Well toned abs for women in third trimester!?
I don’t understand why a visibly non-pregnant, very toned woman is demonstrating exercises for the third trimester. Many of the movements don’t look appropriate for late pregnancy, and that makes me feel unsure about their safety. Because of this, I don’t feel confident using the app.
Love this app. Needs some updates.
I have used this for 4 of my pregnancies already and I love it. But I also love the updates you’ve made to the basic yoga app. I’d love to be able to “thumbs up - thumbs down” stretches in this app. There are so many great options to pick from in the basic yoga app I’d love to see them come to this one as well. Thanks for keeping my pregnancies more comfortable w this app!
shocked to see so many positive reviews
Shocked to see so many five-star reviews, and reading them makes me think a lot are bots. You can only list one “boost” at a time, as though pregnant women don’t experience multiple symptoms at a time, and you can’t give thumbs-up or thumbs-down to specific poses, the way you can in other Down Dog apps. Since the feature exists in other Down Dog apps (yoga, etc) it feel extra dismissive that they didn’t bother to include it in prenatal when it may be even more useful. Feels like they only care about working on the apps with more long-terms users, but it’s honestly soured me on the whole company. I constantly find myself skipping over exercises in an attempt at a routine that actually works for me when half the poses are things that my body can’t do right now.
Prenatal yoga but no pregnant lady
I enjoy the options for boosts and flows but I really wish the person you’re watching was pregnant as well. When you’re using her as an example there are movements I can’t replicate because I’m Pregnant and she’s not. This is a PRENATAL APP, why wouldn’t you have your person also be pregnant. Even if it’s just wearing a fake belly at least the movements will be replicated more easily and in a realistic way
Love DownDog!
I’m an over 200 hr trained yoga teacher, so I could lead my own classes, but I don’t. I love the options in DownDog. It is one of my few subscriptions! Definitely recommend!

Why is the app crashing? I have reinstalled it multiple times. Please have this fixed. We love the app! Been a life saver!
Insufficient
I love Down Dog but feel the prenatal yoga options are sadly lacking. It is often too gentle and only offers two types of practices. I have seen plenty of pregnant women in Bikram classes with modifications made for certain postures (floor ones mostly) and I wish this was an option. I like the regular app because it's possible to do a full workout and customize your practice by liking/disliking poses, practicing various types of yoga, and adjusting the warm up and cool down periods. This app is a shell of the regular one, so unfortunate
Supportive, But Not Fully Inclusive
Firstly, I really appreciate several aspects of the app: • I love the variety of yoga styles available (restorative, hatha, gentle, labour prep). It allows me to choose what feels right depending on my energy levels and stage of pregnancy. • The “2x Boost” function is excellent. Being able to focus on specific areas like pelvic floor, inner thighs, or lower back is incredibly helpful during pregnancy when certain areas need more targeted support. • The customisation options (music and voice selection) are also a big plus. It makes the sessions feel personal and adaptable to different moods and preferences. A few suggestions that I think would improve the experience: • There aren’t many sessions featuring visibly pregnant models, particularly in the third trimester. At that stage, it’s especially helpful to see someone who is heavily pregnant demonstrating how poses are adapted and safely carried out. When models appear very lean or not visibly pregnant, it can make it harder to relate and may create uncertainty about whether poses are being performed in a way that feels realistic for a changing body. Including more third-trimester representation would greatly improve confidence and perceived safety. • It would be very helpful to include a structured postnatal programme for the first few weeks after birth. A guided transition from prenatal yoga into the main app would make recovery feel supported and intentional. • It would also be great to have session options that incorporate equipment such as yoga blocks, bolsters, or exercise balls, as many pregnant users rely on props for comfort and stability.

Not natural enough
The transitions are not natural enough for someone who practices yoga traditionally. There needs to be more cues to transition as well
понравилось, но слишком большой акцент на растяжение таза
занималась с этим приложением примерно месяц беспрерывно. изначально очень нравилось, но смущало обилие поз на растяжение таза. даже в сетах с выбранным дополнением «лобковый симфиз» таких поз много. сейчас мне диагностировали симфизит 1 степени и я решила занятия по этому приложению больше не делать, так как опции «сократить упражнения на растяжение таза и добавить какие-то другие упражнения» тут нет. буду искать подходящие комплексы в других местах, к сожалению в целом же хотелось бы иметь возможность выбирать пару дополнений, а не одно — например, я выбираю «лобковый симфиз» при симфизите и хочу больше внимания уделить пояснице. но за время занятий сложилось впечатление, что самое главное тут это растяжка таза, а все остальное идет побочно — хорошей растяжки поясницы мне тут не хватило

Good on the whole
I really like the concept of an app that is customisable for yoga practice and for the most part, this app delivers. I have only done one practice so far on the free trial but there are a couple of areas for improvement already. Firstly, you seem to be only able to select one area of focus (i.e. I couldn’t focus on practice for Labour as well as prioritising reflux friendly moves). Secondly, despite choosing to focus on reflux friendly moves, my practice had times where I had to have my head below my stomach which I couldn’t hack! Overall I like this app but I’m not sure yet whether I’d pay for it.
A bit boring
Compared to the normal yoga app with lots of options and variations, I feel like this needs an update. The class was fine but pretty boring and with almost no flow. I’m an experience yoga class taker so want something that aids my journey in pregnancy. Maybe normal classes are the way forward for now.
Not as good as the regular yoga app
I love the Down Dog family of apps so I was excited to see this one join the list. However, it’s been 4 years and it still isn’t as good as the original yoga app. There are only three intensities, two styles of yoga, and you still can’t like or exclude specific poses. Surely during pregnancy is exactly when you need to be able to exclude poses that don’t feel good to your body! It would be great if after all this time on the App Store, these changes could be made. Then it would be a 5 star app.
Much needed self care!
This prenatal yoga app really helped me stay active during my 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Yes - it can be a bit repetitive, but I didn’t mind that. I honestly just enjoyed getting to do yoga from home and adding this to my self care routine during pregnancy!

