I love this game and am now coming back to it after some time, there’s only ads for rewards and there’s so much substance and so many things to do. Great game.

Good enough
I’m saying this as a person who plays a decent amount of rogue likes, the natural persistence of shields causes several fights to become a slog, taking a very long time and going nowhere, even reaching a turn limit and auto failing my run

Great Gameplay, but a Few Issues
Love the Slay the Spire-esque dungeon crawling, deck-building gameplay and the art style! The incremental “shopkeeper” unlocks at home base are a nice, unique touch. The fact that you have to pay real money for every character except the starter and that there are unskippable ads dropped this game a full 2 stars for me, unfortunately. As far as I could see, the only option to remove the ads was a $20 IAP, that did include other perks, but still seems a bit steep. Would gladly pay a largely reduced, one-time fee to play this game ad-free. Close to perfect if not for those few things, but I simply couldn’t look past them.

Rigged gameplay
The dice are stacked as hell in later difficulties. If this game is based off luck I’m a shoe. Don’t bother playing if you’re a completionist
fun but could be better
I liked this game, a lot, don’t get me wrong, I just wish it could be better. It feels lacking in a way that I can’t quite put my finger on, but it is still a fun and full game. I like it.
Seems fun but…
The game’s UI is clearly not optimized for iPhone 15. The camera blocks the enemy information that displays during battle. Otherwise, it seems like a fun game, similar to the ones made by the developer of Card Thief.

honestly i wish i could say i dislike this game, but im just indifferent ab it. like it feels that anything related to this game is just a waste of time… kinda makes me pity the devs
Unlock characters
I really wish there was another way to unlock characters, other than paying money. I completed the two characters that we are given for free, and now feel like there’s nothing to pull me back to play more.

Problem with iPhone 16
Great game but sadly the iPhone 16 screen island is hiding important text for the monster’s abilities!!
Picky Mobile Gamer
I don’t find many mobile games I enjoy, I scroll and download and start a lot but very few keep me around. Dicey Elementalist kept me coming back for more as I completed each different run with each character and enjoyed the challenge and the ability to truly step away and hop right back in to where you were. Highly recommend!
Beyond egregious ads
Despite having all audio off and my phone on silent, the bottom bumper ads had audio that couldn't be silenced unless I went to my control center and paused it. This would only work for 15-30 seconds until it would start again. Uninstalled.

What a shame…
What could have been a great game is a shamelessly broken mobile experience. Artificial difficulty is tagged on so you watch ads. Would have paid $5 easy to have a unbroken version of the game. Uninstalling after this review.

I would rate this 5 stars but after not playing this game for maybe 2-3 years i decided to redownload the game just to find out that all of my progress was lost. 😢Luckily all of my purchases were still kept so i still have all of the characters but still.

One of my favourite games
It’s hard to describe why I like this game so much. It’s just fun to build up new strategies and absolutely plow my way through encounters when I get the right set up. However, I have been encountering some pretty major bugs with the 6 elemental bosses. The fire elementals mirror cremates every 4th card instead of 5th. For some reason when I use the chanter for the earth elemental, the game just freezes when I break 5 shields. It’s happened 10 times in a row on 9 different runs. Which is a bit of a serious bug! Especially because I’ll have to skip even though I have a winning deck. TLDR: it’s a fun game. Albeit buggy.
It’s fun but…
The game is fun, but it blatantly cheats towards the end at harder levels. (clearly skipping rolls, giving you weaker cards on purpose, Enemies seem to match up perfectly against your build, etc) The optional ads for buffs are not working and every time I open the game I keep getting bombarded with a $35 offer.
Ads used to not be required
I’ve had this game since it came out and there were only a few characters, now every time you go into a new world it’s a forced ad no longer optional, I dislike that. Used to love this game. Plus I have all characters bought and I keep getting that pop up for 34.99 to buy all the characters. I do not need that I already own them. Game is still fun, but less now that it has forced ads.
Great free game!
I’d downloaded Dicey Dungeons a while back and it didn’t really stick. After having an itch for a game involving dice, I redownloaded it and I’m not quite sure why it didn’t hook me the first time. This game is addictive and fun as heck! There are a fair bit of ads, most of which are optional and rewarding, but for a F2P game, you get a lot of bang for your buck (0 bucks)! The game definitely gets pretty challenging, especially since it’s mostly luck-based, but it never feels totally unfair. Definitely a major recommend for anyone into roguelikes or dice-related games! The only issue I’ve encountered so far is that Wayne’s quests are showing up in a different language.
Stole my money
I paid for the character pack, but when I switched to a different device the restore purchases button doesn’t do anything.

Ad-Ridden RNG nightmare
I enjoyed this game for a bit. Completed 5 increasingly difficult runs before It became repetitive and the rng difficulty becomes a paywall. It is designed to manipulate you into spending money and the cost is not worth it. Try Wildfrost.

I would consider purchasing a pack in the game but I need to know that the game will keep updating and providing support and content. It doesn’t seem like so in the current state. I also see bugs where the challenges for gems in the main menu are popping up in Chinese. It is, unfortunately, not a finished game. And they won’t finish it or keep improving upon it. They are continuing to make money off it, tho.
READ BEFORE PLAYING
Um I have been playing for 1 year and I noticed they Jip you on rewards when I got my adventure contract I had the option to triple my rewards I did that cause I had 10 potions rocks and I would get 30 when I watched the add it said I got 30 when I got to my Home Screen it said I had 21 I hadn’t even gotten to use them!!! So that made me mad. But they have a nice gameplay and don’t have any add until u watch them to get more rewards but u JIPED ME OF MY REWARDS THAT ADD WAS 2 minutes long 2 MINUTES I CAN NEVER GET BACK.

