Failure to recognise that my Skoda Elroq is plugged in.
Unfortunately, my Skoda Elroq regularly fails to charge overnight, using OVO Charge app as the controlling app. Both the Skoda app and the Sync charger app recognise that the vehicle charging lead is connected. Poor app.
Werkt goed ik mis alleen de huidige status.
Werkt best goed en de kortingen zijn mooi meegenomen. Maar ik mis de status van je laden best wel. En dat is een bug, want soms geeft de app het heel even aan. En dan is het weer unable to load stats. Jammer anders zeker meer sterren.
First version was much better
This app has become infuriating. Frequently fails to register car being plugged which means I need to delete the car and start again. The car often shows charging errors which it never used to do. The app opens on the map tab which is no help for home charging so I have to change tabs every time I open it. And urgent charge seems to have gone (or I can’t find it anyway). I like OVO but I’m considering a different supplier as I haven’t got time for the hassle and uncertainty.

Ohme + Peugot No Support
I bought an Ohme from Ovo. They discontinued support. They introduced a workaround that worked for my Volvo. I bought a Peugeot and the work around doesn’t work. I am now having to switch energy supplier to Octopus because their product team didn’t make poor life decisions.

Very Limited
Great if you have a Tesla. Not great if you have a Land Rover. Can only charge the Land Rover using standard tariff and not as part of the OVO Charge allowance. May have to transfer to Octopus Energy.
App now working
My previous one star review slated the app for not registering my car for days. Suddenly it started working without any explanation, and has been doing so faultlessly for a couple of weeks. Only time will tell whether this continues to be the case. My suspicion is that it has something to do with my smart meter, which was replaced after not working for about three years (thanks for the quick response OVO). It was never explained to me that I may need a smart meter for the app to work. Ho hum. Only three stars for now because of all the hassle.

No emails come through when you request one. No evidence of charges atm. Sort it out

Une autre approche de la recharge électrique. Au lieu de verser une commission à un opérateur de badge RFID, vous pouvez obtenir des réduction de 10 à 15%. La gamification est présente avec des petites récompenses. Le seul bémol est l’initiation de la connection à la borne qui peut être parfois capricieuse. KIA PV5 support dropped
So it was with great enthusiasm that I signed up for charge anytime last week for my PV5. Sadly this version has dropped that support and it now looks like other models in the KIA lineup have been dropped too. This is at odds with other OVO documents which say they are supported. What’s up and why doesn’t it work on my already registered and visible PV5?
Le plus économique sur certains réseaux.
Utile pour faire baisser la note sur certains réseaux. Voici d’ailleurs de quoi bien commencer avec mon code parrain qui vous donne 9€ de crédit : RVBYRQ L’application est en anglais mais est tellement semblable aux autres que vous n’aurez aucune peine à l’utiliser. Vous avez une carte des bornes, vous choisissez celle qui vous intéresse et la fiche de la borne s’ouvre. Très intéressant sur les bornes du réseau autoroute Total avec un prix de 0,18€ /kWh c’est de loin le tarif le plus bas de toutes les cartes. Vous avez en plus de l’offre gratuite 2 options pour avoir 70kWh / mois pour 25€/mois ou 145 kWh/mois pour 45€/mois. Ces 2 options peuvent être souscrites pour 1 mois seulement puis re-souscrites plus tard si vous en avez l’usage. Par contre les kWh non utilisés pendant le mois sont perdu attention. Voilà j’espère que cet avis vous sera utile et n’oubliez pas les 9€ grâce à mon code qui me fera profiter du même avantage et je vous en remercie d’avance. Bonne route et bonne recharge.
Hit and miss, and miss…
I’m not an OVO energy customer so I have this app on my phone to check for cheaper public charging deals. It’s been over a year since any charger cost on this app came out cheaper than Electroverse, so I just close it and use the cheaper option. This can’t be news to OVO - it’s as simple as this: if the charge cost is cheaper, I’ll use your app to charge.
Inferior to Charge Anytime
Will not allow me to choose 95% limit (appropriate for my Lithium battery) only allows 90% or 100% limit. Installation for existing iPhone Charge Anytime users seems not to have been tested thoroughly as it just threw an error and exited on first use instead of asking for access via Settings.
Zuverlässige und übersichtliche Ladeapp
Ich nutze OVO-Charge jetzt seit über 2 Jahren als meine bevorzugte App in Deutschland. Das öffentliche Laden im Roaming funktioniert bestens, die App ist übersichtlich und schnell. Und bei einigen Ladesäulenbetreibern ist der Ladepreis mit OVO wirklich sehr fair, wenn man für nur 2 Euro im Monat den Boost dazubucht. Mit dem Referal Code RM2PS2K bekommt ihr ein Startguthaben von 9 Euro.

