What people like
- Great for studying PDFs
- Organizing notes is super easy
- Very affordable price point
- Side-by-side view works well
What they complain about
- It lags and crashes often
- Sync issues cause lost notes
- Writing feels slow on iPad
- Ads ruin the reading experience
Best budget pdf reader.
Im using this reader for a while and the most useful feature for me is outline. It really helped me organise my PYQs. But one suggestion would be add page rotation feature. Other than that everything works really well.
Djvu support would be appreciated
Although not the best for taking notes, probably the best for reading PDFs Edit. Ads make the experience much worse. Considering switching.
Can u guyz add time feature pls
.
노트 꺼짐 좀 고쳐주세요
주기적으로 앱이 강제종료되며 최근 연 노트들이 전부 꺼지는 현상이 발생함 최근들어 부쩍 더 심해진 느낌입니다
Images
Could you please make it easier to deal with images? Coz why am I unable to edit or crop the images once the dotted lines are gone. It should be easier to edit the images even after it is placed on a document.
Love ittttt
I love this app sm, so convenient!!!!!!!
Don’t buy it. Very risky.
Don’t buy this app, because always you will have a fear to loose the work done in this app. No immediate help. No one there to help. I regret to buy this app. I worked and saved my work done in this app, and when I need all these not able to see, files are not opening .
I hope you can develop a layers feature soon.
I really like your note-taking app, especially the screenshot, hyperlink, and PDF annotation features. However, I hope you can develop a layers feature soon. This way, I could practice multiple times on a single test paper or in my mistake notebook.
해결해주세요ㅠㅠ
정말 잘 쓰고 있었는데 한 순간에 모든 파일이 날라갔습니다.. 저번에도 몇개 파일이 날라갔었는데 이번에는 다 날라갔습니다ㅠㅠ
Needs Liquid Glass Implementation in the App
All features are good, although there are a few nitpicks 1. The fountain pen doesn’t work any different from the normal one. 2. The app starting time is slow, at least 4 - 6 seconds. 3. There’s no proper liquid glass implementation in the app, I tried Notes + app and really loved the look. It would look great on Flexcil too. 4. Add an option for a floating toolbar, and give us the option to minimise the toolbar like in Apple Notes. 5. Give us an option to export multiple folders as .zip or .flex. 6. I loved this concept called layers in which we can edit the same document as multiple layers like one for glancing, one for detailed marking and one for overview.
Review
Been this app for more than a year and didn’t face any issue . No limit with notebook ,folder . Quick slide notebook option is my fav . So many options . I am using without subscription and it’s very productive and efficient . Kudos to the app maker . Very satisfying.
Can’t export
Unable to export even with a watermark. Useless app.
펜툴바가 상단에 있을 때 터치가 안됩니다.
펜툴바가 상단에 있을 때 터치도 안되고 펜슬로도 터치가 안되서 쓰질 못하고 잇어요. 빠른 수정 부탁드려요!
Bad optimisation
I use iPad Air 3 with iPad os 26 it lagging a lot while writing. As students mostly use older or entry level iPads hence it should be well optimised for them too. The app has great functionality when compared to other note taking & annotating apps but lags a lot. This is a persistent issue since last one year not addressed with any of the updates till now.
Too much crashes
Initially the app was the best, but recently after using for 6 months, idk why but it crashes a lot. The files which runs smoothly is stucking and crashing the app.
Review
The best of the notes I have used so far
Tape is Annoying
Needs Not drawing Tape by tap, All tapes on/off button
Nice app in read & write segment
I am finding the app very useful. It would have been great if there is a feature where we can see all the annotations within a document grouped by type. Update: lately I am facing alot of syncing issues with my google account. Every time is asks for authentication to sync the data. This poses risk to my data not being backed up automatically 😒
Fix the issue
I have purchased premium subscription In my android tablet after I got my iPad in iPad the premium subscription is not working please fix this
Laser pen issue
Fix the damn laser pen issue I have been trying to bring to your notice this issue but you guys just do not respond back The laser pen strokes disappear just too quickly and most of the times even before a whole word is completed….extremely annoying
Need improvement
The app is taking longer time to load the doc. And crash the document while uploading. While I open my existing document it’s takes 20 second to open the file. Please improve it.
Please add option to select text and direct search to web
Please
After update app doesn’t work well
It’s a fantastic pdf reader & note taking app. Using if since 1 year. Since the last update everytime the app gets connected to internet my all files are gone. I’ve to reopen them all the time which is frustrating
Very laggy
It lags so much 👎
Export text highlights
Immensely required: the feature to export text highlights just like the one in website sum notes.net. I use a paid version of Flexcil. Feature to underline multiple text at the same time and highlight all of them at once is great.
Lagging
It’s lagging too much nowadays. The writing experience is not smooth at all, it’s so frustrating instead. I even deleted every documents and off load it and started again as a new, but still the problem exists. Please , do something about it.
