I’m not able to download my vaccination certificate in Al hosn app . The vaccination was done in another country.

no OTP code
(based out of US) I’ve been trying to get a code sent to my number several times already and nothing has been showing up in my text messages. Reporting doesn’t make a difference and neither does using someone else’s phone number.

Basically I was going to al ain and wanted to an app that ‘was easy to use and a lot of realtives said that Al hosn was good so me and my family tried it out and I was really difficult to use and was a disaster and we had no idea on what to do but the time we got to our event we were all ready 2 hours late to our place

We are not able to login to Alhosn App on the IPhone 6 after the recent Update. Please consider to make the new update available for ios 12.5. and it would be great if the login by UAE pass available on Alhosn website. Thanks
Vaccination Certificate
The certificate only shows the first doses, not the most recent. The certificate makes it look like I’ve not had my booster. The certificate should show the most recent three jabs, not the first three.

SOLUTION TO PASSCODE ISSUE
I’m a United States citizen and this is how I was able to make the insanely unnecessary complex process of coming into Abu Dhabi possible. Step 1: I registered for ICA a few weeks before coming to Abu Dhabi and uploaded my passport info, vaccine cards, etc into the application. I (unfortunately or not) registered my application with my USA +1 cell number which I use internationally without issue (more on this below). You can also download Al Hosn ahead of time onto your phone but you will NOT be able to actually login or use it since you do not have a Unified ID Number yet (more on in Step 3). Step 2: Get RT-PCR Covid test 48 hours prior to departure. I had the worst time trying to figure out if it needed a QR code (which is not common in the US), and as someone who has been to the airport for Abu Dhabi from the USA, I can tell you it does not! Step 3: When you get to Abu Dhabi, when you are getting your passport stamped, make sure you ask for your Unified ID number as well as your entry visa number. You will also get COVID swabbed on arrival. Note: If you are reading this after the fact and never asked or got your Unified ID Number or entry visa number, go back to Abu Dhabi airport and find passport control in the arrivals area and you have to get them there unfortunately. So, what happened to me at this point after arriving in Abu Dhabi is that they told me I’d get a text to my cell that I put on my ICA application (see above - my +1 USA #) once my Covid test resulted and I’d be able to use my Unified ID number and cell # to login to Al Hosn. Well, I was able to login, but then the app says it’s sending me a one time passcode to my +1 number. Despite the fact that my cell phone was completely functioning fine and my iPhone is brand-new, I was not getting any passcode. At this point, I read the reviews for the app and realized many many people have had this issue. That’s when I sorted the reviews by “most recent” and literally have to give the biggest shout out to “dj ammixxx” who wrote the review titled “THE SOLUTION” cause basically without him, I would be completely lost. You can go back and read his instructions, but basically I went and bought a cheap throw away phone 84 dirhams and then a SIM card 49 dirhams and went to the passport control at the airport and changed my cell number to this new UAE #. The guy told me that it would take 30-60 minutes to update so I can login. I waited at the airport and tried after 25 minutes and it worked! I was able to open Al Hosn on my iPhone which was using my +1 USA # and input my new UAE number with my Unified ID Number and it sent a one time passcode to my throw away UAE phone!! Note: when you put in the number in the app, it already includes +971 when you choose UAE, so do NOT include the “0” in front of your number when you input it. This entire process was stressful cause I didn’t know if it was going to work but it does! Best of luck all!! P.S. Do NOT waste your time trying to search on their website for a solution, cause it doesn’t exist on their website. Do NOT waste your time trying to email them or call them cause no one will respond/answer - trust me when I tell you, just go to the airport in arrivals and find passport control. They will fix things in literally seconds to minutes.
Unable to see all users in same screen
I added few users under my number but on iPhone it shows only one user details other members are missing from my app. Please check. thanks
PCR results uploaded immediately
Was pretty worried about this app after seeing the poor reviews and started to get worried that it wouldn’t work for us but it was fine. Very efficient way of holding all PCR results in one place to show proof on entry everywhere you go.

Easy to use but needs little bit of modification
Currently up to this date, the app is working great and user friendly. It would be perfect if they can link this app with IPhone wallet. Would be easy and quick to view the test status in the app.