Best game, but I wish there was a perma no ad
This game is the most fun in terms of rogue-lite genre, but asmentioned already before there are a lot of laces where you can choose to watch ads as a boost. It would be nice if there was option to purchase no ads forever, because I would certainly buy it.
Language issue
I’ve loved this game for years, only came back to it recently to discover my quests are now what looks like Japanese?? V confused
Good Game Marred by Ads and Pricing
I’ll start by saying that I like the game. However, I’m writing this review because it is difficult to enjoy that game due to implementation of the ads and the high price of removal, and the developer deserves this feedback. The ad experience won’t be unfamiliar to those that play mobile games, and it ISN’T as bad as some; very few ads are strictly required (when progressing between ‘levels’ every 10-15 minutes). But components of the game that feel like they’re what the core experience is balanced around are accessible only through watching extremely long ads that require you to wait and tap a combination of ‘Close’, ‘X’, Done’, or ‘>>’ at least three times. For instance, random pixies in front of doors that over a little boon on spinning a wheel are ad-gated. Rerolling more than once in mini-game rooms? Ad-gated. Want to claim both treasures from something? Ad-gated. You can purchase the ability to turn off the ads for a whopping 20 USD ($35 if you’d like the full progression awards and more than two character to pick from). I usually like games that give you the option of paying a lump sum or watching ads, but a) this is an unusually high price and b) what you purchase really begs the question of how the game is balanced. Is it balanced for playing without paying $20+? If it is, paying to take the ads away makes the game easier and probably a little less fun. Is it balanced for purchasing the key to pass the ad-gates? If so, you’re going to have to spend a LOT of time watching ads to avoid paying that $20+. It’s a shame mainly because, as I said at the beginning, there’s legitimately a good game here. The art is characterful and I love it. Gameplay is addictive in a good way. Characters have meaningful differences in play experience. I want to like this. I just wish I could pay a more reasonable amount to remove the ads, and not have to worry about lowering the difficulty if I do so.
Incredible
This game was amazing, but there was one thing that I didn’t like. The stealthy and the fearless were the only cards you didn’t have to spend money for.
Do not waste your money!
I liked this game at first, so i paid to unlock the characters. But very quickly it tops out, no more new content, and the challenges are either laughably easy or they give you impossible challenges (like the first rooms are bosses with special capabilities, high hp, and you have cards that only have 3 attack each). Just don’t waste your time or money like i did.
Change that placement of the ad good game tho
The ad on the top of the screen blocks info that I need to see and there’s no way to remove it ether. I enjoy this game but perhaps you could move your advertisements to another place?

Doesn’t fit iPhone 15 Pro
I’ve had to guess how many battles play out because the screen cut out, or little island the iPhone has gets in the way of the relic descriptions that enemies in the castles have. I can’t see. How can I effectively pursue any strategy when I can’t see what’s attacking me behind the scenes lol

Giving a one star for lazy devs shoving ads down your throat to even possibly be able to beat levels unless you watch them for the “bonus”. Some items don’t work like the treaty ring and have MULTIPLE threads online about it yet it still doesn’t work. Will be requesting a refund for incomplete game.
Fun game - frustrating higher levels
Have a ton of hours in the game- enjoy it a lot. Very simple but has a great set of mechanics that make it extremely fun to learn. Great casual game to play. With that being said it definitely has its issues. As others have mentioned- going up higher levels seems to mean worse odds to roll what you need. I’ve rolled through a full hp bar without getting a single match. Very annoying when you’re on a good run. Add more health or damage. Don’t just make it impossible to play a single card. Had issues with watching (voluntary) ads multiple times before they work. You’ll sometimes get in a fight with something that just can’t be killed, and you end up going back and forth forever. No way to get out of it besides ending the game and starting a new one. They aren’t game breaking, but I can see it driving away a lot of people when it comes to long term play.
Way too many ads
The banner that displays the enemy skills is hidden by ads. Almost everything is hidden behind a paywall or an ad. The ads are unnecessarily long and there is no way to pay to remove them. I find the translations quite awful. Aside from that, it’s a fun game to play, but I’m not going to break the bank or stick around for ads. I’ll probably stop playing in a day or two because of the ads alone.
It’s all RNG
Super fun concept, but as soon as you get into higher level play, your strategies and items don’t matter at all. The game kind of stops rewarding you for playing well.
Stolen Sounds - 5 Stars so people read
I love the concept of the game I’m absolutely addicted to it. BUT I have one big issue. A lot of their sounds I’ve noticed are exact sounds you hear in a pc game called World of Warcraft. The Phantom boss sounds exactly the same as the phantoms attacks in WoW. The little dice game with the book and prisoners, whenever you win it’s a similar sound to looting in WoW. The ice damage sound in this game is the same as it is for a certain spell in WoW. They have some of their own sounds, but most are from WoW.

Added too many Ads
Was a super fun and wonderful game, I even paid money to unlock some stuff, but then they added banner ads that are super distracting and cover relevant info during battles. They also added unlimited rerolls to the ! Room meaning if you are willing to sit through ads you can always win. Both are small changes but they rubbed me the wrong way and I don’t enjoy the game anymore
Good game but it makes me depressed
The luck in this game is so unbalanced lol. Wish it was a little more skill based so I can actually beat levels more than once every 3 days
