Saved by my brothers best friend
Very good read!
Bonus treasure
Like this app. But have not been able to access the treasure bonuses. All I can get is the 5 coins.
Happy reading in this app!
I’m finding titles/books I want to read in JoyLit that I don’t find anywhere else. I would be happier if the cost were more affordable for me.
No freebies
No watching ads to unlock episodes. Pay or nothing.
Not happy about this
The unlimited reading is a scam. I have an hour left on my 7 day card and it’s deducting coins for every chapter.
Fun
Good stories to escape into. Kind of expensive though
Lotsa money
To read my current book and purchase the coins to cover it would cost me 158$. That is insane. Sorry I miscalculated. It’s only 106$.
Good content but…
I have to be fair with this app, they have legitimate writers . The stories are well written, interesting and worth the time . I am an avid reader and a bit of a writer myself , it is a pleasure to read good stories . With that being said , it feels as if the app got greedy , if money is so tight , sell the book. It is very annoying to be paying for almost every single page . That is why I read one story, pay for it and delete the app .
Too expensive
It shouldn’t cost over $50 to read a mediocre story that is full of mistakes, repetitions and inaccuracies.
JoyLit
I wish it wasn’t so expensive to refill and that the chapters were longer instead of having so many. I really like majority of the books but end up giving up due to the cost.
My hottie Neighbor
🤩❤️❤️❤️
Stop Charging to Read Book
Why are we as customers paying to read books. There should be way more free coins available. Very cheap Book app!!!
Easy read
Good stories but wish the coin amount was different
Good novels, way too expensive
So expensive for one novel. It seems like each chapter is costing more and more points even with a monthly subscription.
Too hard to get free coins
This app has some incredible stories on it but unlocking chapters uses coins and getting coins without spending heaps of money is really hard. There is an option daily to watch an ad for coins but u can only do this once per day and only unlock 15 coins when the average chapter requires 100 coins. If joylit offered more free coins a day so u can unlock and read at least one chapter (preferably multiple) a day, or even copy ReelShort as an example and let users watch an ad to unlock new content, this app would be five stars but with the difficulty to unlock new chapters for free this app is only pushing 3 stars.
What Happens in Vegas
Interesting Captivating Story line
To expensive
The ap doesn’t have a fee until you start reading then they charge you after a few chapters in, the fees fir additional chapters keep growing.
my experience
the best reading app to exist you really get a-lot of different versions of the book but one piece of advice i give is not every book needs a happy ending
At your own risk
I’ve now had this app for a couple of years. The app has changed from being able to unlock one chapter at a time to now having to unlock 2 chapters at a time. This ensures you have to purchase coins to continue reading. Books here are a hit or miss. Character name changes, storylines change, misspelled words , or just random things that make no sense are very common. So good luck. Reading gift, where you earn coins for reading, the timer on this is completely wrong. I have sat here and read for two hour straight (120 minutes) and I’m credited with reading for only 25 minutes. I purchased a day pass (1.99) spent the entire day reading (over 10 hours) before being credited with the max of 2 hours worth of reading. Reading challenges have never earned more than 77 coins and that’s for 30 chapters So again, enjoy at your own risk
1 page chapters
I would give this app 5 stars because I really loved this app and spend a lot of money on coins but the 1 page chapters is a cheat! Not only do you miss what happens in the book but it’s a waste of my money and my coins. Each book seems to have numerous 1 page chapters and I lose interest and money often never being able to finish a book. The programmers need to fix this ASAP!
Saved by my brothers bestfriend
So far such a beautiful love story
Too expensive
I thought the book was free. It’s not. Costs sooo much just to finish one book. Total ripoff. Feels like a grift or scam. At least let there be ads or pay for a book option. The total you pay for coins is more than you would in a book store
So far, So very good!
Only recently stumbled upon this app. I’m so glad, because the story I’m reading has me addicted! And this app has something that I haven’t come across on the others that I’ve tried, I don’t know if they do it all the time, however, a 1.99 full day pass popped up and I am loving that!
JoyLit app - great ebooks but expensive to read entire novel
Am rating JoyLit app as 2 stars only due to how expensive it is to purchase coins or monthly subscription. The ebooks / novels are really good. App needs more options to access chapters. You cannot earn enough coins daily to access chapters after reading or listening to the first 1/4 of each novel. You’ll have to purchase a monthly subscription. Need options such as watching ads or reading linked articles to earn coins faster. Am deeply hooked by “Saved by Brother’s Best Friend” but to access chapter twelve (more than a hundred chapters in novel), it’ll take 102 coins. Each successive chapter’s coinage access price increases successively. To finish reading this very enjoyable novel would cost way more than buying a large hardback book. Purchasing 600 coins is $4.99 USD. Least expensive monthly subscription is $9.99 a month. That nets 1000 coins first day of subscription. IF you check in daily afterwards with that subscription you are allotted 300 coins per day you check in.
Hey Beauty link
The stories are good, but I wish they would fix the rewards tied to the game Hey Beauty or else remove the link on the rewards page. I keep hoping with every update .
Enjoyable Reading
Captivating stories. I highly recommend
Complete rip off
This app charges the equivalent price of a hard cover book for an ebook. And they do it without first telling you what the total cost will be. Don't waste your money.
