Awesome data visualization capabilities
I have literally dozens of weather apps - very few warrant purchase of features, and fewer still also find a place on my hope screen, but myPWS does. It transforms WU data from my Tempest weather station from functional to fantastic. Highly recommended for any PWS owner who has their station linked to Weather Underground!
Just use ws view plus
Everything is behind a paywall and if you don’t want to be annoyed while yang this app you just need to buy every feature. I bought most of the and I’m deleting this as ws view plus literally does all of it for free
MyPWS complication series 11 A+
I was pleasantly surprised when my Weather Underground station temperature showed up on my watch infograph and modular complications as advertised. The update does seem to be random times but in general its fine. I suspect this is more a watch issue than the app. It does update immediately if I actually hit the complication to see the underlying details and return. My only suggestion for improvement and why I took off a star is the legend page. This page should show the icon and a text description to clearly explain. I would also like to be able to reorder the detail page. The app is definitely a winner and it is really useful for me to see the temp in my backyard.
Used to be great
Used to be great when I could look at my watch and see the current temp from my weather station. But watch complication stopped updating last year, September 2024. I even opened a ticket in October as suggested by the support page and have not received a single update on status. Watch complication still does not ever update. If looking for auto update on the watch, might have to look elsewhere as this app is currently broken in that regard.
Great app
Just found this as I have an WS2000 love the station and this app goes well with it
App would be perfect if it had Widigits
This app would be PERFECT if it had device widgets. Developer says it’s not possible yet. They have an Apple Watch widget that calls for data the same amount of time. Other apps have widgets, but not an Apple Watch app or usable Apple Watch widgets. It’s a shame this app does not offer device widgets.
This Version Won’t Update
This app is great but this version loads upon updating then unloads and goes back to the update screen.
Junk
Does not connect with WEATHER UNGROUNDED SINCE IOS UPDATE as of 12/22/2025 don’t bother
Komplikation Farbverlauf
Wonderful App
This app is great at retrieving and displaying the data from your weather station. It is well organized, easy to read, and looks great. For some reason, WeatherUnderground does not show my station in their search results (even though it is connected and sending data). Thankfully this app never fails to quickly retrieve and display my data. After using it for just 10 minutes, I moved it right on my first screen of apps. Thanks for a great app.
Cool app maybe wrong timing.
I loaded the app and subscribed to all the features. 15 seconds later nothing was available. WU was up and operating on other apps. Maybe a glitch but pretty crappy for a first time see how cool the app is. To bad I can’t get that money back. Hopefully it comes back on line!
Great with the older watch faces
This app works perfectly with the older Apple Watch photo and portrait watch faces, but I found that even installing the new Photos watch face (introduced in watch OS 11?) breaks the watch app for all faces. No data will display and the app itself will not stay open until you delete the new Photos watch face and reboot the watch.
Download issue
The app refuses to download.
Fantastic app. Make my weather station useful again
This is fantastic and is everything a weather station app needs. I love the charts and graphs and the great way data is displayed. Watch complications are wonderful. This app really needs widgets for the iPhone Home Screen. Showing true weather data in a widget would be perfect, so please add it
AVOID !!!
Paid full price for all features, but the app continually asked for payment if the app is closed and reopened . Contacted app owner for support providing a screenshot; app owner just arrogantly replies with a link to a non applicable FAQ, couldn’t take the time to talk to a paid customer I guess. I complained to the app owner about the lack of paid support to fix a technical problem with their app, requested a refund, and then received a snarky and unprofessional response in return. Good riddance, the cost of the premium features are overpriced for the value provided, and all they do is charge you for formatting your OWN data that they siphon from the WU. If you do purchase don’t expect any support in return.
Great, but needs widgets
Love the app and used it for years, but IOS 18 has killed the old widget they had available. I like to quickly check the status of our weather station and we can no longer do that. Hoping they update so we do not need to move to another app.
broken. 1.104 will not update. the developer put it on app store but it will never load.
broken update released today 1.10. this is what was put on app store. I have not found a way to contact developer..was a great program but this update broke it.