Bonjour, Le principe de l’abonnement qui profite sur la quasi-totalité des bornes est vraiment super! Un petit effort pour une application traduite en français serait un véritable plus !! Merci
Getting worse
So the original app was much more reliable in my opinion, however we are where we are and where we have landed isn’t looking good. Up until recently the app worked reasonably well, 4 stars pushing 5 but after recent update the chances of it communicating with my car (Audi q6) have diminished to the point it’s costing me money as I’m having to top up at other charger than home so I can get the range needed. Some nights I set to charge and wake un morning to 0% added and I’m at 20%, no reason just “no dear not today”. When contract is up may think about a different supplier for electricity purely because of this app’s unreliability

The app is easy to use and they have good prices.
Don’t bother with these amateurs
For an OVO Customer who has built up the 2400 free miles with beyond, together with the £120 public charging credit it’s a no brainer. It charges around 15p kwh on the plan (compared to 14 kwh pay as you go, backward but you do get the charging credit) and charges in the daytime, unlike competitors who only let you charge at night (albeit around 7p). Doesn’t roll over to the next month anymore either if you don’t use it. I’ll move away next year purely because they are so expensive in comparison after my first year benefits. BUT Issues as others have said, can’t send verification for emails so can’t get the reward points. Support said no issue but clearly is. App is generally laggy and needs a full overhaul of every area, menu and screen. Rewards for charging each week don’t work, it moves over the next level and gives you nothing, general data is delayed and the support team response is 5-7 days per message, it’s just not good enough Will be sticking out 12 months with freebies and credit I’ve accumulated then going onto Octopus

16.9.2025 gibt es in der app immer noch keine Ladepunktnummern. Ich war in dem Wahn, der linke wäre die 1 und der rechte die 2. versehentlich hat das aber ein anderes Auto freigeschaltet, das auch laden will. Also drücke ich auf den anderen Ladepunkt. Dann kommt ein Hinweis, dass ein anderes Auto bereits lädt, aber versehentlich haben die Programmierer den Knopf vergessen, die falsche Ladung zu stoppen. Wenn die Programmierer die Ladepunktnummern dazuschreiben würden, würde so ein Chaos nicht passieren. . . . 23.8.2025 ist die App sehr langsam. Es dauert rund 3 Minuten, bis die Informationen eines Lade Punktes angezeigt werden. Dann erkennt man, ob die LadeSäule besetzt ist oder frei ist. Ich habe keine Lust, jedes Mal 3 Minuten zu warten, um diese Information zu erhalten. Andere Apps sind schneller. . . . 18.3.2025 ist die App in einer ausländischen Sprache. Wenn man unberechtigte Abbuchungen von der Kreditkarte nachgucken möchte, verzweigt man in irgendwelchen Menüs, wo es keinen Zurückknopf mehr gibt. Man muss die App beenden und die Recherche von vorne beginnen. . . . 1.11.2024 zeigt die App weder Postleitzahlen noch Städte an. Wenn sich die App also versehentlich täuscht und eine falsche Straße in einer falschen Stadt anzeigt, fährt man diese Ladestation versehentlich an, weil die App weder Postleitzahlen noch Städte bei den Ladesäulen anzeigt. Nur Straßennamen. . . . 20.9.2024 kann man keine Fotos hochladen. Es gibt zwar so eine Funktion in der App, aber damit kann man nur Live Photos hochladen; jedoch keine aus der Bibliothek. Bedeutet: auf einer stark befahrenen Straße mit Halteverbot ist der Zugang zu den Ladesäulen durch ein Tor versperrt. Man hat keine Möglichkeit, so ein Live Foto hochzuladen, weil die Autos hinter einem hupen, dass man sofort weiterfahren soll wegen Halteverbot. Hier wäre es gut, wenn man Fotos aus der Bibliothek später hochladen könnte, zum Beispiel wenn man während der Rotphase einen Schnappschuss gemacht hat und diesen am nächsten Parkplatz hochladen könnte. . . . 8.8.2024 werden in der App keine LadePunktnummern angezeigt. Bedeutet: wenn man gleichzeitig mit einem anderen Fahrer an einer Ladestation ankommt, weiß man nicht, welche Nummer man freischalten soll. Ich hab dann auf Verdacht auf die Nummer eins gedrückt und das war aber die von dem anderen Fahrer. Somit lud er Strom auf meine Kosten. Auf der Ladesäule stehen Nummern aber in der App nicht. . . . .

