LOVE THIS
This app is perfect for moms especially if you have diastisis recti or need general strengthening of your core/whole body. I noticed a huge difference in my body and overall strength after just a week!
Cancel Subscription
They charged me for a year subscription when I hadn’t used the app in over 6 months and did not provide a refund. Their auto renew gives you no notifications beforehand. $120 down the drain for me. Very frustrating.
Good app, but doesn’t replace in-person physio therapist
Overall good exercises and good variation. But for significant post partem recovery issues, like substantial diastasis rectic, some of these exercises were not appropriate. Working with a physio therapist (local, in-person!) helped me understand what kind of exercises to do at which point in my healing and provided me with alternations to some of these exercises. For example, in tabletop core compressions if gravity is pulling organs through abdominal separation, try dropping arms and placing forehead on the ground, use breath to pull organs into place, then compress. Not everyone can afford a PT, so this app seems like a good resource in that case. Some people in the reviews have sworn by this app for their diastasis recti healing while mentioning that they’re doing crunches to heal. That would be a real hernia risk, not sure what’s happening there…
AirPlay doesn’t work after update
I can’t use it on my tv. I’m using it less often because of this. It’s difficult to follow along on my phone.
Program fine, no warning for renewal
Update: I reached out to their team and they did refund me the annual fee and have taken my feedback of sending renewal emails. I hope that’s something they implement going forward. Original: The program itself was fine. I thought it was helpful enough and gentle through pregnancy. After pregnancy I started going to the gym and didn’t really use it anymore. Had thought I’d cancelled but turns out I did not. I only realized after the annual charge hit my bank statement that I was still signed up. They don’t send any communication about an upcoming renewal so you can consider whether you want to continue or not. I find this predatory, relying on people to forget about their membership until it’s too late just to squeeze out a little more revenue. They do not offer refunds, even if you delete your account entirely. Cancelled now and will not be returning or recommending based on this practice.
It really works
I was going to wait til I finished the reclaim program (90 days) but after the check in at day 42 I can say with absolute certainty this program WORKS. I knew I was feeling different but wasn’t positive I looked any different. My weight is the same (I’m not overweight but have a belly) but after taking the check in photos I was like WOW there has been significant change! The first couple weeks I didn’t have tons of motivation but I did have disciple and once I had completed 21 days it’s become a habit. I feel incomplete if I don’t do the workout for the day and now seeing the progress I feel a huge motivation boost to keep going. This is the key: stick with it, be consistent for at least 21 days and just see for yourself. I do the core compressions and also the workouts. It feels too easy a lot of days but some days it can really push me. Either way it’s definitely working so I’m likely going to get the year subscription once I finish reclaim. I’m honestly just shocked how effective it is because it’s so doable!
Issues with demo and lagging
It forces you to watch the intro videos without being able to skip or pass. Several of them. Then it started lagging on me and when it reopened, it said I hadn’t watched them yet. Maybe it’s bc I’m pregnant but it was just way too annoying to continue. Cancelled my membership immediately.

Need more size diversity
I do wish there were more models of all shapes and sizes demonstrating the exercises. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if I’m doing things right because my larger abdomen does move the same way as a flat abdomen does.
Just what I needed
Short & sweet educational videos and workouts make it almost impossible to skip. Just the right intensity to feel accomplished and healthy without overdoing it.
Three years of charges for an app I didn't even have installed
I signed up for Every Mother in 2023 during my first pregnancy, used it for about a month, and believed I had cancelled. I hadn't had the app downloaded on any device since — no logins, no usage, nothing — yet I was charged for a full annual membership renewal in 2024, 2025, and again attempted in 2026. I only discovered this because a payment method I'd since cancelled for unrelated reasons triggered a "please update your card" email. Otherwise, this likely would have continued indefinitely. When I reached out, their support (a mix of an AI bot and then a human rep) confirmed the account would be cancelled going forward, but declined to refund any of the past charges, citing a blanket no-refund policy. I understand every company needs a policy, but three years of charges for a completely inactive account is a different situation than someone simply changing their mind — and I was disappointed that no exception was possible even after a "human review." I came to this company during one of the most exhausted, overextended seasons of my life — pregnant or postpartum for three years straight — and I think that's exactly the kind of situation a company built around supporting mothers should be able to show some flexibility for. I'd encourage anyone signing up to set a calendar reminder to double check your cancellation went through, because their system will keep billing you indefinitely without any usage-based checks or reminders
Great app.