HANDWRITING STYLES , Angle for words , Shapes, LOADING ISSUES
The app is perfect to have concise notes but when it comes to handwriting styles it would be better like other apps which turns a misaligned word into a beautiful font , if there is a choice of changing the angles of words after writing it would be perfect , Shapes are limited takes long time to draw Petri dish like diagrams , if I add details to the diagram with many lines the page loads for long time on switching front and back , apart from these all are good
Too many problems
I am user of Flexcil premium. It lags too much during scrolling the pages and takes time to load the content for the same. Partial eraser also freezes the app and sometimes lead to crash of the app. And app also don’t provide smooth movement of single page during zoom. it relay need work in these aspect
There’s a lack of precision
When I draw a straight line but want it at a certain angle there’s some glitch which makes the angle wider. Sometimes when I paste a picture the app either crashes or freezes. And the app in general crashes multiple times.
best version
best but need improve in copying, pasting, note taking
Not allowing multiple files to upload at once
I am a premium user, please allow multiple files to upload all at once in a folder after being downloaded. It takes time to upload each file at a time in a folder
One of the best PDF annotations app
I purchased this app mainly for PDF viewing and annotation and form fill up functions. The has Very clean interface but not attractive. I request the developers to implement following features ; I am professor of Finance . My job nature deals with annotation of PDFs and form fill ups. 1) Please implement form fill up capabilities like tick mark, billets, cross mark , approved stamp , Signature etc. 2) It is a bit sluggish when annotating PDF not as fast as Adobe Acrobat 3. I have several PDF documents in Google drive . So, Please bring Google drive under cloud connections 4) Please Support ICloud Sync 5) The annotate features lags especially in gesture mode . The annotate functions will have to be clear and there is need for mobile user guide.
Fix the lagg
It’s getting progressively laggy and worse with the updates. Writing notes is taking unnecessarily long becoz of the bugs. Please fix
Cloud syncing issue
Please fix syncing issue , manual sync doesn’t show how much data uploaded or downloaded and sometimes take forever to sync on ios version but on android it’s smooth . Please fix this to avoid deletion of written notes from clouds.
Awesome tool for pdf, e-books and notes
I have been using it for the last 5years. The best I could recommend. Could not think of any other applications now to help me with ebooks or pdfs.
Problem in notes making
Extreme automatic distortion while making notes
App Crash
This app crashes frequently and is unable to load annotations
Major Flaw
I have been experiencing frustration with lassoing annotations, copying them, but being unable to paste. I looked up the instructions, followed them, and it still wouldn’t paste. Very frustrating. The only work around I could find was to turn it into a sticker, and then paste the sticker. But then it’s uneditable. I was doing this when the worst happened, somehow this strange box appeared with a grey mountain in it, I click it and it said clear all annotations, I thought it meant all the things I had lasso’ed…. No. ALL ANNOTATIONS. THIS ACTION IS IRREVERSIBLE. Alllllll of my annotations ON THE DOCUMENT from weeks of studying ARE GONE. That’s insane. Why isn’t there an undo function for that? Absolutely bonkers. This alone gives me reason to switch apps.
New page adding in pdf issue
Add a new page going wrong after scrolling page new page come as a first page of pdf rather then next page after scrolling
Best thing I have ever purchased
Flexcil is the most economical and the most amazing note making app. They constantly try to outcome the drawbacks. It makes studying super easy & helps really a lot to keep my notes well organised and clutter free. Also it is very easy to use.
Apple pencil writing experience is poor
I used to enjoy the wrting experience with apple pecil in the previous old flexicil app. But inthe new app the hand writing keeps lagging and strokes are not getting recognised correctly. Kindly look into this. I have shifted back to the old app because of this issue
Need some improvement
Related to copy paste. And typing, editing , need to learn from good notes
Customisation of toolbar
I am a maths teacher and i draw shapes a lot , i need these individual triangle , arrow , line , circle in toolbar section similar to drawboard pdf which i use on windows. Please do the needful
Nice app but can be made better
Thank you guys for making the app appropriate for referencing. I was wondering about text highlighting thing, in gesture mode, text can be highlighted with colors using pop up pallet editor which has preset colors. How to edit highlighter presets. When I use red the opacity of it is set to 100% and I can’t use it. when I customize by selecting color pallet editing, it stays in the recent used one and doesn’t get saved, goes away next time I use the preset color. Next, I have highlighted the text using one color then how do I change its color? Or edit it? I didn’t understand the purpose of lasso, in a pdf it is not selecting anything! Is this a bug or am using it wrong way? When I press pen in Apple Pencil pro, I want gesture mode to be included in the pop up pallet. Another thing, can you give infinite canvas, dragging and dropping of paragraphs into pop up viewer, they are not fitting into page size limits. Also, there is no Freeform text box resizing of dragged and dropped thing. Would love to see this next time. Whenever we drag and drop the default size is bigger and kind of seems odd. Can you make it smaller. Can you give a functionality of inking from main window to pop window, similar to liquid text, which will become a link. Useful and will make your app really the best app. If you can provide me with above functionalities I will never look another app…period. Right now for referencing and mapping I use liquid text. Can someone call me to discuss further. I really love to see this app shine. I need them!!! Urgent
This is one of the amazing notes taking & readings app.
Hello, I’m using FLEXCIL since past 6 years. This app helped me very much during my medical school journey. I’m requesting you to add Ai . Thanks in advance.
Please dont glitch
I have all my notes in this and now its started glitching, as in the pen just freezes suddenly and works after few seconds…its very frequent and very annoying… ipad and pen work ok, its the app thats glitching … please don’t do this please fix it!
Hanging
The app is hanging while trying to make notes with Apple Pencil.. it is happening with my iPad and also my friends so it probably is an app problem. Pls check
SYNCH IS HORRIBLE! If you can’t save, what’s the point?
App does not synch with iCloud. I lost documents twice. And to synch according to their instructions is cumbersome and I cannot get it to work. The UI is exactly what I want and need. But if I lose documents and cannot synch among devices, it’s a waste. I’m migrating to another platform (probably back to Notability).
No mac support
I wish I could use this app on mac. Renders this brilliant app useless for me. Instead of template updates please just add a viewer app for mac with annotation sync.