Great but…
This is a great app but what frustrates me is that it has me get on my back for a bridge for 20 seconds to only have me back up again for pigeon! To be then followed by Shavasana! That seems odd! That pigeon piece shouldn’t be in there!

I adore down dog. To find a prenatal yoga app that I actually adore when my city has no such classes was a total dream. It’s perfect for every stage and exactly what I needed while having a difficult third pregnancy.

Great app, modify for yourself and take it easy
This app helped me sleep better when I did it for a short time before bed. It helped ease pelvic pain and made me feel more flexible and more myself the next morning. Some exercises don’t cater for a larger bump or your bump as it reaches the the end of pregnancy so take it easy and only do what feels right. At first I thought, I can’t do these poses but after a couple of days I realised what a great app it is with the added choice of boosts to choose where you need some extra attention. Use yoga blocks and make sure you have loose fitting clothing around your middle. It would be great to have an app for after pregnancy too. Even for exercises to do without twists, just shoulders and upper back for breastfeeding
Downloaded prenatal but set to normal yoga
I downloaded the prenatal yoga app but when I log in it takes me to the normal yoga practices. I don’t have the option to choose which trimester I’m in and the poses are definitely not suitable for any one pregnant. I’m guessing it’s just a fault but with no customer service email and just a FAQ page which allows you to send a message but states that they may not reply, I don’t know how to change from the normal to prenatal. I’ve tried unsubscribing and re-subscribing which has cost me extra money and I’ve also tried to delete and re-download the app which also didn’t do anything and I’m still getting the normal yoga. App itself looks good though and so do the practices but unfortunately no use to me right now.

Easy to follow along. Some poses are hard for beginners that are not as flexible. Otherwise good app. Allows you to choose your time of workout and focus on certain areas you need to stretch more.

I love how you can customize your workout. It’s perfect! I’ve had restless legs/body at night during my pregnancy, so I make sure to get a 45 min slow flow in before bed. I am finally able to sleep. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Crashing and connection problems
I loved the content and the presentation. Bought a yearly subscription. Next day onwards, app is crashing and says connection problems ☹️

Prenatal Yoga
I used this app pre-pregnancy and enjoyed the yoga flows that were offered. I found that although you can choose what trimester you are in, the 3rd trimester prenatal yoga wasn't tailored enough to the 3rd trimester. I found there were a lot of poses that required adjustments.

Leider gibt es immer nur ein Video und keine Abwechslung in den Abläufen oder Übungen. Sehr schade. Hier stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht ganz bei dem Monatspreis.

App not working on airplay
I love this app so much so I’m reluctant to leave a negative review but I hope the developers fix the glitch which means that videos will not currently airplay to AppleTV without constantly buffering every 2 seconds! I have to play the workout on my phone which is very difficult to see from a distance. Tried restarting phone and AppleTV, all software updated so that’s not a problem either, and tested the regular DD Yoga app which works fine - it’s just this Prenatal one! Please, please, please fix the glitch DD team. Your app is so super but really should be able to airplay the videos.
Nice
Felt relaxed after even beginners 1 yoga. But it should have some yoga or meditation kind of music. And also option to play the videos on TV. Via Bluetooth or other options.
Quite lame
The prenatal yoga is pretty lame. Their most advanced level is intermediate, but even here you barely do anything that’s even remotely exhausting. I’m sure a better balance can be found between not overdoing it for the baby, and still having a reasonable workout.
Third trimester poses
I love the app, and have been using the regular down dog app for some time now. I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy, and have started trying out this app. I was a little disappointed to find that forward folds make their way into the sequence in many occasions. This pose does not seem conducive to this stage of pregnancy. I would have thought that keeping the setting at “third trimester“ would offer more relevant poses. Hope there may be some changes to come! Thank you!
Awesome
Absolutely love this app. It helped me through a very bad postpartum with two of my children. During COVID, they gave me a free trial when I got laid off to cover me for a whole year. This team is excellent, compassionate and everything that a pregnant woman needs during pregnancy and after. Definitely recommend it
It was great until it wasn’t
I loved This app until it suddenly started crashing for no apparent reason. Even restated phone and app multiple times but I can get it To play anymore. Very disappointing since This is a subscription based service
Prenatal yoga session
Thus is my first prenatal yoga session ever, so I may not know certain things, but it seemed like some of the poses were rushed? Other than that it’s an amazing application.

Von wegen man macht nicht immer die gleichen Übungen...Egal welchen Fokus oder welches Trimester oder welche Erfahrungsstufe ich einstelle-es wird in jedem Video immer nur das Gleiche gezeigt,lediglich eine Haltung zum ausgewählten Fokus kommt hinzu...sehr schwach für das Geld...

I kept using it as prenatal but although I know few things what not allowed to do when you’re pregnant still I was a bit nervous if it’s ok to do it.