What a wonderful idea for an app. Really great insights and workouts. My only gripe is that the workouts move a little fast. Sometimes by the time I figure out how to do an action and sequence my breathing half the time is up for that side.
So annoying!
Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones but I am so irritated by this app! The redundancy of core exercises and the instructor’s incessant voiceover, the nonsensical sequencing of exercises, the lack of easy transitions for the full body workouts that show you want exercise is coming up next and help you prepare for the new movement. It all just makes me so furious that I often stop the workouts before completing them out of frustration. Save your money and go do Pregnancy and Postpartum TV workouts on YouTube for free! So much better structured and so much more enjoyable.

Magical
This app is the only thing that helped me to heal my diastasis. I am 21 months post c-section, tried pelvic floor PT and 2 other apps for a long time before stumbling onto Every Mother, and no kidding- 1 month into this program my diastasis is gone. The core compressions are simple but effective. I think other apps I tried overcomplicated everything, but with this program it all just clicked. Finally feeling ready to try for baby #2 and plan to use this app in my next pregnancy also. Thanks EM!
Very disappointed.
I’m going to have to cancel my membership. I thought these workouts were going to be good for me restoring my rib separation but it ended up causing me to have bladder problems by feeling bladder pressure and feeling the need to pee very frequently. I didn’t even have these problems before and I’m not happy at all, wish I could just get my money back.
Great workouts, app has a few issues technically.
Workouts are fantastic but the technical implementation of the app has some issues - time zone issues in Europe and it exposed my personal email address rather than my user name, which I found disconcerting.
For every mother (that does not have a baby or toddler to care for)
The workouts are ok. That’s the good. The app has a lot of flaws. It’s hard to search for videos. You can get to other sections but can’t get back home without closing out the app. The forum is very clunky and is more functional as a Q&A. It’s also not easy/possible to search effectively. But the real problem I have — this is not for anyone that has a child to care for. ie. It’s not for ANY mother I know, let alone “every” mother. The “ how to get up and down safely “ video is about 20 minutes of every situation for you can think of except where you might be holding a baby. Or not have both arms and hand available to you. The fact that there isn’t a single mention of having a child or baby or breastfeeding etc is crazy. To take it further, there are multiple mentions that picking up anything moderately heavy (like a baby) will cause DR to get much worse. It’s mentioned in the forum that you shouldn’t have the weight of a baby/child on you at any time. The excercises assume that you have a solid hour a day without any childcare responsibilities. It’s fine for a DR fix for anyone that doesn’t have children or hasn’t been through childbirth. But definitely not for “every mother”
Helpful information and workouts, boring format
I’ve subscribed to Every Mother for multiple years and have used it on and off. First, I’ll say that I have learned a lot, and in the times I was more consistent with the workouts, I definitely saw results. Particularly, when I was going through a period of seeing a physical therapist for overactive pelvic floor, I found the program for this on Every Mother really helpful. However… I always have found the workouts to be repetitive and monotonous. I’ve done home/app/video workouts for my entire adult life, and I’d say this is one of the more boring systems I’ve used. Additionally, the way that the workouts are organized in the app, it’s really hard to find specific workouts if you don’t have the time to put in to follow a full plan (20-40 minutes a day, every day). I often prefer to do standalone workouts that fit with the time I have available, but the user interface makes it difficult to find what I’m looking for. Overall, a great app if you can stay motivated to use it. Personally, I’ve moved to other programs that are more interesting and motivating.
Great company, great product
The “reclaim” program for postpartum bodies has been great. I had a diastasis recti throughout my four pregnancies and never honestly tried to repair it until now. This makes it so much easier than having to go somewhere to see PT. Not an easy task when you have a bunch of kids to haul around with you. Plus, this program IS designed by PTs as well as other women’s health professionals. All the education they give has been a total eye opener— I understand a lot more about my body than I used to. I think I still have quite a ways to go as I can get four fingers + across the width of my DR but I am about halfway through the program and have been feeling more confident and motivated to continue. I also purchased the E M support garment and try to wear that overnight and sometimes during the day under my clothes. I recommend wearing it over a tank top. It definitely feels like it is pulling my abdominal muscles together and not allowing them to bulge out. A quick note about the customer service: they truly are fantastic. I have had only positive interactions with them and on situation, especially they went totally above and beyond my expectations.
