Straightforward
As I am somewhat rubbish at technology I found this app very straightforward and easy to install and use (so far!)
Nightmare to set up
I wish I had read the reviews before I started trying to open an investment account and fund it. I’m disabled and I can only use an iPad and it’s been a nightmare. I have left two messages asking for help but I have received none so I think I’m going to have to give up. I have wasted three afternoons!
Mobile Banking
App easy to install & use
Screenshots now blocked
I have a vision impairment and the app doesn’t allow you to zoom in. I used to take screenshots and zoom in on those, but this latest version I was forced to update to effectively gives a blank image when you screenshot. I can understand that the bank sees this as an anti-fraud measure, but I find it very unhelpful.
Great App
Love this app. Has so many easy to use features and a good menu which easily directs you to your required source of information. I love that so much relevant information is so obvious to the user at a glance. Superb!
App doesn’t work
The app doesn’t show my account. Reinstalling it hasn’t helped. Still unable to make my first transfer a month after opening the account, compared to Tandem bank, which from opening to transfer-in took less than thirty minutes. Not acceptable in this day and age. I dread to think how I’ll withdraw money, if I finally succeed in getting it in. I’d recommend looking elsewhere for hassle-free banking…
Useful app
An easy way to check balances etc. One annoying thing: it isn’t possible to copy the details from the “Pay Money In” screen. It would be useful to be able to cut-and-paste the acoustic number erc.
Problem with registration
Since upgrading to Apple iOS 17.7.7 I have had to register the RCI banking app every time I logon.

Easy to down load. Very responsive. Good to manage my account on the go.
Not working for ages
Just get an error message saying they are having technical problems even after delete and reinstall

Spent more time than I wished searching for ‘log out’ - found it in settings .... not intuitive ?
The app is OK, just OK
It’s OK for monitoring existing bank accounts, but it would be better if we could actually open another account from within the app, rather than having to go to the computer
Brilliant
Quick & easy app to download. Simple setup. Clear account information. This quick & easy access is all I need.
App no longer working
The app has not worked for both myself and my partner for several days. Deleting and reinstalling it does not help. I have sent two messages over several days and have had no response. There is nothing on the website about this. Not impressed as it was such a good app but if it does not work it loses any appeal it may have had.
Not working on iPad
Downloaded app on iPad, which it does simultaneously on my iPhone 7, set up easy, nice to use (on iPhone) finger print to open, all looks good. ,! BUT, not working on iPad mini, with latest software, just an RCI box opens, say, Set device pin, and other advice, but nowhere to set up, nothing, deleted it, and re-installed, still just the dead box, no advice on app developers site, or under FAQ. ☹️ HOPEFULLY DEVELOPERS WILL SEE THIS.
Only Portrait View
Although RCI claimed that this app was for mobiles and tablets I am disappointed that I cannot view the app in landscape mode. Yet my iPad case presents the screen in this mode. The constructors of the COVID-19 reporting mobile app, and other banks, have managed to build this feature in. I hope that RCI modify their app soon.
RCI app for mobile
Really easy to setup with face recognition or Touch ID. Immediately after setup I did a withdrawal which was quick and easy. If you’ve been used to accessing your account via a laptop I would very much recommend doing it via this app.
Won’t get past cookies screen
Whatever I press to accept or deny cookies just throws me out of the app (: I give up
Fine for mobile... not for tablet
First of all I just want to mention that the app is fine on mobiles, it’s fast, fluid and has all the functionality you expect from a banking app. Unfortunately it is not optimised for iPad. I’m sure I’m not alone in doing most of my banking on a tablet these days so it was very disappointing to see that the app is only for mobiles. I fully understand that you can enlarge the view in a compatibility mode but it’s not the same experience as a fully fledged iPad app. Please take note of this for future updates.

Wonderfully easy, well designed. Gives you confidence in integrity and customer friendly policy of Bank. Excellent range of options for speedily checking and organising accounts.
No Withdrawl or account closure facility
Which is a problem since this bank doesn’t answer phone calls or emails, so once your money is in the bank you cannot get it out. It’s a bit Hotel California, you can check out but you can never leave!
No secure enough
App does not automatically log you out if you close the app. An option to add additional log in security/checks would also be good.

This was very easy to install on my iPad. I am impressed with RCI Bank they are keeping me informed of everything on my account
Far too slow
I opened a savings account & paid money in from my nominated linked account. Hours later it still hadn’t been received by RCI. I phoned them & they said it ‘should’ show in my account by 5pm today, that’s 8 1/2 hours after I sent it. This is far too slow for me. Where does my money go for all this time. I will close the account asap….. apparently it will take 3 working days to send my money back to its original account!
Easy to use
The app makes it very easy to withdraw money and check your balance.
Needs work
Can sign in online with my password but signing in through the app password not recognised. Disappointed.
