Really good app to precisely navigate and look for restaurants in the airport. As a plane enthusiast, I really wish to have the feature of showing the plane model of my upcoming flights.
Flight from Functionality
Overwhelmed, slow, and useless when timing matters most If you're heading to the airport, brace yourself—using this app might be the most stressful part of your journey. Airports are high-pressure environments. Travellers are usually in a hurry, carrying bags, keeping track of family, or racing against a tight departure window. In those moments, timing is everything. You need two critical pieces of information instantly: where to go and how fast you can get there. Unfortunately, this app fails at the absolute basics: Information Overload: The interface throws everything at you all at once. Sales, promos, ads, and irrelevant widgets clutter the screen, forcing you to wade through a sea of visual noise just to find a gate number or flight status. Complete Lack of Focus: It feels like the app was designed by a marketing department rather than someone who actually travels. Essential features like real-time flight updates, terminal maps, and directional guidance are buried beneath low-priority fluff. Painfully Slow Performance: When you're running to catch a connection, waiting 10–15 seconds for a sluggish screen to load or render a map is unacceptable. Performance bottlenecks make it unreliable when seconds count. Zero Empathy for User Context: The app completely ignores the mental state of its core users. Travellers are already anxious; an app should simplify their experience, reduce friction, and provide direct, clear directions fast. This app does the exact opposite. The Fix: The developers need to strip away the bloat and build a streamlined "Travel Mode." Give users a clean, hyper-focused dashboard with fast loading times, active flight tracking, live gate alerts, and instant turn-by-turn navigation. Until this app prioritizes utility over clutter, you're better off ignoring it entirely and relying on the airport display boards.

Please make it easier to book parking. At least remember the car number plate and details, and also don’t need to have a booking reference to find booking
Not bad
Not bad. Wish I could travel more to use it though
Bloated and basic features missing
I was just looking for a map of the airport and to find places around me. Perhaps the app does this, but I’ll never know. It’s far too bloated with useless features and far too frustrating to actually use
Excessive location access
Access location while running at the background
Good for flights
Useful for my layover and departure
Stealing my battery power in the background
I used it only to load the airport map and track my departure flight, but the app stayed active in background forever even after leaving HK for 10 hours. It used 58% of my iphone battery!!!
幾好用
幾好 係有啲食電
Battery hog
The app is used for a short period of time to look up flight info etc. However, without force closing the app, it will continue to run in the background and drain your phone’s battery very quickly.
Old version better!
Old version was actually better. Quite hard now to find the flight information, and not as fast / responsive.

App doesn’t work - terrible
In 2019 I used the previous Hong Kong Airport app and it was genuinely really useful and made my 9 hour layover so much easier. In 2024 I’ve tried using the app on 2 separate visits and not once have I been able to get the app to load. It just stays on the loading screen forever. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but this has made no difference. Currently (Feb/Mar ‘24), this app is pointless and exits without purpose. HK Airport might as well dispose of this.