Free coins
You get free coins but you don’t get all of them who ever made the app can’t count
Hard to earn coins
The subscription is really misleading and it’s so hard to earn coins to continue reading on. You can only earn a few coins a day and each chapter takes about 50 -70 coins to unlock. It’s taken about a week to unlock the next chapter. I’m about to give up on my story and it’s so good to read 😒
Disappointed with coins
Hi I recently lost my husband so thought I’d start reading again .. I bought coins only to find I only got a few pages instead of what it said … I read for so many minutes to get the bonuses which are half of what it says or not at all and each day I sign in for daily bonus only to get half or less of the coins eg 30 coins today when I already had 116 coins meant I should’ve had 146 coins but I only have 123 coins so not enough to read next chapter .. What am I doing wrong , I don’t understand 🤔 I really love your books and when I can’t afford at the moment I don’t mind waiting for daily coins to add up but they need to be the correct coins given I also don’t mind spending some when I can either but when I have my kids to take care off, I need to receive what I pay for so I can have longer time in your books getting out of my own head and grieving for my husband. Please fix these issues so I can continue reading Thankyou
Bets app
Love the app and the books and one of my favorite things about the app is the unlimited $1.99 full day of free reading definitely recommend this book app to all u book lovers out there JoyLit is a for real reals #1 book app to have
Coin system is RIDICULOUS
The coin system is an absolute scam for US users - can the devs explain why when I’m at home, a subscription costs me $10, $20, $30, or $50 USD a month, but when I’m working overseas and subscribe, it can be anywhere from $2 USD a month to $50 USD a YEAR depending on the country I’m in? Why are USA subscribers getting so shafted for a COIN-BASED rather than unlimited reading subscription? This is definitely NOT a value- or budget-conscious app, and half the stories are either badly translated or can be found elsewhere under other authors and titles. I keep getting “new member” trial promotions when I switch countries, which is nice, but it’s definitely shown me how USA residents are getting taken.
I love the books
There is a great selection of books, love them but the prices are quite high.
Paid for Membership, No Coins!
Paid for the monthly subscription but have had no extra coins as promised. Emailed the support team and had no response! Absolute scam and annoying because the stories are good.
Started reading but the hoops to open the chapters were too many
Really enjoyed the story I started reading however the hoops I have to jump through to read them. Ridiculous! I refuse to pay double what an actual book would cost me to just open the chapters. More than happy to watch a few adds but will not download and play up to level 10 on game I have zero interest in to earn the coins to open a chapter. Nope not wasting my time doing that. Sadly I will be deleting this app. Hopefully I can find the books on another app.
Great Read!
I’m early in on this read and I’m loving it so far!
Good stories, but not that good
Great app if you like wasting money. There’s too many alternatives with good stories where you can just watch an add to unlock a chapter. Even if there weren’t alternatives, still wouldn’t use or recommend. Can’t afford to spend $300 just to finish a story.
Good story
I am new to this app. I like the story I’m reading but it’s too expensive! $70 and still not enough coins to finish it
To costly and to difficult to navigate.
Too much trouble to read often. Very Difficult to read unless you are willing to pay a fortune.
They just keep lying and conning for more coin offers and payments!
You are totally without shame! You steal my coins and then give me a useless excuse of having passed it on to some department? You the. Coerce me to join Readict ! And then the link from JoyLit Refuses to link with Readict There’s no free download Nothing! A bunch of crooks I’m posting complaints on Apple down with complaints to them directly about your shoddy service And lies
Joylit
Really enjoying the many books within the Joylit app.
VERY EXPENSIVE- NOT FREE
I am so sick of these companies, putting out novels and short movies that say that they are free to watch or free to read and then you get into about chapter 4 or 5 and they tell you have to buy coins or whatever to continue reading or watching and low and behold, you buy some coins. I think it's enough to buy a whole book because it cost more than any book will cost but when you get to, in my case today, chapter 30, you have to buy more coins and it won't tell you how many chapters or how many coins you need to read to the end of the book so I have read 29 chapters of a book and I refuse to pay another cent!Goodbye Joy Lit - don't fall for it.
Love the app💖
There is a problem with the daily bonus, the page is showing in a weird way and I cannot access all the menu lately. I do love the app, I am not sure to who to report the problem to. Sorry for putting it in the review. I want to resume reading the stories but I cannot now. I hope it will be resolved soon✨ Thank you😊
About the app
It’s so true about this ap it wants so much money you could buy half a dozen books for the price of one on here
Expensive
The subscription amount per month for coins is too expensive.
Point System ~Not happy
I enjoy the stories but I don’t like the way the point system is devied out!! Keep the stars for yourself we want the points!! Thanks!!
What a rip off
It costs a bloody fortune to read one of these books. Don’t waste your time and money. The story was fine but it is a total con job the way you have to pay such a high price. Also the text is riddled with typos and formatting errors. For the price you pay they can well afford a copy editor to proof the book.
Wonderful App but needs improvements
I enjoy the books on the app However, the interface of the app needs big improvements. For instance the reading gifts, it doesn’t allow you see how long reading it takes to earn the coins. Plus it says 400 coins cost CA 3.99, however, it takes more than that from my account. Also, sometimes it doesn’t update my coins meter on time which disrupts my reading. Overall, it’s a wonderful app but could use improvements Thank you 😊
Disappointed
Too expensive I thought spending £10 would at least buy a book wit looks though it’ll be More like £20-30 Kindle is much better. Unlimited books for £9.99 a month
Love the books but hate having to pay
Annoyance is that you get half way through a book then you don’t have Enough coins to read the rest unless you pay. No way of earning coins daily