No actual trial period
I don’t like having to pay without being able to see what the app offers. I thought you could pay and cancel within the trial period but no, not the case. And no refund.
Great and motivational
Such a great, easy to use app. Love it all. Two weeks in and still finding it very motivational! Thanks EM.
Inappropriate exercises
I’m currently on my third trimester so I chose to do the third trimester program on the app. As I’m doing the exercises, I’m just appalled by some exercises that were supposedly “designed for women in their third trimester”. Obviously, women in their third trimester have bellies that are as big as a watermelon, and this program is including moves that are just physically impossible (e.g., bird dog, child’s pose, inverted tabletop with one leg raised, etc.). These workout routines are mostly led by people who don’t have a physical obstruction on their abdomen so these moves are easy for them, but certainly not for any woman in her third trimester. And where is the path for postpartum? Isn’t this marketed as a solution for DR? I’m just utterly disappointed by this expensive purchase.
Despite 3 stars I am using it!
There are a few reasons why I only gave the app 3 stars and that’s because I’m comparing it to other exercise apps I’ve used. First, the workout variety is ok. However, there’s very little modifications demonstrated or even talked about. I would definitely not recommend this app for someone who’s entirely new to exercise and not aware of modifications. And really once you heal DR and strengthen your core you kind of move past the limits of the programs from what I can tell. Second, the repetitiveness of the vocal prompts is honestly quite annoying. I’ll have a few like “tight, tighter” and “ha, haaaa” probably stuck in the recesses of my mind for eternity. I mean there’s only so many ways you can phrase things. That could just be a me problem. But it would be nice to be able to mute the prompts in some videos where you do the same thing daily like the core compressions. Third, there’s not an easy way to fast forward or rewind using the phone. As a postpartum mom, I often need to pause in the middle of my workouts to check on a kid or baby and this tiny thing could make a huge accessibility difference. Overall, I like the program. I’m only 30 days in but I’m noticing differences. I just wish there were small changes and it’s definitely a niche for exercise. That’s why I rated it a 3 - just I know other programs start you off healing pelvic floor and core and then further expand with more variety. For its niche though I would rate it a 4.
Endless gratitude
I’ve been using Every Mother for 5 years. It probably saved me from depression and broken relations. Giving me something to commit to that actually worked to reclaim my body post twins was priceless to me. I love Leah and the Every Mother team. I feel cared for, seen, and celebrated. I can’t recommend this community and service more. I’m stronger and fitter than I’ve ever been. I’ve done all the workouts. I even ran marathon last year, and I credit Every Mother for getting me to a place I could enjoy running again. From the bottom of my soul, thank you Every Mother. I share this tool and lifeline with all new moms. It was critical to my healing and my personhood.
I pay WAY too much to not be able to listen to my own music while I work out
DON’T download if you aren’t ready for them to block your own music while you workout. That is a feature that needs to be available for the price. FREE apps have it. Very disappointed. I don’t even look forward to the workouts because of this.
Minimal support
While there is ok content within the app the community is not active and there is no community management so if you have a question or need help there’s no support. With post partum core recovery additional help is needed and would be worthwhile of the EM team to consider. I asked a question in the app May 14 and it’s June 20…I even DM‘d them on IG and they told me to email. A bit suspect.
Good program but didn’t work for me
I liked the workouts and finished the program. Unfortunately I didn’t see any changes. I know progress is slow, but I wish I saw something more. The app is good and the workouts are well made. I wish the community was more active. And I wish they had a monthly plan instead of annual so I could have tried it for a while.

They advertised a free trial before a $90 charge and charged the second I agreed. That is a scummy practice. Their app just has a bunch of 2min videos of breathing and easy pelvic floor exercises. You can find them on YouTube for free!