Hidden additional cost
Paid to upgrade, only to discover after doing so a new tier of payment was uncovered and I need to pay an additional $6 on top of the $10 just spent to gain access to the data.
Great App for PWS
I tried a couple of the other PWS apps. This one is by far the best. It is easy to use. It has great charts and many extra features that I really wanted to begin with. Even the app that came with the weather station would not work correctly but this one works perfect. I have now deleted the rest of the second class PWS apps and I’m using this one. It’s great I absolutely love it. It’s well worth the try and the add ons are great and they are not subscriptions. They are one time purchases, which is even better.
Data loss
What happened to all the data for the last 7 years that I already had downloaded? It’s all seems to have vanished. I already had the months downloaded what happened? Who would want to download 84 months worth of information again?
Great app but missing data
This app is great and easy to use, but my weather station produces more data and this app does not grab it, like extra temp sensors amend air quality.
Why do I have to keep restoring the purchase?!
It used to be a few times a year but now is about once or twice a week that I have to restore purchases when it refuses to work on my Apple Watch. I’ve rarely ever had to restore a purchase of any other app, why does this one keep requiring it?!!!
Apple Watch
I actually asked for a refund because the Apple Watch integration does not work properly unfortunately. It does NOT update the watch unless you actually tap the widget. Which is kinda pointless of having a widget. I hope they fix it soon because I have found no other that offers this feature
Wow!
Great app! Wish I found this years ago for my Davis PWS connected to WU! Has all the data and charts I’ve been wanting on the go! A nice addition would be able to connect to a meteobridge or davis weatherlink live when on the local network for real-time updates. Keep up the good work!!
Terrible service deny their mistakes
Anytime you point out a bug or flaw or ask them to fix something, they claim the issue is WU or your PWS. They showed correct data for windchill, but graph was showing the temp graph instead of windchill graph. They blamed WU and my PWS. Despite showing them examples of this on other PWS’s. You’ll notice that most of their help articles play the same blame game. I even showed them the problem on PWS’s that they claimed did not show the issue. There are many other apps here that are much better than this one!
Potential Security Issues - Fixed
After my 1 star rating - I removed my old review and updated to 4 after the developer fixed the problem with Norton Security flagging a security issue. The app works - the add on features are pricy but it does push the weather from my local pws to my watch. If you look at Carrot Weather and what they charge perhaps it’s a bargain. Anyway I have been using the app for years - and it does what it says.
Seems nice, but you had better want to pay for it…
Penalizes free users with timed pop-ups. Couldn’t really tour the app and make an informed decision without being begged for cash at every turn. Immediate uninstall.
iOS App?
I don’t care about the Apple Watch, but I am looking for an iPad/iPhone widget.
Perfect App for PWS
Incredible fast loading screens and visually appealing. Works perfect with my AcuRite PWS. They definitely created a great App with an assortment of well described and very functional add on features that can be purchased.

Best PWS App… However…
This is the best PWS app currently on the App Store (as of 7/7/2023). It doesn’t seem like there’s much interest out there for making one with a more visually pleasing or customizable UI. MyPWS does give me all the information I need and so far there’s been no bugs or issues. It’s definitely far, far better than the Weather Underground PWS app. It also warns you when you might send too many API requests (WU has a 1500 limit per day). However… Wow. I just got nickeled and dimed like crazy with these in-app purchases. I do NOT understand why the dev chose not to incorporate an “All Add-ons” option… but that’s what I thought the “Feature Pack” was. Oh boy, I was horribly mistaken there because not only are the unlocks not explained very well at all, but it didn’t unlock any of the other items I had expected it would. Why not at the very LEAST include the “Special Charts” add-on in the “Feature Pack”?!?!? Outside of buying the Watch app (which I would have purchased had I not been so completely mislead), I just spent a total of $16.96 unlocking all the features I needed to use this app’s daily, monthly and yearly charts. It’s been 20 minutes now and I’m still sitting here shocked. It doesn’t even seem like the dev is around much anymore as they haven’t replied to a review in over 2 years, but luckily there’s still periodic app bug fixes and optimizations? My take? Buy a domain and hosting. Install WordPress and learn WU’s API so that you can build your own customized PWS site. You can even install a plugin for viewing with on mobile/tablet. Then share your build with me. Lol
FAILING APP
This was a brilliant app but for quite some months now cannot replicate data from Wunderground. Queries to the app producer remain unanswered. Also I did not like the failure to reproduction of data was beyond their capability, an excuse I totally reject - speak to each other!!!