THE SOLUTION
The app must be linked to a UAE Phone number +971. Any other non +971 number will not work. If you haven’t created an account yet, make sure you get a +971 phone number and use this number when creating your account. There is more, so continue reading. You will need your Unified ID to use this app. Your Unified ID isn’t issued at a kisok as mentioned in the app. It is issued by the customs representative when you are going through customs in the UAE. MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR UNIFIED ID WHEN YOU GET YOUR PASSPORT STAMPED! ALSO, GET YOUR VISA NUMBER FROM THIS CUSTOMS REPRESENTATIVE. YOU MIGHT NEED YOUR VISA NUMBER IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY ISSUES! Now, If you have already gone through customs and didn’t get your Unified ID or you are experiencing issues, you are not out of luck. I’ll explain how to get your Unified ID and resolve any issues. If you don’t have your Unified ID, go to the Passport help desk in the airport. They can give you your Unified ID. If you didn’t use a +971 phone number when creating your account (through the app which redirects to ICA UAE), then get a +971 phone number and go to the Passport help desk at the airport and they can change the phone number linked to your account. If you are not near the airport, you can also update your phone number to a +971 phone number through their website, BUT… Use a computer not your phone. I was trying to use my phone (brand new iPhone also tried on a brand new Android) and the change number website wasn’t loading correctly, so use a laptop. You will need you entry Visa number, and your Unified ID to change your phone number linked to your account through their website. Note: If you’re on their website, the weird looking field “File No. *” with four sections or 3 sections is for your entry Visa number. Now, once you have updated your account with any changes, it can take 24 hours for the app to update. Just keep trying to login, but understand that it can take a day. Sometimes it updates in a couple hours though. Just something to note. If you don’t have your entry Visa number, you can also get it from the help Passport representative at the airport. I suggest you just go to the help Passport representative at the airport to get everything done in one place. They can issue you your Unified ID, give you your entry Visa number, and change the phone number linked to your account to a new number that you have (Must be +971 to work). I was in the UAE visiting a college friend who speaks Arabic and he helped me figured this out. Grateful for good friends. Thought I’d share. Hope this helps. App works but could do a lot better
App is not freezing for me and is working. However places asking for vaccination proof look at a small area of the app that just says first dose second dose. It would be great if they had a section where you could get the official certificate for traveling and for places in Dubai that are now asking for it.
App showing inaccurate colours while data is correct.
This is a very thoughtful and convenient initiative by UAE. Kudos for making the process hassle free for even tourists. However, I recently noticed the app changing to grey, to green and back again to grey, even though the test results are the same (negative) and the approvals from ICA are legit. I tried reaching out to the email id provided, but it said their mail box is full and could not be reached at the moment. The customer care executive also redirected the call to the same menu selection when I tried reaching out on the phone. Could you please advise how to resolve this issue. Thanks!
Never received the OTP
Not sure about the residents, but this app is definitely not friendly to foreigners. Phone numbers from other countries NEVER receive any OTP code and we can never log in to the app.
Not opening in iphone 6 plus from today 25-01-2022
Till yesterday Alhosn was opening in my Iphone 6 plus. But today it’s crashing. Any major changes in software? Still its supporting IOS 12 version?
Poor apps and no need
When I was in Dubai this past week. I asked immigration officer and hotel staffs. It seems very hard to activate this as tourist. The only way it will work is to get COVID test locally and get the local phone#. However, we used CDC vaccine card and paper COVID test report to get around without problem in Abu Dhabi. So no need for tourist at least right now (Dec. 2021)
Appreciate not working
I’m trying from last 3 days the app not working. Data haven’t been updated since last testing and I uninstalled & reinstalled application many time also tried login and logout but still facing same problem.

Is crap
This app is crap, it doesn’t want to work. I registered everything I possibly could and it’s not working. Came from States last night, got my Covid test done so I can get the ID number and I was not texted any information to my phone. Found out what my ID number is and I’m still waiting for the six digit verification to be emailed to me and it’s not working.

Set Up Issues
The one time password SMS was not being sent to my phone. I found eventually that deleting the app and reinstalling it resolved the issue.

Does not work with non UAE numbers. Use your passport and print your covid test results instead - these are widely accepted for tourists.

Terrible for International Visitors
Like many of the other reviews, as a visitor from another country this app does not work and the customer service is horrible. I got approval for my vaccine record and it’s showed as approved in the app as well as the PCR test I took upon arrival. However, the app was still grey. I contacted them and they told me to contact ICA only for ICA to tell me that the problem is with Al Hosn. I cannot recommend international visitors coming here until this issue is resolved.

After several failure attempts, I login successfully by using my Visa U.I.D number and tel.number mentioned in DOH at airport.
Not updating
The test results of visit visa holder conducted at Dubai airport has updated. But after travelling to Abu Dhabi the rest results are not getting updated. Kindly help in rectifying this issue
