Yestory - Read Books & Booktok reviews
4.9 out of 5, based on 15,611 reviews.
What people like
- Stories are genuinely fun to read
- You can earn points by watching ads
- Great variety of different story genres
What they complain about
- Chapters cost way too much money
- Ads block progress and track you
- Support never actually helps your issues
- Billing charges even after you cancel
Free Reading
Having fun reading books for free: just play ads that lead you to other free books. When they lock for a day move to different ap and have more fun.
Subscription
Bought a subscription and canceled it soon after (so I wouldn’t forget about the recurring charge), but once I cancelled it revoked the coins I had paid for and was still charged…
Great stories
Great stories
Great storylines. Too expensive.
The teasers are great and get you hooked, but the cost for coins to purchase future chapters is way too expensive and it locks you into a subscription. Subscriptions are supposed to save you money. This is a money trap.
Watch ads
Wishing that it was possible to watch.ads to get more chapters. Kind of sucks when you get to chapter 8 and have to pay to read the rest and it was a really good story.
Yestory
Yestory is not as bad as I thought it would be
Too Expensive
Hate it, cost $19.00 to get 10 pages
Disappointed
Be very wary about this App you start to read the story and they demand that you have to allow them to track before you continue with the story. I believe that this request is an illegal the activity for the uk. Our ability to allow apps to track or not to track was put in place to protect us. Also in order for this to be registered, Apple has allowed this app to only register anything above four. But I will give this App a one.
Styles azz!!!
So I came to yes story because of an ad but I stayed for the writing. It’s so good. the style of writing after reading just two authors has been amazing. I don’t wanna go back to my old Books app.
Un completed Stories
Stories should be completed or at least post more chapters Waiting for an update makes readers lose focus & then we move on
I see no problems
I love the different stories, the checklist to get points, and the ads to be able to read. I see no problems
Fake reviews?
Based off of my own experience and reading reviews, I’m noticing the 5 star reviews are a mix of the same phrases over and over or actually negative reviews with a 5-star rating. The advertised story doesn’t go past what was featured in the ads without paying a lot!
Amazingly enjoyable
Have not been able to stop reading the story exciting love it
Duped
I paid for a subscription that dose not expire until 30 July,26. I’m not able to read stories without pay wall coming up. I wrote to developer for assistance and have not heard from them or had issue corrected.
Great app
Good
Rip Off
Look for another site to read stories. Yes Tory takes your money and then your coins disappear!! Terrible customer service! Run away from Yestory!!!
Time waste
Stories links and numbers don’t lead to anything. Even with paid membership story teases can’t be found.
Love it
Just kept seeing it and finally got the app loving the stories
Another scammy overpriced app
Each chapter costs about $1-2 to read, they won’t let you skip ahead to the end or see if the book is completed and daily rewards are capped at 20-35 per day when your average chapter is about 199 coins each ($9.99 for 1450 coins) with even “shorts” averaging 35 chapters. They also won’t accept prepaid debit cards, which makes me think the complaints about overcharging and charging after cancellations are probably accurate.
Good book- WAAAAYYY OVERPRICED!
I was reading the book they try to hook you with on an ad ‘My Husband took my Baby’s Heart’. I looked how much the first paid Chapter would be- 199 COINS! You get 1950 for $10. That’s a Dollar a chapter! There are 44 chapters CURRENTLY (not completed)- NO WAY this is a good way to spend your money.
Good app for spicy drama
I love looking for books that pop out to me and I love getting lost in the plot of the story
Super expensive
Not worth it. More expensive than KU and Kobo!!
Slow
So very slow to load not easy to use and expensive to top up.
Good books
So far I’m enjoying reading this book, hope other books on this app are interesting and well written.
Way TOO EXPENSIVE
Save time and money, move on and don’t buy. Poor grammar, spelling errors, disconnected story where information changed like the “author” forgot what they said previously.
Y
Awesome
Don’t waste your time
This app is such a hoax. The only way it lets you go past the chapter you read on the initial advertisement is if you purchase point. There is no option to watch ads or anything that would let you move forward. They just want you to buy from them. Such a disappointment because I was really wanting to finish the storyline, but you can take this happen and shove it.
I can’t stop reading these interesting books
I found somthing to keep me Busy when I am Bored or sick. Great books to ready
RIP OFF AVOID!!!
200 coins for a chapter? Total BS!! Authors want paid separately!! Better book apps out there, keep scrolling!!
Addicted
Love these stories
None
Complete ripoff I paid $5 and got 1 chapter, can’t imagine how much I’d have to pay for the whole book. No book is worth that.
