BAHA Smart App is a Dumb A__
App freezes. Has to be deleted & reinstalled and won’t let you make your own favorites. In the process of making your own favorite is blown everything away and goes back to the Everyday setting. This app is so DAMN frustrating and needs to be addressed and made useable by the owner. Please fix A.S.A.P …. 5 thumps DOWN in its current state with ZERO Stars!!!!!!!
Fallo conexión con Modelo SAS-3
Hola, la aplicación le ha cambiado la vida a mi padre, consiguiendo una calidad de vida que pensaba que ya no tendría. Usa el audífono Baha 5 power y para ver la tele sin que el resto de la familia nos volvamos locos por el volumen, se compro el transmisor de audio cochclear SAS-3. Todo perfecto hasta que actualizó su iPhone 11 a la versión 26.3.1(a), se desconecta el SAS-3 y no hay forma de enlazar( ni quitando el bluetooth, ni reiniciando el transmisor), la única solución es borrar la app y volverla a descargar, ocurre varias veces a la semana e incluso hay días que 2-3 veces ha ocurrido. Por favor, una solución 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
App and lack of support disappointing
I have had a BAHA since BAHA 3 in 2009. I now have BAHA 6. I only need it on my LEFT side. I also need, however, a traditional hearing aid on my RIGHT side. I am unable to have both devices paired to a single IOS device. The app and IOS asks on which side a device is being used. Ideally, I would love to be able to use my BAHA 6 in my LEFT side and my hearing aid on my RIGHT side. Years ago, I remember seeing that Cochlear offered a CI version for use in one side and a Resound hearing aid on the other ear. If IOS supported pairing with both, simultaneously, I don’t understand why IOS can’t do this. My BOSE headphones support LiveListen and I get a better sound from those than using BAHA. Right now, the only solution I have managed is to have my IPhone paired to my hearing aid and my IPad paired to my BAHA. Neither solution is ideal because I want to get the stereo experience from improved sound in both ears. Also, I wish I could do a quick link to turn off the speaker easily and quickly. If I leave the speaker on, I get horrific feedback if my head rests on a pillow, etc. I don’t have that issue with the hearing aids. I also wish the app had better Apple Watch support. There are a number of hearing aid manufacturers who have developed state of the art IOS support and given Cochlear’s expense, i don’t understand why they can’t devote more resources into improving the IOS apps.
Smart App
This is an amended review again - I have been using the smart app now for a few years now and despite a rather basic layout and clunky interface it has by and large been a great app and the only way I can have greater control over my aids. Unfortunately since the latest update (May 2026) what used to be the odd unexpected restart of the app where my custom settings would disappear, has sadly become the norm. Within minutes of adjusting the frequency settings, the app just ‘starts over’ and everything is lost! Even if I keep the frequency adjustment window open, something happens and my aids go back to default settings! The app has been great and I use it everyday to get the best from my Baha 6s. However, now the app has been updated, the functionality has gone backwards. It would be good if there was better customer support for this app as I still think the app could be great and very helpful in getting the most out of my aids!
Won’t stay on tv streaming
Every word the previous bad review stated is accurate. The Cochlear service is worse than before. It’s ridiculously expensive with no options. Scammers. Fraud and Abuse.
Keeps Disconnecting
Will not stay connected. Different sound settings just disappear like tv streamer. The app was always a little glitchy, but it is significantly worse now. I have a IPhone 17 promax, but it was also doing it on my previous iPhone.
Good app with options
Amended: After reinstalling the app after the latest update I can now connect to my BAHA again.
Struggling to use with iPhone
Quite a basic app but it should do what’s needed. It worked much better on my Android but now struggles with the iPhone that I’ve switched too, not sure why.
Not pairing with Soundbar
The app was working fine with my Baha 6 soundbar until last weekend. The battery died and I replaced as normal. I decided to link my phone via the app to listen to some music. Here I found that the blue tooth was on but no feed coming from my hearing aid. I have tried to pair it up again but I am having no luck. Any suggestions

App needs fixed and tended to!! UNUSABLE
I have only been able to use the app with limited functionality because I cannot login to my account to use full controls nor has it let me for a whole YEAR. I need answers and I need a solution. I’m missing out on feature I USE.
New app
The new app is nice but it keeps crashing I have to reset my phone every morning
Weak program
Cochlear has dumbed down the app to the point it is near worthless. Customization is extremely limited and the processor’s performance suffers as a result.
Patchy streaming.
I was really happy with the BAHA app until iOS 18 came out. Since the streaming cuts out completely. No messages, no errors, just stops. I have to select “Everyday” then select streaming. Very annoying.

