Good app
Good app with some decent features. Not crazy about the statement retrieval process. The dashboard feature gives a nice ledger for other accounts (sorta like a Mint or WalletHub app does)
Update not needed
I liked the format of the old version much better. The font is harder to read and navigating isn’t any easier. WHY do the update?!?! 👎
Marginally better
All the people who work at my local Tarboro bank are absolutely great! They know their jobs and are kind and considerate! However… Credit card concern. I cannot see individual purchases/expenditures from the credit card issued to me by your bank. I know your bank has no credit card. And the card you issued to me was from another bank but I still want to see individual uses of my card on your Southern Bank website.

Worst banking app ever.
With every update, their app becomes more and more broken. I have been able to access it a grand total of one time in the last two months; every other attempt is met with a “please wait” message permanently stuck on my screen, or the app completely refusing to allow me the slightest attempt at signing in. You would think for an app used to view necessary information like money, they would have put a little more effort into making it functional. I’m switching banks soon simply because of their lack of effort in ensuring a smooth customer experience at every possible opportunity.

Thank you for the courteous and professional assistance I always get. Cant wait for the branch to open in New Bern. I wish there was a way to avoid ATM surcharges as there is not a Southern Bank ATM in our area. Other than that I consider you all the perfect bank for our family. Thank you
Not as user friendly
I don’t love the new Southern Bank app. I thought it was just difficult to navigate because it was new, but I have given it some time, and I still find it not user friendly. Transfers are more difficult and not being able to see the whole transaction list is frustrating.

Old app was better. New app is not worth the time. Login with Face ID don’t work most of the time. (UPDATE) app is working much better now.

The staff at every Southern Bank that I have been to have been extremely kind and helpful. I have no regrets in moving my accounts from one of the National chains to this customer focused bank!

This app is beyond terrible. I love the bank. Been with them for a very long time. But this app makes me want to change banks. I don’t get notifications anymore on when a transaction takes place. In the notification options there is nothing about a notification for purchases or when something is drafted out of the account. It’s very frustrating. Please fix or revert back to the old app.

I still can’t access paycheck after almost a week after deposit I transfer funds to my old bank to cover transactions and they still haven’t hit after 3das caused over draft fees your bank is slow I’m considering finding a new bank
