Needs fixed
Great app just needs to fix the freezing up part. Every other day I have to turn my phone off and restart to get the app to work. I have an iPhone 11.
Great while it worked
App worked fine for years until now. Now app won’t start. Only gets a “Loading failed. The operation could not be completed. Retry error. Followed instructions from bank on the usual delete app turn phone off download app but same results. IOS 14.8.1 (iPhone 11)
Update
Ever since the new update the app will not accept my face to log me in. Also it lags pretty bad running on full bars.

Terrible App
We switched to Southern Bank due to great offers; but their app is the most awful experience. Constantly logging me and my husband out, locking us out. We nearly have to reset our password each time we open it. Needed to be in online statements, app told us we were. The bank branch made us go in person just to tell us we were correct and they had to submit a ticket to fix it. It’s just always something with this dang app!
Great Except Log In Trouble
Love the app overall but REALLY wish they would get the log in working better. It is very annoying that the facial recognition doesn't work very often nor will it won’t save my log in info even though I check the box to do so! I get locked out of my account far too frequently trying to log in.

I get a lot of ridiculous error messages that are no help for trying to solve the problem.
iPad version
Although the iPhone version can be used on an IPad it would be great to have an iPad version that can leverage the screen space and landscape views to provide more information without having to traverse existing menu/workflows to get the information you need. Thanks.

The latest update I cannot even make a mobile check deposit because it will not take a picture of my check. And of course Southern Bank has such limited access, that NOW I have to go to the bank in order to make a deposit. And of course nobody seems to know how to fix this problem so we're just gonna leave it here for the Devs to get working on it. Actually tried to contact someone through chat through the app and they were pretty helpful but could not fix the problem so two hours later & several attempts to delete and reload the app were unproductive. It would be nice if there was a way to actually contact tech-support from the app, but of course that would be too convenient I HATE this app about as much as I don't like leaving reviews. As for the Bank, I would tell you to go somewhere else. I got stuck with it when my bank got sold to it and I've hated it ever since. If I didn't have a six figure business in there with multiple accounts, I would probably close it and move it to somewhere else. 09/22/2025 still not working
It works…. Kind of.
The app is slow to show pending payments or debits. I don’t like that some things take SO LONG to post.
Can’t Use FaceID
Every time I get on the app with the new update, I have to type my password instead of it allowing me to use Face ID. It has information that tells me to use my access ID and passcode to save Face ID but it never does. Fix this and stars go back to 5 because it’s great other than this issue.
Transfer to external banking institutions
Transfer Limit is lower than I am needing. Have requested it be raised from $1000/day with no success.

Whenever u am trying to enroll it lags and freezes and makes me repeat the whole thing

Decent app with annoying problems
Overall the app has an easy to use, streamlined feel. The fingerprint recognition is terrible though, always makes me put in my password regardless. Also, the Zelle money transfer system is not great, it forces the recipient to get Zelle software and allow them to track your phone usage

Terrible service
This place has gone down hill. Cannot speak with anyone at the bank. They don’t answer messages. Even the people who talk to the people at the bank cannot get answers. I needed money moved and they didn’t honor my requests.
Shut down 3 times
I opened the app and clicked on my primary checking account 3 times and every time it just shutdown and gave me my phones Home Screen. Not sure why.

Don’t roll it out if it’s not ready
The old app was quite functional. This app only occasionally loads, and as of today once I do manage to log in I can’t even deposit a check. Deposit screen won’t load or camera won’t. Next time get your act together before you force a switch. This is absurd.

Ever since the new update there’s been an issue. I login and look at my balance but when I go to look at the transactions the whole screen turns white and I can’t see anything. Fix it as soon as you can, thank you!