Worst App Ever
This has to be the worst app I’ve ever used. Plus it’s necessary for convenient control of the hearing aid. It’s so bad it’s bordering on false advertising. If you get it to connect to your hearing aid, never ever disconnect it. It takes so much effort to pair it that it’s unacceptable. You can try a new battery, uninstall/reinstall app, connect/reconnect, power on/off, pair/repair. Nothing works and it will just all of a sudden work. My Widex has zero issues. Oh, and BAHA support is not helpful. I received a response from BAHA support. As I stated in my review, they are of no help! I get better support from my Audiologist than I do from BAHA.
Download issue
Not sure if my app was upgraded. Went straight to usual spot when activating cochlear ear app. Went from red to green in about 3 second. Didn’t show usual download
App
Every time I got on that app it put me out of app for no reason and there no update from it. It needs to fix app issues soon.

15+year user. App needs work as well as the aid . Neither keeping up with the times.
Series 6 lyfe ✌️
As a felllow Baha professional repping the series 6 my only niggle is the battery status does not work. However I know the frequency of changing my battery so this isn’t an issue. I have no connectivity issues with the app though wouldn’t mind the feature to change the picture on the main page.
Update glitches
Since this app has updated it regularly only syncs one rather than both my aids. A real pain. So it’s now worse than the previous.

Worthless
The app cannot work with IPhone 15. My audiologist didn’t know, and I just discovered it after 2 full days of trying. Surely a warning from Baha would have been appropriate. Baha incompetence just cost me $1000, because now I will have to buy another phone that’s compatible, perhaps a 14.
Needs improvement
With today’s technology one would expect a much more reliable Smart App. BAHA App needs to do better-very frustrating! Very unreliable app. The app often will not sync with BAHA processors even after changing batteries!!! Frequently ask for fresh batteries. Pretty much useless App. Do better Cochlear!
Baha 6
Prima app, maar vind het jammer dat de app niet onthoud waar je het op instelt. Als je de Baha af doet nachts moet je de volgende dag weer opnieuw instellen. Ook jammer dat de ruisonderdrukking niet op de Apple Watch zit. Handig voor als je veel fietst.
BAHA 6 difficult to connect !!
I had a BAHA 5- now 6- but the connection to the screw is terrible!!! So hard to connect- it makes me cry. Half time I have to go back to my old BAHA to connect. Why did they change the connection? It is horrible. I am so disappointed.
Update potentially disables/ not pairing HA from connecting to phone
I am using a iPhone 12 Pro Max with the latest IOS installed last week. I have the latest BAHA 6 Max which is fairly new about 6 weeks old and has worked superbly until I installed the latest BAHA update from the Apple store. Have tried forgetting/removing the device from the Accessibility-Hearing Devices setting; deleting and reinstalling the App, putting a new battery in etc. but to no avail. Have reported it to Customer Support who are passing it on to the BAHA App developers. It may of course be an issue purely with my HA.
Unable to use with Shazam
Unable to use this audio device with Shazam (have to disconnect the device each time) can you work on an update so we can use the audio device with Shazam please , thank you!
Crashes
Every time it pairs with my Baha 7 the app closes.
Improved app
Easy to use and paired quickly. I would like the Apple Watch app to have complications so I could add it to my watch face for quick adjustments.
Terrible App
Thankful the device works better than the app. Got a new phone and now cannot get the app on the new phone to connect to my device.
Not up to date
I haven’t been able to use this app with my Baha 6 and my iPhone 13. The app isn’t updated.
The Truth About This App
I’m blind, and hard of hearing. I hear great with my new sound processors, and the app is more accessible than ever. I’m grateful to have this app, and I am glad it works well for me.
Cannot connect
I got a new iPhone and my hearing aid will connect to the phone but not to the app.
This App is getting worse, not better
The recent update deleted all of my favorites that were saved and now I can’t create more than one favorite … my sound processor whistles even more lately. There really needs to be a better way for the user to adjust the internal audiogram as it is too expensive to go see an audiologist every time there’s an issue. My insurance doesn’t cover device setups and the only audiologist in town with the ability to adjust settings charges $300 for a “fitting”. Get with the 21st century already and let people have control of the $5,000 dollar device you’ve sold them!!!
Need more control
I want to be able to control more of the baha. Some times the baha losses the settings of the app
Brilliant App
Wow, after reading the other reviews on here I must say my own experience of this app is just the opposite of the other reviewers. I currently use the iPhone 12 Pro Max and to date I have had no issues at all. I find the app, fast, responsive and very easy to use. I will be upgrading to the iPhone 13 in a few weeks I just hope it continues to operate the same as it does on my present model. From me, it’s a big thank you and well done.

I cannot connect my sons Baha whatsoever. His Baha is connected to my phone but will not connect to the app.

Tout est dit dans le titre … impossible de créer un compte le captcha tourne en rond … et je ne trouve pas sur le site comment en créer un donc appli inutilisable …. Avec l’appli Baha5 et l’ancien modèle au moins ça ne demandait pas de compte et on était pas bloqué pour pouvoir l’utiliser