No coverage in Switzerland Austria Italy. Pricing not cheaper as most other providers. Basically this app brings less.
Gute Funktionalität
Ladevorgang über App gestartet funktioniert tadellos bisher. Preise sind auch akzeptabel. Für einen Urlaub in Italien unbedingt empfehlenswert, wenn man nicht überteuerte Preise bei anderen Anbietern zahlen möchte.
Verification code not working
I tried many times to get an account and verification code didn’t work. So not able to change my ovo tariff. Paying standard amount for charging my car. Ovo customer service only allows changes using the app. Frustrated
Augen auf im Ausland!
Innerhalb Deutschlands ist Bonnet wirklich top. Warum? Man zahlt einen pauschalen Betrag von aktuell 55 Cent pro kWh, der überall gilt (auch Ionity an den Autobahnen!) Über sog. Refill-Pakete (Prepaid kWh-Pakete) kann man den Preis bis 48 Cent drücken. Das ist dir mir momentan preiswerteste bekannte Lösung zum Laden unterwegs. Ein nettes Gimmick sind auch Reward-Punkte. Wenn ihr fleißig die Tanksäulen fotografiert und ab und an eine Umfrage mitmacht, gibt es die eine oder andere kWh geschenkt. Überraschend fand ich die preislichen Abweichungen im Ausland. In Spanien soll ich aktuell 80 Cent bezahlen - das sind wiederum 50 % mehr als der übliche Satz hier. Also Augen auf, jede Medaille hat zwei Seiten. Und jetzt das Unvermeidbare: Der Code RA4XRR bei der Anmeldung bringt euch 9 EUR Startguthaben - mir aber auch :)

Misleading prices
The prices shown on the map screen are nothing like what you actually pay. It said 52p on the map screen but when you click on the charger they were ALL 85p. Contacted support and they said the map price is just an indication and they didn’t care / understand how that isn’t very useful. Very disappointed after that interaction. Be careful using this app … it was far cheaper to charge with instavolt directly. I suspect the price was wrong on OVO but they don’t care.

99% satisfait de l’appli (-1% pour les non anglophones). Très facile à paramétrer et en plus des kw gratuits avec le code RRBQJZ en pré paiement.
Welche Säule soll man nutzen?
Parkplatz mit 8 Ladepunkten direkt nebeneinander. In der App steht Charger 1, Charger 2, … Charger 8. Soll man ausprobieren welche die richtige ist???? Ob von links oder rechts gezählt, führte nicht zum Erfolg. Warum sind die Säulen in der App, wie bei jeder anderen App auch, nicht mit den Säulennummern versehen???
Gute App mit fairen Preisen und attraktivem Tarifmodell
Ich habe die App getestet und muss sagen, ich bin sehr zufrieden. Der Aufbau der App ist wirklich übersichtlich und leicht zu bedienen. Ein Ladevorgang kann schnell gestartet und beendet werden. Mit dem Referral Code R3XYGP bekommt man direkt 9 Euro Startguthaben und die Anmeldung und Ersteinrichtung kann ohne viele Daten und dank ApplePay sehr unkompliziert durchgeführt werden. Ich habe den Versuch nicht bereut und werde die App weiterhin nutzen.

App du funktioniert für AC Preis zu hoch
Die App funktioniert wir alle anderen Ladeapps. Auf der Karte nicht angezeigte Ladesäule lassen sich über die ID der Säule aktivieren sofern sie im Verbund sind. Die Button Drückerei um den Ladevorgang zu starten ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auswählen->Starten hätte es auch getan. Die Preise für reines AC laden sind nun leider zu hoch. Von daher ist es unattraktiv geworden.

Update issue
Since the last update ( week ago) the app no longer connects to MyHyundai app and hence no recording of charge/ costs/ savings etc - worked fine prior to the update

App seems really simple to use I need to see on long run if it is reliable. Also is it possible to add Waze as navigation option to charger as Apple plan is not the best when it is about traffic jam / speed trap warnings during drive. If you do this I will raise my comment to 5 stars for sure 😇.

Wie bei allen Lock-Angeboten war es auch hier nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis die absurd niedrigen Preise angepasst werden. Die neuen Preise sehen im günstigsten Fall, mit dem teuersten Paket (96 € pro Monat) einen Preis von 0,48 €/kWh vor. Damit ist es für mich preislich nicht mehr attraktiv. Davor hat es Spaß gemacht für 0,30 €/kWh zu laden. Also wieder weg mit der App...
