a little confusing. Overall very fun to use though.
AI generated- makes mistakes
Lots of the questions, and practice passages are AI generated. It makes lots of mistakes and can be really frustrating when you don’t know if you actually got a question wrong, or the AI did. Especially frustrating when the questions from a practice passage don’t even relate to the passage you just read.
Payment doesn’t match price in app
The app says I get a 60% discount giving me $20/month for master, but when I click it it says $28/month for 1 month plan and $20 for 3 month plan. Then when I click $28/month plan it takes me to the App Store to make me pay $40…
Wonderful team behind KOTC
I was recharged after canceling a subscription. I initially had trouble with contacting the team but finally found the right email (linked to their instagram account) I got an email back very quickly. Jay helped me out significantly and worked overtime to ensure I got my money back. KOTC helped me through two MCATs and was a wonderful resource. I have recommended it to several friends who are preparing for the MCAT as well!
Needs serious coding improvements
This app although a great concept attempts to do too much without addressing basic functionality UI bugs. Continuously crashes, and time I select roadmap it says “internet not detected”, unable to navigate frequently using the bottom menu bar, etc. Not worth the money at all at the moment*.
A good app in theory, still some kinks to work out
KOTC is a great app for on-the-go MCAT prep, and it truly helps to “gamify” the arduous process of studying for the MCAT. However, there are still many questions where the media attachment to the answer does not correlate, which can be frustrating at times. I hope the developers pay attention to questions that are flagged and fix them in a timely manner.
Tons of freezes and AI encoded
1) Cool concept making it a fun interactive game 2) Tons of freezes, every time you do a passage of the day and then try to back out the app freezes 3) all the correct answers within a passage are the same letter choice
Great app but some glitches
I’ve been using the road mad section under study to review content, but for some reason I can’t seem to see any of the questions for the quiz or passage to test my knowledge. Would love to see this fixed asap so I can use it how it’s intended!
Great app!
I started using this to study for the MCAT a couple years ago and recently bought a subscription to help study. It’s super useful for on the go studying and can be paired with Khan academy or Kaplan really easily for dual studying. I originally ran into some problems with my subscription but the customer service was great and resolved it immediately! I’d recommend this app to my friends and other students because you can really tell it was made for actual students trying to learn.
Robbed
I canceled my membership (didn’t purchase in the first place), they offered a sale I took it. The have been charging me $20 every month without any account. Tried canceling it several times. It’s a scam and I repeat that! It’s a scammm!
A
Q
premium doesnt work
hi, i just bought premium but i cant access any premium features...
Meh
The app is a good idea, but it’s filled with ads and promos to buy the premium version. If the promos weren’t as prevalent, I’d be much more willing to buy the premium version after experiencing the default. Also, the multiplayer mode crashes the app every time.
Great MCAT Prep tool
There are so many great and helpful tools on KOTC, even the question of the day is a great reminder to stay consistent. The KOTC team is always updating the app and improving/responsive to feedback. KOTC also is a great way to learn new content and keep consistent with review through all the various different games/learning tools. I would definitely recommend this for anyone on the fence about finding an MCAT prep program
I’m disappointed
I tried out the three month subscription at a premium level, and when I opened the study resource videos, I was unable to access them. They were all covered with a sticker titled “premium users only,” and would take me to the page asking for me to upgrade the subscription. I was excited to use this app, so this is extremely disappointing. I tried to login online and each login was rejected because, according to google, the developer was blocked or something like this. Even after leaving the app and re-entering it multiple times, closing the window and reopening it, this issue has been persisting. I’m genuinely at a loss because this was the sole resource I had invested in. Terribly disappointing.
Keeps charging my card
I have canceled my subscription multiple times and I still get charged.
Great team
Talked to the representative and they are very receptive to any and all changes. They truly just want to make a students life easier.
Terrible First Impression
Downloaded the app, was hit with the biochemistry question of the day. The answer was wrong!! Upon reading the explanation they even state the answer deemed “correct” in green was wrong. I will be deleting the app now. Thanks.
I tried it, and it wasn’t what I expected and I want out of my subscription now!
I was fine with this app beginning my studying but I found so many inconsistencies that made the app hard to use so I decided to go with Princeton Review. I just want to cancel my subscription and I can’t. SOS!!!!!
Best pre med App!
Great features and plenty of questions to help you study for the MCAT
Liars
I would love to give a better review, but it seems the creators are liars. I attempted to upgrade my subscription with 70% off from the wheel twice, and both times the site attempted to charge me twice as much!! I have already spent so much on prep resources and had heard good things about this one, but it is nearly useless without a subscription and their prices are insane without the discounts they falsely offer.
Not Great
Not a great app. Not very accurate on a good bit of the information. A lot of useless information. This has been something that has been the least useful out of all the resources I’ve used. Would never use again and would never suggest anyone else use it
Helpful and Convenient Supplement to MCAT Preparation
I was recommended this app by Saso Krstovski, my Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, who spoke exceedingly highly of its resources and unique capabilities. Needless to say, it has considerably helped advance my preparations for the MCAT, and I look forward to its continued use.
Not Worth It
I purchased the premium version, the fact it does not let you utilize it on bigger devices such as my laptop is already a problem. The main issue is that when you get a question wrong it does not then tell you what the right answer is with an explanation to why it is correct. It is all over the place with hardly structure for each subject. It would help to also have test questions in AAMC format for each subject that you can hone in on, and then at the end give you tips to improve or concepts to focus on. This is clearly an app that was created heavily through the use of AI. There are better apps out there, trust me.
Great app!
My TA, Saso recommended this app for review and it helps so much to review a little each day. Definitely recommending it to my other pre-med track friends :)

MCAT PREP
An awesome app that has helped me study so much for the MCAT! I have seen amazing results in my practice tests and am so excited to take the real exam! Saso was also super helpful showing me this app! Thanks Saso! 100% would recommend to friends.
Expensive or pointless
Unless you pay for it, you cant use much of the study materials. I’m a premed student… I don’t have excess money to be spending on subscriptions. Better off just buying the books to study.
