AMAZING APP BRO
This app single-handedly got me through high school as a disabled teenager with learning disabilities. I got straight As and was able to build realistic study habits with this. If Crash Course had a god I would switch religions to worship it.
Unusable
Really wish I could download and use. App crashes at the loading screen. When I do get in there’s only 4 courses available. Guess I’ll have to keep watching on YouTube.

Great for studying a variety of science topics but I wish they made it compatible for computers
Sure is a CRASH course
I was really excited to implement this into my studying but the app crashes on the loading screen, even after redownloading and restarting my device.

The video button doesn’t work and you can’t play them you have to go to YouTube and watch them, but the app is good for flash cards and studying it’s a decent app.

App crashing upon open
I was really enjoying the flash card feature (though sad that videos could only be accessed separately in the browser), but as of a few days ago the app crashes when opened, even after device restart and deleting and redownloading. Would love to see this fixed since the flash cards add so much to the learning experience of the videos, which can be dense!
Not functional
They seem to have removed all the decks but five and the search functionality is no longer working.

App should be 17+
It’s ridiculous that the app is marked at 17+. Everything in this is very child friendly. It should be marked so it’s not picked up by iPhone content filters.
Videos not playing
The flash cards are neat but the videos will not play and that is annoying considering that’s basically the main feature.
App is broken, but I love it!

Totally Disappointed
I downloaded this because I LOVE Crash Course for the history, philosophy, psychology, literature and other topics it covers. I was excited to use this! Once I downloaded it, there were only four courses total available: Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics. These have to rank as my least favorite topics. Where are all of the others? I got a pop-up that told me all courses without decks were removed, but why?! This is such a bummer.

Great app and love the videos, but
It’s a great app and I love their videos but whenever I try to watch a video, I press the watch button and nothing happens. It doesn’t work and it’s very frustrating. Very disappointed.

Not enough courses
The app needs to improve the number of courses. I only see four courses, and those are not enough.
Doesn’t Download Videos
I guess I kind of misunderstood what this app was for. I assumed that when you downloaded a course it would also download the videos and you could watch them offline in the app (especially since you are able to “download” courses that have no flash cards included). This doesn’t seem to be the case; all the videos just link to YouTube, so you wouldn’t be able to watch them without internet. A bit disappointing, but the app has a nice interface and it’s nice to have flash cards for certain courses.
Other courses?
Why am I only seeing courses with decks now? I’ve had this app for a few years, and all the other courses are no longer there. What happened?
Bugs?
I am unable to see topics beyond biology, physics, anatomy and about 2 or three other topics…. The search function does not work either… I tried seeking for update options but there is none available. Please advise.

Can’t access anything
I love crash course and all of your videos and when I found out y’all had an app I was so excited. But I can’t access anything even after downloading the content.
Awesome app, with one catch
I used this app to study for an exam recently and I have no doubt that it helped me boost my grade at least 10%. The flash cards come straight from the video and have the visuals made a huge difference for my learning. The one thing that I find annoying is that it doesn’t rotate, so I can’t use my iPad keyboard the way I normally would when using the app. That would make it 5 stars!

This Ain’t It
I love DFTBA but this ain’t it. The search function doesn’t work at all, and I can’t access any courses except a handful I’m not even taking. I hope they fix these issues, because I see great potential.
STUDYING SUPERSTAR
In constant turmoil of AP courses it took me more than 12 tries before i found a free and EXPLANATORY platform to learn chemistry. If you have difficulty learning in a classroom this brings the perfect blend of 1 on 1 and seriousness that all classrooms would have def 5/5 💕
Update took away all courses without decks
Super upset, planned my child’s homeschool year using crash course videos, only to find update took away all courses without decks. 😤☹️😭

Courses
When in the app it only shows me the decks that come with the default when you download the app, I would really like to have other courses. I believe that this app is really good from the decks I do have. There is also the fact that when I search things up nothing pops up.
Bugs
App now only shows biology 2.0, chemistry, Anatomy/Physiology, and a couple others. Can’t access for example literature and business and ecology etc I’m Not sure if it’s due for an update? I also cannot search up Anything in the search bar. I believe it’s filled with bugs. I would like to be able to use it to its full potential please. When those features were available, it Was was an incredible app.

The app is awesome and I found it recently and because I follow you guys on YouTube I thought this would be just as awesome but it is honestly okay, it is a very limited app when trying to learn things, and I wish u guys could add more subjects, I follow you guys on YT for Psychology and sadly that is not what I found on here.

Decks won’t download
Have tried 3 separate times and I can’t get the decks to download. Wifi or data it doesn’t matter. I have to watch the videos on YouTube which is fine but it would be nice to have access to flash cards.
One of the best apps for learning
This app takes the amazing series on YouTube and adds to it beautifully designed flash cards. It takes the passive act of watching a crash course video and turns it in to an active learning tool. It’s Ad-Free and doesn’t require any sort of login. What could be improved: Landscape mode on iPad. Ability to download individual flashcard decks rather than whole subjects.
Great but....
I love Crash Course but this app displays sideways on my iPad. I’ll go back to using YouTube
Difficulty with ‘Study’ feature
Hi, I’m really enjoying the geography content as a geography teacher to be. I am however unable to access the study decks. I can see that they appear in the background but it will only allow me to ‘save and exit’ or ‘restart’ which leads to the same page. It would be great if you can fix this or let me know if I’m doing something wrong.

Great content but app needs improvements
Crash Course videos are amazing, I am very thankful to them, and encourage watchers to support on Patreon (as I do). However, this app has some important limitations at the moment. - It looks bad on iPad (just enlarged). - No way to create an account to sync between devices. - Losing track of course progress if remove the downloads. - Videos are not watched in the app, but open on a YouTube window, with adds. - It is very slow on the first opening, in a little slow in later openings. The cards look great and are a great initiative to learn more. I am sure the developers recognize the limitations I mentioned, maybe did not solve them yet because of developing or server costs. Remembering that all Crash Course content is free, this is completely understandable. Just be aware of the limitations to avoid frustrations. Maybe I had high expectations for the app, giving the amazing quality of Crash Course content. I look forward to future updates. Having an interactive app is a great initiative. Thanks very much to all Crash Course team for all the learning you provided over the years!
Crash course: great. App: not so much
The videos themselves are brilliant. But the app is clunky, the buttons too small, the videos don’t actually play in the app (they open in a browser) so you can’t watch in horizontal/land scape mode and the favourites feature simply doesn’t work! Great stuff but as an app, really should be better!
