Lousy App
Yes agree this is lousy app. Ask me to register but there’s no program for registration. Waste readers time.
Failed authentication.
My ePapers app suddenly shows fail authentication and failed logout pop up. This happens even after update. Hope this issue will resolve soon.
Debug Screen Popping Up
Debug screen popping up when each articles is clicked to view. Shows a blank page with hello and the top with the word label.

App is fine and ok. Sometime fast and sometime slow depending Internet. I see many angry people here maybe they expect app is magic and they let frustration of outside world make them angry and come here to complain haha
Lousy Apps at Ipad. No issue on Android
Come On, is it Apple or Thestar issue? How come 2 prominent companies not paying attention to this? Since my day 1, going back to first page after switch apps. Also, with latest Ipad version, it is very hard to close by tapping the cross button!
Finally sorted out all the complaints ...
After many email complains to the paper’s management they have finally got their “developers” to solve the frequent crashes and silly screen capture restriction. It should not have taken this long for a major newspaper to resolve these complaints. With this 1.4 release I’ve not experienced anymore “crashes”. Finally.... I now rate it 4 stars
Poor
No ability to save articles. I’m a journalist and I want to be able to archive stories for ideas and background info. At least to be able to go to print dialogue and save as pdfs. Nope. I can do from the webpage on my laptop but not on the app. If the Star wants to see how to make a highly functional virtual newspaper app (which also allows easy saving/printing of articles) check out The Edge Malaysia.

Simple problem without a sloution
I really dont understand why until now the problem of not going back to the same page after minimizing the is not solved yet. If it is really that complicated to you to solve, please hire a new app developer because you will never face this silly problem in any other app. For that, i give one star only.
Cannot Load EPaper
I use to enjoy and getting my news using this App and lately it is very challenging. Not sure what happened but its need fixing. Very disappointed and I need to pay a subscription fee….. What is going on?

Please reload my ePaper. It disappeared during Deepavali. Never came back. Only the icon came back this morning.
Doesn’t remember the past page I was reading
Whenever I minimize this app, even for a second, when I reopen it takes me back to the Home screen. And then when I reopen the paper I was reading it takes me back to the front page. And then I have to flip through the pages to find back that last page I was on before I minimize this app. Very frustrating.
Non existent customer service and don’t care attitude
Renewed subscription recently during the Malaysia Day campaign which comes with RM50 TnG reload pin. Emailed multiple times to customer service and once to The Chief Content Officer of the newspaper on the reload pin. All emails met with no reply. Appalled with such don’t care attitude from a public listed newspaper company which is part of the The Star Media Group.
Unable to individual sections
Only the download all function can be use. Otherwise downloading each section individually the app will be stuck.
embarrassing.
college freshmen can design a better app for 10% grade in a semester, you guys take rm18 a month and make baby's first pdf reader. have some dignity. change so you don't need to use the calendar to check past issues, i'll ask for that specifically. the rest, go back to school figure out yourself.
Prone to crashing
This app won’t run on my old iPad. On my newer iPad, it will crash randomly and I have to open the app again and look for the last read page.
It’s the time to get it solved!
I dont know why it is so difficult for the developer of this app to solve the problem of not resuming reading from the same page when the reader gets out the app and return to continue reading! The rating of the app is very low mostly because of this glitch.
Downloading and sorting issue
Not user friendly as’ the previous app as can’t sort all the papers in the library by chronological order despite using the sort function Sometimes halfway the download hangs and nothing displays and need to restarts my iPad to go back to main menu
Seriously ?
How can the leading English Daily in a country ever come up with such a crappy app ? Nothing seems to work. Downloads take forever for such a simple thing as downloading a single day’s issue of newspaper, notwithstanding the fact that we are paying an annual subscription for it. Even after updating the app everytime, it still faces the same problems . If the App Store ever allows us to issue 1/2 a star for rating, I would have done so without any hesitation.
CANCEL or DON’T subscribe
Hopeless app, inconvenient to reader. Will cancel. truly regretted in subscribing.
