Just used for the first time and it was so straight forward and smooth

2 x22v untethered chargers at Beamish museum- does not accept electroverse RFID card or bank card - so downloaded app - set up paid £25 no charge to car - tried adjacent charger another £25 preauthorised and again no charge to car .Phoned helpline and waited .. support unable to “log in “ to the system .No EV charge and £50 down - hopefully temporarily- not impressed
Decent app
Can be a little laggy at times but generally one of the better EV charging apps
Slow to load
App very laggy, when you try to filter on the map to find higher wattage chargers it goes to a white screen and nothing happens. When charging the graphics are good, but I don’t feel confident it’s upto date and no eta to finish charging.

Sadly though, this used to be one of the better priced EV charging networks but they seem to be as bad as the others now.

Tesco club card not linked
Link to club card not possible if signed in with Apple sign in. Why can’t we just enter the club card number?
Super fast charging in minutes
Super fast charging in minutes and cheaper if you pay the 4.99 a month subscription. It’s convenient but only 4 stars because the app doesn’t update most times and you don’t know how much your car has charged until you get back to your car
Glitchy app, good price
I’ve been using Be.EV for a while now. The app is very glitchy. I regularly get the most useless error message “something went wrong” when trying to start a charge. No rhyme or reason but it happens a lot. Then it just works. Super frustrating. But the off peak rate is good. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother with this network.
Good app let down by incorrect map
The app has been quite good when connecting to a charger and making the payment, the realtime info is good. It’s let down by some incorrect info on the charging map. I recently travelled to a location on the map only to find that there weren’t any chargers there at all. I’ve also seen incorrect charging speed into.

Wasted 30 mins trying every option inc phoning your freephone number which did not resolve issue
Parking restrictions!
It should be available 24hrs a day with no parking restrictions once you’re charging

Perfect charge all the time

I don’t unusually write reviews but I felt it necessary to write this one. I was standing in front of 3 available charging ports and yet the app did not show any one of them. Even when I type in the station/ location ID, nothing is coming up. Every time I try to use these chargers there’s always an issue or an error or one thing or another. What’s the point of having an app if the app is not functional!?? You can’t even log into the app without having problems. I will no longer bother with Be.EV as it’s an absolute waste of time.
Great, when it works
Since the update, tapping ACCOUNT / CHARGING SESSIONS causes the app to crash. Does exactly the same in the Android version too. Also, the chargers at Ashton in Makerfield have rejected my RFID card twice now. But the money keeps coming out of my account.
Excellent charging network on the Isle If Wight
Great range of charges and free parking when charging in the Car Parks on the Isle of Wight. The app works well and the rates are good as long as you are use the app.
Just Awful
App always has issues “communicating” with chargers. To the point where now I’m just stuck in a loop of not being able to stop a session. Just unnecessarily difficult and awkward.
Crashed since update
I didn’t have any issues with the app and regularly used it at multiple locations to charge and then download the receipts. Since the update the app keeps crashing when I try to access the charging history

It’s really hit and miss getting it to charge your car through the app and they have different software on chargers even when they are located in the same place. If I want to leave before the charge gets to 100% I have to call customer services to get them to end my session as it no longer works through the app.
Needs Apple Pay Support
Having to enter and store credit card details in the app is not convenient or secure. Other providers allow the ability to authorise a charging session using Apple Pay. Please consider adding this, it makes the process a lot easier to use and quicker to set up. It’s also far easier to switch cards when starting a charging session.

Just have quick question , I went to sheffield parkway charging station , there were 7 charging station , its very disappointig. not a single chademo charger were avaialble . every single charger was CSS. Also why cant we filtre charging station with cable filtre eg css or chademo

Won’t run on iOS 26.5.2
App crashes directly on starting the app. iOS 26.5.2 on iPhone 16. Pretty sure it worked on my old iPhone XS running iOS 18 Unable to use on this iPhone 16 until bug is fixed. Zero stars …
What it should cost
Signed up and despite having a home charger, I often find myself driving home in my van or indeed off to a job requiring energy. At £0.90p per kWh other companies are punishing me for using a van that weighs 2600kg and does 2mikes per kWh, so I signed up with Be.ev. Half an hour and 15kwh added, an affordable £7.50 means tomorrow is secured. With a 50kwh battery, I’d prefer 50kw, not the reduced rate I rec’d, but a good start.
Poor Experience
I’ve been driving EVs for 6 years and this has been my worst experience so far. Have been to 3 Be.EV charging units on separate days in the same area. The first didn’t work until I called CS and after re initialising the unit my car connected but my neighbour’s stopped midstream. My 2nd visit the unit was down. My 3rd and two reboots from two calls to CS was advised to seek another unit. Parking paid and wasted. My main complaint is that the system debits your credit card up front (very efficiently) - you are then left to make sure the credits come back within 10days!!