Geared towards forcing you to buy add-ons. Otherwise useless
If you don’t buy add-ons you can’t see the data clearly, and it keeps popping you a message about it. Just make it available for money and don’t give us this useless free app
Best app on apple.
As a software engineer with 40 years of experience, I am confident to say this is the most feature-packed, well-designed, cleanest app on the App Store in any category. If you like weather stations or if you just go outside IN the weather, to want this app. Great job!
Decent potential, horrible implementation
If you’ve got a decent product, prove it to customers and they’ll want to support you. This app teases what MIGHT be a decent idea experience, but literally every icon and button you touch immediately prompts some upgrade package, link to a store, an OVERLAY blocking the “included” graphs reminding you to buy, upgrade, or go to their app package store, blah blah blah. Usually I’d try to fumble around the add-on prompts to see if it’s worth it, but this was so incredibly forceful that I wanted to throw my phone across the room. Deleted immediately; wouldn’t recommend. I’d suggest these developers grab a friends phone and test out the “user experience” from a fresh perspective, because they’ve lost ALL touch.
Great for Casual Meteorologists
Great app with sensible in app purchases. I wish it had widgets as an IAP as well. That would make it 5 stars for me.
Good features if only they worked
This app is capable of doing everything i want. I have paid for all the options and sometimes they work! But mostly i get a screen that says you must buy the optional package which i have done. so i get to the buy screen refresh my purchase and then get toled no data in cache. so i download amonth and suddenly all the old data is there! then i want to print or download the chart. again it says must buy the same package i already bought and refreshed. its the never ending ground hog day repeat saga. refresh the purchase , refresh the data , maybe get it to work, repeat twoor three times. WORST SOFTWARE DESIGN EVER. and then they show a tip jar. My response I paid for crap. why should I reward you.
Ok
My issue is with the Watch complication. Sometimes it just changes to humidity when I want temperature. Or if I change my weather station if I’m traveling the new location won’t show up in the watch complication. It’s even switched from f to c for no reason. I like the app, but I’m sorry I payed to unlock the watch app, because the complication displayed is inconsistent. Oh well
Great App
Love easy, immediate access to my weather station data, both on my phone and my watch. I have picked up a few of the in-app purchases to expand the functionality to my needs. One suggestion I have thought is the ability to share those in-app purchases with my family. My wife would love the app on her watch as well, but I’d have to pay another $4.99 to enable it on her phone.
Too many popups
Literally any click I make in the app it pops up a reminder for in app purchases, which needs to be viewed for several seconds before dismissing. Might as well just charge people out of the gate for it, utterly ridiculous if you want to use it for free. Uninstalling
Excellent
Love this but the in app purchases should be consolidated and simplified.
Ridiculous in app purchase
Really? In app purchase to view historical data I can get from WUND website for free? Nope. I gave 2 stars instead 1 because the app looks nice.
Weather Station App
It’s really a nice app. It just cost too much to make it useful. Why not include all the features up front for a price instead of having to buy this and that. Deleted it.
JLJ66
Really appreciate this app helps with Ag record keeping.
Pop ups pop ups pop ups
Wind direction is correct but arrow points the wind direction not from direction. Touch the screen and a pop up comes up wanting to upgrade CONSTANTLY. Would be great otherwise. Not sure I would have purchased if I’d known it wanted you to purchase something all the time. I really Hate pop ups!
Good but Updates too often
Is a fairly bare bones app I use to monitor temperatures at my home weather station. But, it wants app updates at least every two weeks. Sometimes more often.
Was great until.....
They abandoned ship and now it’s worthless
Seems good but too many in app purchases
The app seems like it could be good, but everywhere you turn you’ve got to buy an in app purchase to unlock something. It feels miles over the top.