Content pretty good, App not good
Paid for subscription. The videos are mainly clear and easy to use. But the app itself is bad and needs work. Points that need fixing: - there’s no introduction to how the app works. I spent an evening figuring it out and am still not sure I’m using it the way it’s intended. - you can’t reset what day you’re on, so you keep moving forwards even if you’ve missed a day or didn’t start the first day you open the app - there’s no help or contact option if you’re struggling to figure it out - There are currently no channels open in the “village” and no way to start a new thread - this whole section seems abandoned.
Legit works for diastasis recti
I had not worked out since my 3rd C-section, 7 years ago, because my diastasis recti was so bad and I felt so discouraged and it was so uncomfortable. When I tried to do a crunch, it looked like an alien was trying to jump out of me. Random strangers would ask me when I was due. My OB, during my annual exam, said to me “your abdominal area has just completely given up, hasn’t it.” When I started with this app and did the first gap measurement, it felt like I could get both hand’s worth of fingers (so 8 fingers) into the gap, it was ridiculous. This app was a Hail Mary before I started looking for surgeons (that I can’t really afford). I have now been doing the exercises in this app at least 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Dear lord is it effective. I’m down to a two finger gap, and just a tiny little “gently sloping hill” when I try to do a crunch. I’ve lost .7 inch in my waist and .4 inch in my stomach. And the very best part is I can do the whole thing in my room with the door closed right after taking the kids to school before I head to the office. One time I couldn’t get the exercises in, and I literally did at least the core compressions in the car while driving to work. It’s easy and it feels good to do them. The only negative to this app is that my husband is a little miffed that I started spending so much money on new tops that are small and cute, instead of the tents I was wearing to hide my belly. Good problems. :)
Misleading
This App has a misleading membership policy and does not provide transparency on what the app includes until you are charged for the app. This is unfortunate given the target population.
Game changer
I have been on a weight loss journey after having 4 babies in 7 years. I have dialed in my nutrition and have been feeling really great and losing weight but I knew my abs and pelvic floor need help because I leak before I can make it to the potty and sometimes when I sneeze. I have been doing this every day for 2 weeks and I have already noticed huge changes and my tummy is flatter. I love this program and it’s the only thing I’ve ever done consistently for any amount of time. I’m going to continue to use it and I can’t even wait to see what I look and feel like after 12 weeks:) Thank you so much!
They take advantage of moms
I signed up for Every Mother under the impression that the workouts were about 15-20 minutes long. Perfect for a tired mom who has no time. Once you sign up, you realize the workouts are tedious and like 40-45 minutes or longer. I just didn’t have that much free time unfortunately. So I stopped using the app a couple years ago. If you want shorter workouts pregnancy and postpartum tv on YouTube is FREE and shorter and more helpful. The Chelsea method is great too (only 5-10min workouts). I apparently forgot to cancel my membership. I totally thought I did and honestly could have in the app and it didn’t take, but again, tired mom with not a lot of free time, so I guess I forgot to. Which is totally my bad. Anyway, I had it on a credit card I don’t use much, and apparently have been charged for 2 years. I tried to call the number, but it just says you have to email them and then hangs up on you. I found another number for the company, but it’s completely disconnected. So I emailed, takes at least a day for them to respond and of course won’t refund me for this year ( which is all I was asking for, not both years) quoted terms of service, blah, blah, blah. And they won’t let you talk to a person. I looked through my emails and the last notice from them is when I was charged in 2023, but no notice of eminent charges or receipt of charges for the last 2 years. Shady. It feels sort of like they are hoping moms will forget to cancel, so they can take advantage of them, and after reading a lot of other reviews, a lot of other moms feel the same way. So they have 2 years of payments from me that are going unused. It’s hard to believe they really care about mothers after this. Just another greedy corporation
Only thing that has helped DR
After three pregnancies and trying lots of exercise/pp apps this is the only DR program that I see results with. I love the way the app works and the calm and comforting aesthetic. My only complaint is that the founder does the workout videos and her directions are good but her form isn’t. I find that I don’t watch her because I end up doing the moves wrong and don’t “feel the burn” as much. I mentally just imagine I’m watching Megan Roupe 😅
Use Get mom strong instead
Subscription model is somewhat predatory especially for new moms and their customer service is inflexible and uncaring. Too bad. Instead I recommend Get Mom Strong as a program (they also have good customer service)
